Into the den of the enemy

It is pretty cool to see how the training that Mamoru and Haruka went through is starting to pan out as they take on a dangerous den of baddies with an assortment of deadly accruements. Certainly having along the Yakuza member, Senji Tamagawa is not a bad thing either and though he is limited in what he can do it is clear his honor is as deep as his potential to break the tension from an already dark theme. Of course the story is not just about overcoming the Wiseman's gambit as we see the Element Network handling other problems so having a sort of gag character is a refreshing break now and there.

In addition we see more of certain characters introduced in the series playing their parts and it seems there is a crossover with a characters named Jesus and Aegis who will be bringing some additional monstrous strength as the story continues to evolve. After all with Haruka's influence to not murder anyone it is only a matter of time if a man trained to kill will be able to hold back in the end.

This was not my favorite volume (too much fighting), but I'll still give it a 5.

I really...really...really want a Mamoru for myself. And now I have to track down YAMI NO AEGIS and JESUS...neither of which has been domestically released I don't think. Damnation...

That cover. Anyway, this was a little tense. Well most of the volumes in the series so far are well, tense. Liking the story arcs so far.
