Well that was not what I was expecting... There's a cheerleader squad story that I'm searching for, and I thought I found it, but apparently not.

Anyway, I'm glad I happened on this one, because it was great and tragic and well worth the reading. Also, it won't take you long, so go read it now. Go, I say.

Even more genre-mashing than Fiber, and farther toward the "dark" side of the "darkly comic" spectrum. This is a different Fighting Pumpkins squad, and it's got a hell of a more depressing ending. But still interesting.

Scary and touching and kind of kickass. I find that Seanan's short stories are a lot grimmer than her long form fiction.
