A great little history on soda and soda fountains in general. The writing wavers between dry and quite humerus, but I enjoyed it overall. The entire second half of the book is recipes, which is wonderful, but as all require at the very least a home soda spigot, can feel a bit pointless if you're not planning on investing in a while setup.

The history is good but the recipes are just presented in a big pile. It needs more of a drink taxonomy like IMBIBE! has.

interesting- a little too light on some subjects but a really fun little intro.

Fun history! Nothing as refreshing as a booze and cocaine-laced radioactive soda! The evolution of soda fountains from pharmacists' sidelines to Prohibition alternative to modern soda pop.

If you like books that tell the history of the things that make life wonderful, like sodas, then you'll love this one.
