Pamela Sandyboy, are you sure you gave it a good chance? I guess to each his own. There are just so few who didn't like it.

Richard certainly did. it became too formulaic and episodic. the characters became annoying - the old fella who taught them about vampires, the father / mother estranged relationship - it all felt hack-kneyed. but as you say, to each his own. my favourite vampire novel is a tad more old school - 'salems lot - the recent The Passage also failed woefully in my eyes

Pamela You're right. Not everyone is going to like the same book. That's what I love about discussing books with people. To discover why they like or don't like a book.
By the way, except for the first part of "The Passage" which I enjoyed, the second part was brutal! I couldn't continue with it after a few chapters.

i think that the first book was amazing,although the vampires look liked a lot like the one on "Blade 2", the mutated one... then i found on Youtube, a video, criticizing that precisely... the second one, i thought was very good, not excellent, because of Sardu, i dont know, i didnt like how things turned out... Waiting for the third one,anxiously
