Any chance you spend time in Vegas? You are a whiz with odds. You have laid out a lot to think about. I'm sure we'll have a lot of time to ponder it before we find out. Ha.
I really like your percentage arguement. I was quite vexed when Jon was killed. The Freys are a bunch of faithless scumbags. Melisandre is in it for herself in the end. And GRRM better not get the flu and die.
I hadn't thought about the Varamyr prologue bit being a foreshadowing, but now that you mention it it does make a lot of sense.
I would rather they kill Jon off than start a new storyline for him. With two books left i'd like to see an emphasis on Sansa, who at the beginning of the series i hated but now her storyline is interesting

I agree that her story is boring in the first novels but Sansa's story gets so interesting after Littlefinger decides to take an interest in her.
My guess is that there is going to be a war between everyone in Westeros vying for Sansa hand and the right to Winterfell.
Regarding Sansa's storyline, I'm wondering what kind of interaction is going to happen with Petyr and Stoneheart/Catelyn. Is he going to mentor Sansa, marry Sansa, or use her as bait to get Catelyn in his control? He only ever loved one woman... the question is, is he more good or more evil?

Yeah, reading the prologue at the beginning of the book, I was thinking, "Oh, so Jon's going to die and go into Ghost forever?" Epic foreshadowing.
