My 11 year old son loved reading this adventure. As a reluctant reader, he was engrossed throughout the book. He is looking forward to reading more in the series.

This is my favorite fiction book series I own the whole series and have read the whole series about 6 times and I will probably read the whole series another 15! So I highly recommend this book. Where Runt the villager gets sent on an quest to obtain an aeon forge, meets a human named Eto, goes to a dungeon where he finds Pebble who tried to blow him up in book 4 and beats the villager noob Urf.

Okay, I would be giving this book a higher rating, but I think this one is the reason I sort of stopped reading the series as a kid. As much as I love it, the magic added in near the end of this one really gets to me... It's darker, and I don't appreciate that. The story was good as always, and I enjoyed seeing Breeze and Runt going out on an adventure! But the magical element was dissapointing... I may continue and finish the series, but we'll see.

I am a firm believer in anything that my son will read being good for him to read, but the 8-Bit Warrior series is one that I am happy he has enjoyed to date, because they are a fun read for mom as well. I've enjoyed the series and this was no exception. Fun story with a bunch of tie ins with the Minecraft game.

The thing that I am always challenged by with a son who resists reading is finding something that he enjoys, whether it's at his grade level or not. There just aren't a lot of boy-focused books and so if a video game tie in that is a bit young for him is what gets him reading, then so be it.

I will say that it is disappointing that there are not more books for boys in any age group above early readers. There are some, but for someone not interested in fantasy and mystery, the selection is limited. Video game tie ins seem to be the best we can come up with.

All that to say, my son liked the book and enjoys the series. And I've found them enjoyable too. They help me to understand what he is doing when he plays, although I still end up digging myself into a hole, literally, when I play with him.

Quest Mode ACTIVATED

Runt has now left his home village. And every step takes him farther than he's ever been from home.

Let's just say, no amount of training and school lessons were going to prepare Runt for his first adventure in the Overworld.

What are you supposed to do when the only animals you encounter are zombified chickens? How do you barter with skilled librarians? And why does this mysterious guy with a funny beard keep showing up?

Runt's first adventure is very exciting and you get to see the explosion of Cube Kid's RPG style turned Minecraft. Abilities, a magic system, more races, new weapons, epic quests and the fabled Advanced Crafting Table along with a bunch of other cool new things are brought into this book.

Better watch out Runt, it's a big world out there.

THIS BOOK WAS EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS BOOK WAS EPIC BECAUSE MINECRAFT IS EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (well... squadd io is still better) This book was about RUNT going on an adventure outside of his village gates. He has to go on a quest. A quest is something that a npc gives you. He tells you to get something and if you get it, the npc gives you emeralds. RUNT goes on that quest because he needs those emeralds to buy an advanced crafting table. OVERALL THIS BOOK WAS E P I C !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unique illustrations and points of view, “Diary of an a 8-bit warrior” is an amazing book and can make you happy everywhere. Erik Gunnar Taylor is one of my favorite authors with such a unique idea to be a game character coming to life.

Review:

This book is about a character who lives in a game world and learns of his village facing imminent destruction and must stop it at all costs.

This book belongs to a series currently have 5 books and another series connected I would suggest reading both because they both explain a lot (predictions there's a new book soon to come out because the end of the fifth book could not end like that it just couldn't!no spoilers remember.)
This book is 248 pages long so i would suggest a middle age read I personally wouldn't classify it as a challenging read but i'm assuming some people aren't at my reading level so maybe a age 6-7+ years book.

What you should know is the author wrote about a game so you might hear words you wouldn’t understand or places you've never heard of.

The fifth installment of Cube Kid’s epic unofficial Minecraft fantasy, takes our hero, Runt, outside of Villagetown. Cube Kid uses this to add races, magic, and more to Minecraft while mostly staying true to the feel. This one adds dungeons and quests and manages to capture the feel of Diablo-style games enough that I found myself wanting to buy Minecraft: Dungeons or fire up Diablo 2 again. He continues to layer in the mysteries, and to deepen the relationship between Breeze and Runt (which remains quite an excellent slow-burn, kid friendly romance/friendship). And there are more interesting theories about whether the setting is a game or a parallel universe and what that means for the characters. I continue to be pleasantly surprised by how much I am enjoying these.

This books Minecraft theme and historical fiction sort of genre got me to immediately love it as soon as I started to read it. Ok so firstly a quick summary a villager called runt lives in a village called villagetown. His sidekick breeze and him go on a quest to get this item called glow moss, from a dungeon and the reward once he and breeze got the glowmoss was 750 emeralds which would help him and breeze buy an aeon forge (advanced crafting table) and run into friends and foes along the way in this historical fiction story. That storyline is one of the best I have read, completely fantastic read, I highly recommend it to anyone who likes reading historical fiction and loves Minecraft. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟

I think Diary of an 8-Bit Warrior, Quest Mode is a very good book because it's interesting. I coudn't put it down (literally I sat down and finished it all in one go). This book is about Runt going out of his village to get an advanced crafting table and then he has to go on a crazy adventure to get emeralds to buy the advanced crafting table. He had to face a boss mob and beat Urff!!! Overall 4/5 because there a few mispellings.
