This book was originally published as The Mammoth Book of Thrillers, Ghosts and Mysteries, which is a much more accurate description (the tales in here are not all of the Supernatural).

While this doesn't (or at least, shouldn't) affect the quality of the work it is the kind of thing that I find irritating. For example: these books can take a while to finish; even though the stories are short there are a good few of them. So, if it says Supernatural on the cover, it had better give me Supernatural.

Nevertheless, pointless gripe aside, the collection is actually fairly strong (it was originally published in the 1930s, so you already know that most of the work in here is probably public domain by now). It's a good introduction to some of the authors who were writing around the turn of the century (20th that is).
