Bewitched Before Christmas by Nina Croft:
Christmas is a time to spend with family, but Lola's don't seem to want her back. Instead, she's stuck in the wilds of Scotland under the protection of Lachlan MacNair, a blood-sucking monster, who's determined to make sure she has the sorriest Christmas ever. Things go from bad to much, much worse when Lola sees a vision of herself kissing Lachlan, under the mistletoe.
Lola is a powerful witch and her visions of the future always come true. Until now. Because this one... Never. Going. To. Happen.

The Lone Wolf's Wish by Lisa Kessler:
Shane Dodd has lost everything, his Pack, his home, and hope. His only wish this Christmas is to live long enough to exact revenge on the Nero assassin he believes killed his Pack. But when he steps between a bullet and Piper Holland everything changes. The woman dressed as one of Santa's elves is his mate, and she ignites a flame in his heart. But hope and love are dangerous wishes for a lone wolf.

Shifting Seasons by Sheryl Nantus:
Cassie Nyre is looking forward to a quiet and lonely Christmas—until she finds an injured animal on the way home. Her big heart has her bring the hurt otter into her home and into her bathtub, to rest until Christmas Day when she can deliver it to Animal Control. But the next morning she finds a semi-naked man in her bathroom—and it's not Santa Claus!

Bewitch You a Merry Christmas by Juliette Cross:
With a Christmas curse to break and a Karaoke party to plan, all Evie really wants is time with her werewolf boyfriend. Private time. All-night-in-his-arms time. But as hex-breaker of the Savoie Sisters coven, the most powerful in New Orleans, she needs to take care of business and family favors first. After that, Mateo Cruz and his broody, sexy self is all hers.

The Wolf I Want for Christmas by Abigail Owen:
Cade Campbell has spent ten years in hiding, preparing to return to his small town, the pack his uncle stole from him...and the mate who doesn't know she's been waiting for him. When he shows up on Shyla's doorstep a few days before Christmas he discovers the sweet, quiet girl he grew up with is all woman. The problem is she's become a loner, is obsessively neat, and allergic to dogs. Bad news for this wolf. Still, Cade's not giving up on her or on taking his rightful place as alpha. Maybe this year Santa could finally get things right.

Review of Bewitch You A Merry Christmas by Juliette Cross:

I have to admit, I bought this book primarily for this short story...even though I haven’t read Mateo and Evie’s story yet. This gives a quick look at their happy ever after without giving anything away as to what they went through or how they got to where they currently are. And I loved everything I learned about them and find myself even more anxious to get the rest.

This has no drama, just extra cute witchy hi-jinx, some fabulous characters I cannot wait to learn more about, and a supersize dose of steam that should be illegal but of which I’m very glad is not.

My granny always ate her dessert first to insure she’d have room for it and that is exactly what reading this short story was for me. But without the guilt.

Shifting Seasons by Sheryl Nantus:

I have liked, if not loved every story I’ve read by Sheryl Nantus. Shifting Seasons was no different. This was my first time reading an otter shifter story and I had no idea what to expect. I honestly didn’t even know otter shifters existed.

Shifting Seasons starts on Christmas Eve. For Cassie Nyre, this time of the year isn’t the best. A year ago, both her parents passed away. Being in Pennsylvania while her only living relative is in Arizona just highlights the fact that she’s alone. While walking home from the bar she co-owns, Cassie comes across an injured otter. Picking it up, she takes it to her home, with the intention of getting it to someone who can properly take care of it the next day. Cassie patches up the otter as best as she can and puts it in her bathtub, with a little water to make it more comfortable. She never imagined that she would wake up the next day and find a naked man in her bathtub.

Alec Riverstorm is grateful that he was rescued. While he could have healed in his otter form, healing in his human form is faster. He never intended to have his shifting abilities discovered, but he can’t deny that he’s happy Cassie is the one who found him.

I loved the characters of Cassie and Alec. I loved reading about how their relationship blossomed and grew. I loved the little surprise Sheryl added to the story. I will never look at otters the same again.

As with all the other books I’ve read by Sheryl, my only complaint is that I wish there was more. I had a permanent smile on my face the whole time I was reading and I didn’t want the story to end.

Christmas in Atlantis by Alyssa Dare—-This paranormal romantic reboot of The Gift of the Magi was delightful! Love, sacrifice, and the Christmas spirit abound as Lyric and Dare realize their feelings for each other. It feels like ages since I last picked up this series, but it’s nice to know Poseidon’s Warriors can still charm and make me laugh!

Bewitch You a Merry Christmas by Juliette Cross—-I think this is a prequel to Cross’s new shifter series and I am hooked!! Evie and Mateo have chemistry and connection, but it’s Mateo’s wolf half, Alpha, that had me dying!!! Evie’s sisters are also a hot mess and I want to know more about them, but seriously, Alpha?! Where Mateo is sweet, thoughtful, helpful, considerate...you get where I’m going...Alpha is exactly as his name implies... And HIS thoughts had my eyebrows raising and snorting laughter from his first introduction:)

The Wolf I Want For Christmas by Abigail Owen—-Cade was a slightly taciturn, but when he spoke he made his words count. Shyla was quiet and reserved, but had a well of gumption when needed. This was a pretty good second chance romance, when considering Cade and Shyla’s previous history. For a short story, there was a good connection, a bit of danger and action, and humor. I also liked how Shyla’s OCD tendencies were explained and dealt with fairly. I was sympathetic to her, but never pitied her.

