He reached the rank of Sergeant-Major before retiring to Devon to write full-time, and his work was first published in 1970. The vampire series, 'Necroscope', has been translated into ten languages and sold over a million copies worldwide.

March 31, 2019Tři z vampýřích pánů, ohrožovaných na Sluneční/Hvězdné straně neustálými partyzánskými útoky Nathana a jeho věrných, se rozhodnou zkusit štěstí na Zemi. Použijí přirozenou bránu a vynoří se na hranici Rumunska, Bulharska a bývalé Jugoslávie, v útulku pro traumatizované sirotky. Poté, co zmasakrují personál a chovance útulku, se rozptýlí po světě s jediným cílem: ovládnout Zemi a zotročit si lidstvo. Pobočka E o vampýří invazi ví: při masakru v Rumunském útulku zahyne i Zek Föenerová, avšak ještě předtím stačí telepaticky varovat svého kolegu a milence Bena Traska. Nový hon na upíry začíná. Mezitím si v Möbiovu kontinuu ozvěna někdejšího Harryho Keogha, reziduální vzpomínka nebo snad duch, začne uvědomovat šarlatová životní vlákna křížící modrá vlákna lidí. Jelikož už nemá tělo, musí si najít někoho, s kým by se spojil. Ale tentokrát si nevybere příliš dobře...
