I was born in Venezuela in the seventies. Breeze Marturell is my pen name, my real name is Yurany Romero.
Since I was a little child, books were my companions. Oscar Wilde, Victor Hugo, Gabriel García Márquez, showed me a wonderful and limitless world. I can still remember that night I stole Crime and Punishment from my sister's room.
I was thirteen and Dostoyevsky changed my world. (Obviously, my mother had no idea about what genre I was reading). A year later, I found myself writing a short story, "The spell of Horak and the Fantasy" and sent it to a contest promoted by the District but never knew if it won anything.
