The Vampire the Masquerade Clan Novel Saga is a thirteen-volume masterpiece, presenting the war between the established Camarilla leadership and the growing power of the brutal Sabbat on the East Coast of the United States. Each novel is told from the perspective of one of the thirteen clans, intertwining with the others, and filling in missing pieces artfully as we follow battle after battle, intrigue after intrigue—and the appearance of a strange artifact that falls into the hands of a solitary Toreador sculptor.
Clan Novel Giovanni is the tenth novel in the series.
Benito Giovanni has vanished.
Enter Chas Giovanni Tello, Mob strong-arm and part of the New World Giovanni. Chas finds himself ordered to Las Vegas where he meets the Old World scion of the necromancers' clan, Isabel, who shares his interest in locating the missing Benito.
Soon, though, the mismatched pair find themselves embroiled in affairs beyond both of their reckoning. The search for Benito must take a back seat to the impending clash between sects in Boston. Thereafter, an even greater threat looms–one that surfaces from the family's treacherous past and threatens the very existence of Clan Giovanni.
This series is a monumental, 13-novel exploration of the forbidden world of the Kindred. What began in Clan Novel: Toreador continues here, and its ending will determine the fate of every human–and inhuman–being in the world.
I really enjoyed this one! Sure one of my top 3 so far! J. Achilli's writing is smooth and fun. The plot was interesting, with strong Giovanni vibes and many many dark scenes with Tzimisce and more. I kind of wish there were more pages in this one...
Hooray! Some delicious Vampire Slop... and what is this? Gangster Slop mixed in? It is like a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup!
This entry in this series actually does the assignment given to the gimmick of this thirteen part series. This should not be noteworthy--but like only about a third of the books in this series actually manages to do that
This book does a very decent job at giving people a taste of what a Giovanni Centric campaign in World of Darkness. It is definitely a very interesting and fun idea for doing stuff with Vampires and Gangsters
The only issue is that the story this entry takes place in, has to play nicely with a bunch of other stuff in this mini-series. If the Giovanni Clan were to be able to be given their own trilogy of vampire books, I'd definitely be down to get really into reading that
One of the better entries in this series, definitely... but the bar could be a bit higher on that
One of the stronger entries in the clan series. We got to see a good variety of Giovanni in this book. The focus on Chas and Isabel was effective.
The book left more questions than answers, if these aren't answered in the following books then I'll be wishing there was another Giovanni entry.
Bit confused about the Nos capturing Benito and Leopold killing him. That's all rather odd. Odd than Amborgino was communicating with the Methuselah. Definitely need answers for these

While the Ventrue clan novel was like the political side of different crime stories, this book steers into the skid of being a crime novel by focusing on the crime side of things. If you like things like The Godfather or the crime films of Martin Scorsese, this is like those but with vampires.
While this book certainly sets the tone for the Clan, it doesn't hold up so well in the modern era. Well written, sure, but graphic as heck, and lots of times is just shock value for shock value's sake.
Probably, the best of the Clan Novels. Also the darkest. And one that doesn't require [almost] any prior knowledge of World of Darkness lore or previous Clan Novels. If someone would ask me which of the Clan Novels is worth reading, I'd suggest this one.
Easily the worst in the series so far, and for the most part I haven't been all that impressed with the series. I understand that vampires are not generally boy scouts, and the Giovanni, being, as they are, involved in organized crime, are perhaps worse than most. But even so, for a novel to retain the reader's interest, it has to have SOME character that resonated with the reader at least a LITTLE bit, a character that, if the reader doesn't actually approve of them or respect them, they at least care about them ever so slightly. This book fails miserably in that regard; there are NO characters who the reader can really find the least bit interesting. Which is in a way a good thing, given that almost all of the characters die during the course of the book. What's more, the plot to this book seemed to have only a minimal connection to the plot of the series as a whole; I don't feel as if it advanced that plot an iota.
All in all, an almost total waste of time.

This might be one of my favorites of the Clan Novels so far. It really does a great job showing what immortality can do to a person, how they have to loose that ability to love or how the Beast affects them. It was dark and grim, and of the clans I knew the least about the Giovanni so it was really interesting. They're by far the most interesting of the clans I've read about so far. I'd like to see more of them and their political structure.
This is a fantastic series if you are a fan or player of the Vampire the Masquerade Table Top game. I gave it a 3 because I don't recomend this series to those who are not.
