Fair enough :)
I think Pip was ignorant but not evil. You can blame his ignorance on the way his elder sister brought him up by constantly reminding of how taxing he was for her. It will be quite too much to expect greatness from Pip. Rather, he represents many of us who chase their dreams without realizing what it might lead them to or how others will be affected due to their actions.
