Eager to read Sujata Massey's Perveen Mistry #4, The Mistress of Bhatia House, due out July 11 and Martin Walker's next Bruno Chief of Police, A Chateau Under Siege, due out at the end of August.
Good list! Looking forward to "The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store" by James McBride, "The Whispers" by Ashley Audrain, and "None of This is True" by Lisa Jewell.
Why is everything by USA writers? Your choices are so narrow - i appreciate that you try to bring in books by non white Americans and by non-hetrosexual writers - but everything is SO USA centric - even the historical fiction is written by US based authors - I like to read to experience the world - to live through books of the lives in Russia, India, Nigeria, Ireland ...
I’m so excited for One Of Us is Back! I loved the first 2 and love reading murders so I can’t wait! Karen M. McManus is one of my favorite authors. For a school thing I chose her and I read all of her books and every time they got better and better.
One of Us Is Back by Karen M. McManus
I’m so excited for “One of us is Back”, I’ve been counting down the days since I found the release date 😀
Very interesting list. I am looking forward to read some of the books. Especially horror as I never read this genre.

There are at least a few good ones coming up:
The Broken Hearts Club by Susan Bishop Crispell (June 6)
Sex Ed by Kristen Bailey (July 4)
Hello Stranger by Katherine Center (July 11)
Play To Win by Jodie Slaughter (July 11)
Someone Just Like You by Meredith Schorr (July 25)
Kissing Kosher by Jean Meltzer (August 29)
Agree about the Best Title award...very clever!!
(On Earth as it is on Television). Not generally a reader of Sci-Fi, but the title really intrigues me!
Thanks for the article and list!!
Did my TBR need anymore books… NO
Did it just get a bunch of new additions… yes. Hope BOTM pick some of these up!

Me too, it sounds fascinating!

Not at all. Several of the books on my list were written by guys.
Male authors outside of nonfiction don't get pushed as heavily by the Megas, and therefore don't show up on Goodreads' lists as much.
Emma Brankin - Attention Seekers. Short stories are so ideal for Summer reading and I've read some of her work and LOVED it so can't wait for this to come out in July
Emma Brankin
Wow, so many excellent books added to my queue -- cannot wait to read them, particularly the new fiction, which includes a lot of interesting historical pieces, including by Isabel Allende.
Can anyone recommend me a good source of upcoming books? I know an exhaustive list must be difficult to find, but I'm having trouble finding out about new releases. Goodreads is great, but I'm mostly interested in non-fiction and I'm constantly finding books that came out years ago.

The best I've found is publisher website/ social media.

Here's my own (current) list of books publishing from June 2023 through August 2023:
I don't think these lists are intended for the average reader.

I'm almost 100% certain you're right, but dammit, I'm going to keep trying to speak some sense into these threads as much as I can.
While working both in groups and solo to bring about the rise of other book review/ recommendation sites to eventually eclipse this one, for this very reason (among others).
