Fun fact about me is I've actually read Invasion of the body squeezers part 2 when I was really young but I've never owned part 1 .I finally got part one as an adult. And for those of you don't know I wasn't big on rereads, but I decided I was going to reread all of the series 2000 books and decided why not start off with one that I just haven't read yet.Another fun fact .I've officially read every series 2000 book ,at least one time, but again I do plan on going back to reread them.Invasion Of The Body Squeezers Part 1 begins with Jack Archer, sitting in the living room with his little sister Billy. Billy loves to copy Jack if he seen something ,she seen two of them or in some cases five of them.We learn from the news that there is this meteor heading towards Earth. the scientists don't really know exactly what it is and there's pieces of this meter flying towards Earth. We also learn that Jack has been spying on his neighbor Mr.Fleshman. Jack claims  he saw some kind of creature inside of Mr.Fleshman's House. So he goes outside to do some more
Spying and runs into some friends that throw a ball at him.His friends all call him Saucerman ,because he's obsessed with aliens and different things like that.He ends up seeing Mr.Fleshman fighting with this creature inside of his house.Of course  Jack tells his parents and they think he's crazy .So Jack decides he needs proof
He ends up sneaking over into the house of Mr.Fleshman while he's gone one day and he finds this photo album full of Mr.Fleshman with these weird creatures that look suspiciously like aliens. He ends up running into this creature but first steals the photo album for his proof. He tries to out run this creature But he runs into weird science labs and ghost heads along the way.He p
Picks something up to hit him with it but the creature just stops. It turns out that Mr.Fleshman is a movie producer and he works on special effects for these movies. The alien was a prop he was practicing with. The photo album is just Mr Fleshman with his props he didn't get to take home. So that's the big mystery of Mr.Fleshman.This happens on page like 50 or so.So we still got 50 more pages of this book and I'll say right up front the beginning of this book was actually really great.Mr. Fletcher and was really creepy I was intrigued on what was going on. The second half of the book is where it kind of loses me. On the way home from Freshman's house.Jack finds a meteorite that actually hits the ground. He pokes at it and eventually picks it up and carries it with him for more proof that aliens are coming. He heads home and he starts hearing the staticky ,chirpy voices telling Jack to do certain things, like saying that he will obey to any command, throwing this clay pot at a window and running out of the room during art class and almost jumping out of a window to go save the meteor when these kids take it from him and accidentally throw it out the window.Jack assumes he hears these voices from the weapon he stole from Mr Fleshman's house that he used to fight off the alien. It looks like a beeper that tells you if you have any missed calls on your house phone. That's basically the second half of the story. Its honestly another mind control story that's been done time and time again.I did enjoy the little twist of what was actually making him do this ,but other than that the second half was just kind of a little boring in my opinion. But I loved the first half. I give Invasion Of The Body Squeezers t part 1 a three out of five stars.

Invasion of the Body Squeezers Part 1 is the story of the tragic breakdown of a 12 year old boy. Jack "Saucerman" Archer is a troubled child who suspects his neighbor of being a monster. His fixation on an unidentified meteor in orbit and fear of a new neighbor combine into a complex paranoid fantasy about an alien invasion. As his hallucinations become more intense, his family abandons him and his friends actively torment him.

Unfortunately, the alien invasion is real. This is the first part of the Goosebumps adaptation of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. This half is the tension building portion of the story. I honestly think it is more interesting and fun than the original. I like Jack more than Miles. He feels more isolated and fearful than Miles every did. I think it is worth a read, as long as you read the second part too.

Half really good, half kinda meh. This story doesn’t do a lot for me when it comes to the alien stuff, which is my favorite thing in Goosebumps. But the book still ain’t that bad but had notable flaws. Let’s start with the great of this book. Mr. Fleshman is probably my favorite creepy neighbor character in all of goosebumps. He’s super likable for being this really funny and chill guy and also having weird secrets and contraptions in his house. I had a lot of fun reading about him here, and Jack, our main character, was pretty good too. Now for a weird little thing I liked, I enjoyed how crazy the story got towards the end; Jack was having a breakdown trying to resolve certain issues, to keep it spoiler free, and it was nice seeing how complex Jack felt. A+ goosebumps writing there! Might I add that this could be a take on schizophrenia, anxiety, or mental illnesses in general which is super neat. At my final upside, the first half of the book had a read nice and fun mystery involving Mr. Fleshman which could’ve been its own short story if you change a certain line at the end of the first half of the book (it’s split up into to sections in a way). Very good—but the book has faults. The biggest issue is how annoying some characters can get. The little shit sister, the “friends” that are actually straight up bullies, the parents at times, and there’s probably more that I’m forgetting. They all have this in common: fucking annoying ahh bitches. Moving on from the constant bullying and annoyance issues, the book doesn’t necessarily lack a plot, but it lacks much of anything. It doesn’t bother me that much but it’s noticeable that Stine is just trying to find a way to get to the sequel book where, well, alien shenanigans finally go down I presume since it didn’t really happen here. Overall, the book gets an 8/10. A low eight out of ten sadly but I will admit I did enjoy this more from my original read nearly 5 years ago. Anywho, Jack likes staring at girls legs!! So cool!!

Tipico genitore boomer insomma.

It's not a conspiracy if they're really out to get you! Jack is ridiculed at school for his unfortunate habit of seeing flying saucers and monsters when there are rational explanations. But now a literal space object is orbiting Earth and not even NASA scientists can explain what it is. Is an alien invasion officially happening?!

