Rukmini is a food stylist and food writer, who enjoys recipe developing and styling for editorial, advertising and commercial clients. Her cookbooks include 'The Roasting Tin' and 'The Green Roasting Tin', and her next cookbook 'The Quick Roasting Tin' is out with Square Peg in June 2019.
Rukmini left the law to retrain as a chef, working for Tom Kitchin at 'The Kitchin' in Edinburgh before moving to London to do what she loves best - food styling, recipe writing and development. Her first two cookbooks, with Parragon and Quadrille, are due out early in 2016. When she's not styling and writing, Rukmini enjoys planning for an extensive organic kitchen garden from the confines of her London balcony, complete with chickens.
First of all I read the mass market paperback edition although that edition is not listed on goodreads. Secondly I’m glad I checked it out of the library instead of buying it because it’s useless. Way too many ingredients that are not available in regular grocery stores.
Loved loved loved this! Want to make everything! Already planning what I can make today. Easy, few ingredients, but everything sounds delicious…. Our big green egg is going to get a work out….
Really excellent vegetarian bbq cookbook; I had taken every vegetarian bbq book the libraries in CA have, but honestly, they all sucked. This book is actually great and I want to make a lot of the recipes. Purchasing this cookbook. Yum!
So often vegan/vegetarian cookbooks are full of recipes calling for ingredients not found in the average kitchen. This one has some unique recipes, but all use easily sourced ingredients.
Good vegetarian and vegan recipes, but I can't say I was intrigued by too many of them. If you are starting out with this kind of cooking it may be more what you are looking for.
I enjoyed this book as I usually enjoy cookbooks. Some good ideas and combos. Plus some great presentations and pictures. Will look at more of her books and sites.
