I believe Dashner said Minho was his sister's husband/fiancee?
Actually (as people below said) he said that it was someone who would be famous in the future? but i still think he took the name from his brother-in-law
i think it is Minho because in Korea there are lots of famous guys there also named Minho.
@Sara I know, that's what I meant by no scientist being named after him :)
I think he said he wanted to create someone named after someone who did not yet live because its set in the future. But I could be wrong I read it on the internet so you know.

James Dashner (the author) has a niece who's husband is korean and named Minho.
