Ik wist van tevoren al dat dit boek een “crash course” in astrofysica, economie, rechten en sociologie word genoemd, maar dat het zo letterlijk was had ik niet verwacht. Vanaf de eerste zin staat het boek stervensvol met jargon en ik merkte dat ik mezelf er niet toe kon zetten alles te proberen te begrijpen. Ik heb het wel uitgelezen, aan het einde wat dingen overgeslagen, maar zou het niet snel nog een keer doen.
Je kan wel zien dat Charles Stross weet waar hij over praat, dat is wel gaaf. Het verhaal kende spannende momenten maar de helft snapte ik dus niet.
Liefs, nu weer een normaler boek!!

Bij tijd en wijle slecht geschreven, maar de gepresenteerde ideeën zijn zeer indrukwekkend.

Over AI die mensen voorbij streeft. Stross is leuk, lang niks meer van gelezen. Ook erg hip onder de techbro's schijnbaar.