Bewitched before Christmas by Nina Croft—-For a vampire, Lachlan was quite a grump. He had good reasons, but man... and Lola was cute, if a little flaky. This story evolves around Lola, the youngest sister of witches. Humor, action, and good emotion filled things out pretty well. Maybe I would have understood the story better if I’d read previous books in the series.

Shifting Seasons by Sheryl Nantus—-Cassie is having one heck of a Christmas. Rescues an otter the night before and finds a man in her bathtub the next day. Things started out cute and funny, but lagged a bit in the middle. The ending ended on a high note with its resolutions.

The Lone Wolf’s Wish by Lisa Kressler—-I didn’t finish this one and that’s a case of it’s me, not you. I simply wasn’t clicking with the characters.

Even though I know each and every one of these authors' work, I was given an advanced copy of Juliette Cross' short, "Bewitch you and Merry Christmas". My review is solely based on this one short within the Anthology, but you best believe I'll be picking this up to read the others!!!

This is so creative!!!!!!! I mean, hello. You have a group of sisters who are all witches of some sort, a werewolf who has hilarious internal conversations with his inter-wolf and a hex that needs to be broken. Sounds like a perfect concoction to me.

In this short, you can tell that Evie and Mateo have a story to be told (don't worry, I checked and it's slated to be released soon, and you know I'll be grabbing that one too). But that doesn't mean that this story isn't short, sweet and completely adorable. The playful banter between these two is infectious, but the internal conversations Mateo has with his wolf "Alpha" will have you laughing out loud. I mean, think of it this way. Mateo in human form is all gentleman, but Alpha is all....ALPHA and it's AWESOME!!!!!

Even if you don't already love the other authors listed in this Anthology, you HAVE to pick it up just for this. Totally worth every second. You can thank me later. :)

Christmas in Atlantis by Alyssa Day.

I think that this must be part of a bigger series about Atlantis, I haven't read any of them, but this still worked well as a stand-alone. The love story was nice and I liked Dare and Lyric as a couple. It did leave me with a couple of questions about the world, but I suspect that is down to not having read the other books.

Bewitched Before Christmas by Nina Croft

This is a story about a young witch and an old vampire. Lachlan is drawn to Lola and despite trying to avoid her, he soon finds himself in a situation where he can't stay away from her. I enjoyed this one, again I think this might be part of a bigger series. It didn't really matter, although being a novella things did progress quite quickly.

The Lone Wolf's Wish by Lisa Kessler

All wolves need to be part of a pack, but Shane's pack has been killed and now he is looking for revenge. As a teenager, he fell in love with Piper, after she suddenly left he never saw her again but now he meets her again and finds that she is his mate. I like second chance romances and this one is a second chance both for love and for Shane to be part of a pack.

Shifting Seasons by Sheryl Nantus.

I don't think I've read a book with a smaller animal as a shifter before. Alec is an otter shifter and after he is saved by Cassie, he soon falls in love with her. I enjoyed this one, it was quite sweet, I'm not sure that I'll be jumping to read more otter shifter romances, but this was still a good read.

Bewitch You a Merry Christmas by Juliette Cross

This book is in some ways an epilogue to another story. I haven't read that, but I don't think it really matters. Instead, the story deals with a relatively new couple who want nothing more than to spend some time together, but have other things to deal with. I enjoyed this one because it wasn't your usual romance story with misunderstandings and the like, but was a nice little read about two people in love.

The Wolf I Want for Christmas by Abigail Owen

The Wolf I Want for Christmas is the story that I bought the whole collection for. I'm glad that I did because I enjoyed all of them. That said, this one, in particular, was great. This is a fun little read, although there's still plenty of heat and romance. I loved the way that the heroine had a few issues to deal with and the hero didn't try to change her and they weren't magically solved by his arrival. Instead, he didn't love her any less and fitted in with what she needed. A great Christmas read.

Our of this world

An outstanding collection by has of the Paranormal genre. Each reader will find a favorite among the stories. Lisa Kessler has never written a paranormal lead that I have not fallen in love with and visited in my dreams and her contribution to this set is no exception. Hot and sexy, compassionate and brave, Shane is alone until he reconnects with Piper. She is part of his past but he knows she is his late and belongs in his future!

A book of holiday celebrations
This book is the perfect compilation of holiday stories to celebrate Christmas in style.

The Wolf I want for Christmas
Underneath the tree
This story is the perfect Christmas book. I love how the characters were able to reconnect no matter their time apart, and how understanding they were of each other’s needs. This was a short and fast read, but it had all the action, excitement, romance and steam that the author brings to all of her books. Now if only she would write more stories about the other characters. That would be an amazing holiday gift.

Great holiday anthology with bite!

This is one of the rare times I've enjoyed every story in an anthology! Centered around Christmas, each story had something unique to share . from a rescued other shifter, or Atlantis celebrating Christmas for.the first time. A curse where a man is stuck with a Rudolph nose, and a couple of werewolf stories all held my interest. Reading this just before the holidays was perfect timing, too!

The one thing I like about anthologies is that you get a chance to check out authors you might not have picked up otherwise. My favorite stories in this grouping were by Juliette Cross and Abigail Owen (a new to me author). If you get a chance to check these authors out, then do so.

Read as part of Holidaze Reading Spree 2019

In the end the average is about 3.5, so I bumped it up as it gave me a new series to chase down soon.

This was a outstanding paranormal anthology that included a few authors I had never read before. I've added them to my TBR list. Pirates, witches, vampires, and shifters - a great variety.

I had to give this book 5 stars, I loved every story. I originally stared it for Alyssa Day’s Atlantis story but found all of the other stories to be very good. I enjoyed all of the H and h.
