About the author

Diana Jean Gabaldon Watkins grew up in Flagstaff, Arizona and is of Hispanic and English descent (with a dash of Native American and Sephardic Jew). She has earned three degrees: a B.S. in Zoology, a M.S. in Marine Biology, and a Ph.D in Ecology, plus an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Glasgow, for services to Scottish Literature.

She currently lives in Scottsdale, Arizona .

خیلی اقتباس سریال توی فصل اول از این کتاب خوب بود و واقعا دوستش داشتم. ولی کتاب رو اصلا نمی تونم به اندازه ی سریال دوست داشته باشم. چه بسا که کلی هم باهاش حرص خوردم. ایده ی سفر در زمانه و اون فضای اسکاتلندیو تاریخیش عالیه. ولی متاسفانه همه چیز با شروع این قضیه ی عشقو عاشقی کلر و جیمی کمرنگ میشه، و من اصلا حوصله ی این همه مدحو ستایش در وصف جیمی رو ندارم. انگار یه کتاب اروتیک فوق العاده بورینگ دارم می خونم. بعد از سه سال دیگه واقعا فکر نمی کنم بتونم این کتاب رو تموم کنم و خیلی هم بابت این موضوع متاسفم، چون بدجوری دلم میخواست این مجموعه رو دوست داشته باشم.

پتانسیل زیاد ولی اصرار نویسنده به تصویر کشیدن این حجم از سکس،تجاوز و... به کررات با جزئیات بین2-3 شخصیت ثابت خیلی راحت(حداقل برای من) نتیجه عکس داشت.

ایده خیلی خوب بود ولی نویسندگی متوسط بود و از یک جایی به بعد فقط داشت داستان رو کش میداد(تو جلد های بعدی) خیلی خوشم نیومد.
