Update May 2013: The cover's actually good, though I have to admit, some of the fan made covers were gorgeous. I'm not too sure about the water symbol. I was hoping they had all 5 symbols and had them crashing together to create a new symbol. Y'know new world, new symbol??

Update Apr 2013: Allegiant?? Really? I can't say that I like being wrong but still looking forward to how things end.

When I first saw the cover, I have to admit, I was pretty dissapointed. I mean, no Faction reference? Just waves? It looked kind of bland.

But as I took another glance...

Look at this wonder that is Allegiant's UK cover.
Birds are my favourite animals, the feathers on this are a detail I love. Blue is my favourite colour, this exact shade too. This is perfect.

PS- My guesses for the title as of May 2012 were: Assurgent or Resurgent...I kind of still like Assurgent than Allegiant just because it feels like it fits better with the previous titles >.<

This title makes me nervous, who's being allegiant to who? Can't wait for this, I'm so hoping its better than Insurgent!

The gorgeousness of that cover! I'm glad they didn't go with an eye. It would've looked really weird and creepy, I think.

Oh My Goodness.

This will be amazing. I can just feel it. I don't think Ms Roth will disappoint her readers for having a disgusting ending on her trilogy. I can just tell it'll be amazing.

I wonder if this is going to be entitled Convergent. It's the complete opposite of Divergent and it somewhat feels right for the final book. Or maybe Emergent, the result of whatever will happen in the second book.

Pretty cover. It's kind of funny how everyone was saying, jokingly, that the title would be 'Detergent' and making fan covers for it, and now that the real cover is out, all I can think about with that water symbol is the motion of water in a washer and dryer.

Anyone else see that?

WOW! I knew it was going to be some symbol we have never seen because no one thought it was going to be Allegiant either. Everyone thought it was going to be Convergent.
Looking at the bottom of the cover, I love that it shows what looks like a factory.
My biggest question from insurgent obviously was WHAT THE HECK IS OUTSIDE OF THE FENCE! They are literally in their own little bubble and I am dying to know what it is really like in the real world. So maybe the factory is a hint.....more

There's this post on Veronica Roth's blog, where she says that she would have preferred it if Harry had died in the last HP book, because it would have been "by far the most powerful moment of the entire series. And beyond that, an incredible act of heroism."

...This scares me. A lot.

Emergent, which doesn't fit the -vergent or -surgent theme and is different.

...And that's all I got.

Observations:
1) If the 'prior-to-cover-reveal-poster/cover' looks this amazing already, what does it say about the cover? It means that it's going to be the best thing since the invention of the cell phone.

2) Detergent is a great name. I'm kind of sad to see it go. (Even when the real title is revealed, I might have trouble from keeping myself from calling it Detergent. Yes. I have waited for it for so long that I have actually added 'detergent' to my everyday vocabulary. If my friends wo...more

I heard Veronica Roth joking about the title of the third book in the Divergent trilogy. Maybe she could write her own parody on her books and title it that title, which is...drum roll...Detergent. "One Choice Can Disinfect You."
