Çıktığı gün radarıma takılan, konusu çok ilgimi çeken bir kitaptı. Şehirden çok uzakta ama oldukça lüks ve yeşil enerji temalı, 7 evden oluşan bir kasaba inşa ediliyor. Burada yaşayan insanlar, kasabanın yakınındaki yanardağ patlaması sonucu aç kalıp dağdan inen Kocaayak sürüsüne karşı hayatta kalma mücadelesi veriyor. Filmi olsa keyifle izlenir.
Kitap genel olarak beklentimi karşıladı diyebilirim. Gerilimin yavaş yavaş yükselmesi, önce karamsar ve ruh daraltıcı mahsur kalma hissinin verilmesi, sonda da vahşetin doruğa ulaşması çok güzeldi. Ellerinden hiçbir iş gelmeyen şehirli insanların, vahşi birer hayatta kalma uzmanına dönüşmesini ve içlerindeki hayatta kalma içgüdüsünün ortaya çıkmasını okumak harikaydı.
Kate ve Mostar favorim oldular. Onlar dışındaki kasaba sakinlerinin hikaye boyunca biraz sönük kaldığını düşünüyorum. Puanı da bu yüzden kırdım. Daha enteresan karakterler olsun isterdim.

okuduğum EN SIKICI kitaplardan birisi. Kitabın ilk yarısında hiçbir olay yok,boş bir günlük. Ben bunu korku romanı diye okudum,karşıma salak bir günlük çıktı. Son 30 sayfayı toparlayabilmek için kanlı ögeler kullanmış ama berbat.
One of THE MOST BORİNG books ı've ever read. First half of the book is pure boredom. ı thought this was supposed to be an horror book,instead its a stupid diary. There's gory stuff in the last 30 pages,thats it. horrible.
