Help me understand what you are saying here. You say he is not a good writer, but his story is compelling. If an author tells a good story, aren't they a good writer? Are you referring to his grammar or what do you mean he is not a good writer? Based on how many books he has sold, I would have to argue their are few modern writers better than Dan Brown. This is one of my favorite books, although I enjoyed Angels & Demons the most of all his books. His latest was fairly disappointing after the long wait for a follow up to Da Vinci Code. I love reading historical fiction, but must say I don't know many authors in this genre.
I liked it. I prefer fast-paced stories.
