What better way to get into the Christmas-groove than reading this gorgeous book and making a list of all the nice&naughty recipes you are going to indulge your family and yourself.
I’m now getting into the Christmas spirit thanks to Mary. There will definitely be some of these dishes on our Christmas table, I’m now off to make my mincemeat.
I already have the hardback of this book and it's one of my favourite cookery books and I had to get the kindle copy as well. I've made quite a few of the recipes in this book and they've all been a hit. There's a reason it says on the cover "In Mary We Trust" - I can honestly say hand on heart I've never had a failure with ANY Mary Berry recipe I've tried and I don't think I can say that about many other cookery books! Fabulous.
Everything you have ever wanted to cook for Christmas
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It covers everything from appetizers to desserts. A few words of caution. You absolutely need a scale to use the recipes in this book as well as a metric measuring cup for liquids. The recipes are thorough and accessible for the experienced home cook.
I don't often read a cookbook cover to cover but this one I did. Full of practical recipes and advice to make yummy Christmas food, that isn't so out there that you have to go and shoot your own pheasant and stuff it with froie gras and Himalayan walnuts! Great recipes - all of which I believe I could attempt and have a successful result. Thank you Mary.
While the recipes here aren't necessarily what I want to make on Christmas, there are some great recipes that I might use on other special occasions. There are also lots of great tips for entertaining.
Lovely ideas for holiday meals. Some old favourites, some new. Even in July's heat, I enjoyed reading through the entire book. Can't wait for cooler weather to start trying them.
Lovely glossy cookbook, with plenty of full colour photos. Some great recipes. I am looking forward to trying the roast goose recipe.......if I can ever find a goose.
Can't go far wrong with Mary Berry. She's one of the great trusted chefs for me.
