About the author

Roman Dirge (born on April 29, 1972) is an artist and magician, and the creator of the Lenore comic-book series; he currently lives in Los Angeles, California.

Told by his art teachers that he would never make it as an artist due to his crude style, he quit art and became a full-time magician. After a few years, his passion for art overtook him and he created the comic about Lenore, the Cute Little Dead Girl for Xenophobe magazine. The comic strips were later seen by Dan Vado, president of Slave Labor

This is the fourth volume and finds Lenore as funny as ever, although this time we get to see another side to her and find out how she came to be up and walking when she should really be six feet down. We also see a different side to Ragamuffin and come across a Cupcake Castle after fighting a hoard of Nazi zombie soldiers sent to take Lenore back to Heck. The more I read of the collection the more I'm enjoying it and the more I love each of the characters and Roman's quirky sense of humour and somewhat unfortunate tales of his youth, in some case I feel his pain. This is a superb series that will have you going back again and again until you know every word and illustration by heart (although I bet even that won't stop you).

Lenore is always awesome! I love Mr Gosh. I laughed out loud when the embalmer came after her and her balloon hat burst! Her buggy hat!!!!

The surprise is gone and you see some jokes coming along from a mile away, but still jolly good fun!!!

Not as funny as "Cooties" but still enjoyable.

4 Estrellas ☆☆☆☆
Recomendado.

creepy and not in a fun way

Very funny.

These are fun! Graphic novels are not really something that I find truly exciting, but these are great for fall, so it definitely got me excited for the season.

RAGAMUFFIN MY BELOVED

[NOELIA]

When I heard of Lenore's paper resurrection, I was over the moon. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this deliciously undead collection of the weird. Despite there being a bit of a gap between books, it almost feels like Lenore never left us. I can only hope that Dirge is still doing this book on his deathbed, so Lenore can live as long as she can. This book is wild, weird, and laugh out loud (literally and not the dumb LOL internet speak that don't mean nothin') funny. I highly recommend you pick up this and return to Lenore's world of crazy.

I loved Lenore when I was a teenager. She was my first foray into comic books (along with JTHM and Squee). The early comics (and the content of the first two collections) were so dark and absurd, with occasional light relief. Reading this 15 years after that first revelatory purchase was disappointing. It felt like a fun comic full of goofy characters, with hardly any substance. Maybe I should just go and read my old copies.

I always feel pretty evil when I laugh at Lenore's antics. Still, this is a story I can just not resist. We get a bit of her origin story in this volume, as well as many inappropriate but awesome adventures. This cute little dead girl is one of my favorites.

Something has happened to Dirge. There is an obvious need to keep going with Lenore but the plot has been lost ages ago and the funny has been thrown out with a cumbled up idea. I found hardly any of it funny but I still enjoy the very clear and well drawn graphics. Art work: You get a star!

Hilarious, laugh-out-loud ooh should I really be laughing at this stuff. Long "live" Lenore!

[Roseann]

Another winner. Lenore, I never get tired of your charm and your zany exploits. Roman, you are a quirky, creative genius.

[Kayla]

I just freakin' love Lenore.

[Alice Rachel]

Cute...cute, cute, cute. Fantastic illustrations.

[Melanie Page]

Definitely more story driven in each issue contained in this book, but I like the forward motion of the previous book better.

My favorite cute little dead girl!