Lately, he's been keeping a close eye on his new neighbor, the mysterious Mr. Fleshman. There are monsters in Mr. Fleshman's home. Jack's seen them through the window. Yet nobody believes him! How is he going to save all of humanity when nobody takes kids seriously??

Invasion of the Body Squeezers is a rare two-part special among the many Goosebumps series. (Maybe the only two-parter?) This means the action moves at a slower pace and anticipation is thick. Book One is all about the figuring out which mysterious thing in Jack's life is really suspect, and which is the result of his overactive imagination.

Personally, I'm obsessed. I love the impending zoom of the orbiting space object, the characters who foil Jack's efforts to be taken seriously, and the many plot reversals that leave me feeling uncertain about everything. The slower pace allows the world to build more than typical in a Goosebumps novel, and the characters too have time to fully develop their personalities.

As a kid I probably didn't love the build-up and would have preferred monsters on page one. As an adult, though, I love lingering in this story. All will be determined in the second half, however. If Stine drops the ball then I may reflect back on this book with a more negative opinion. For the moment, though, I'm desperate to find out what happens next!

NOTE: Fred Berman's performance on the audiobook is top-tier. Unquestionably his reading helped improve my experience.

This was a fun read. A lot of people are saying it's repetitive but I think that's why it was split into two parts. We have to see Jack's downfall to really understand the fear behind what is happening to him. Readers see the MC Jack struggling to cope with these voices he keeps hearing and he's just trying to warn everyone what lies ahead. With this meteor shower happening he truly believes other creatures are coming to Earth. Is it all in his head or is it real? At then end of this book we are left on a cliffhanger as anticipated since this is part one.

Jack and his sister Billie are always fighting. Billie thinks everything is a competition. She has to one up her brother every chance she gets. Meanwhile, there is a new neighbor next door who gives Jack the creeps. Mr. Fleshman isn't very approachable and always dresses in black and Jack swears he has seen creatures inside of his house! What is this guy hiding?? Turns out he is a horror special effects guy and creates these creatures. Shortly after finding this out, Jack begins hearing voices and he thinks it's related to the beeper he accidentally took from Mr. Fleshman. However, whenever he goes to return it the voices never stop. What the heck is happening to him and how can he prove to everyone that he isn't going crazy??

Looking forward to reading part two next!

I was excited going into this one, for the fact that it's sci-fi horror (which Stine hasn't done much of in Goosebumps) and that it is a 2 part series. I was thinking that *maybe* it would feel a bit more epic than your standard Goosebumps book.
It was okay starting out, it had my interest, but it started to get repetitive after a while, with Jack, our protagonist, going around and endlessly trying to convince his friends and family that an alien invasion is on the way, and of course, no one believes him.
Jack isn't the brightest G.B. character. Not that R.L. Stine is known for creating smart, in-depth characters to begin with, but Jack is especially dumb. A lot of the book is him going around trying to warn everyone about the incoming alien invasion, expecting people to believe him, and acts all shocked and surprised when no one does.
*Sigh*
I really wanted to like this book, my interest in it started to wane. Thankfully, it left with a cliffhanger so I just HAD to read part 2. (Not that I wouldn't have, anyway, lol)

I give this one a 2.25 / 5 stars

Fatoni Maraton Goosebumps Series 2000

I remember seeing the covers for Goosebumps Series 2000 books everywhere growing up but I don't think I ever read any of them. Once I found there was an audio book version of this, I figured here is my opportunity! I think the narrator did a phenomenal job of conveying the creepiness of the neighbor next door and the suspense of this story. This first part did keep me on the edge of my seat and had a pretty cool cliff hanger leading us to Part 2!

I went into this thinking I would like it because of The Haunted Car being amazing (the first Goosebumps SY2K book I read). No. Just no. I was wrong. I mean, I like the idea of aliens invading, but… it was the parents, the sister and the main character’s stupidity that made me not like this one. Hope part 2 is better.

Serviceable first half of a story. I don't have the second half to hand, so I'll have to look out for it in the future.

Lots of goosebumps tropes in here, such as everyone thinking you're crazy and the annoying little sister.

The first two part Goosebumps story doesn't justify its length. I really felt like this could have been a standard Goosebumps book and the cliffhanger gimmick didn't work for me, but we'll see how part 2 is.

The completely unnecessary first part of a really bad story that could have been told in half a book, and probably shouldn't have been told at all.

This was horrendous. Messily paced and with the main character acting so insanely deluded the entire time (with a history of such behaviour) that it's no wonder he's never believed. The fact that his parents seem to barely own two brain cells to rub together and his younger sister is a distracting waste of space added nothing to the tension but everything to the aggravation of reading this book.
Upon the conclusion of the book, which ended with a "To Be Concluded..." tag line, no invasion had happened, nothing was revealed about what body squeezers are and the tension is so non-existent I don't even care to seek out Part 2.

This book is something of an anomaly, because whilst it sits under R. L. Stine’s Goosebumps series, it doesn’t really work as a standalone. For most of his books, even the ones that are part of a larger series, they work as just a single story. In this one, though, when you get to the end you’re greeted by the words ‘To be continued’, and it really feels as though it’s just half of a book – why not just publish the two books as one?

Either way, it was alright – not the best, though.

I loved it.

Even though the story's kind of weird and eveb the illustration of the cover is just gross, I liked it. Typical R. L. Stine, the storyline is simple yet very fun to read. But I think if people who read it is children or at least still on elementary school, they'll freaking out.

So yeah, I enjoyed it.

this book took me awhile to get through. Just didn't catch my attention and I think it is because there is a part 2. You can read the final chapter of this one and continue reading part 2 and you wont miss a beat.
