Cat doesn't live in a normal town. With the coed soccer team not being cooperative, the coaches decide that they will learn how to ballroom dance to improve their cooperation skills. Since they're learning how to ballroom dance they decide that they will have a Valentines Day Dance. A new girl comes into town and lives with her out in the strangest house in the whole town. A house beside a cemetery, and the mysterious grim hill. When the love charms the girls gave to the guys didn't turn out the way they want it to be, the guys turned into zombies. Cat soon realizes that the town was being in great danger and that she needs to find a way to save the town.

I picked this book because I found a project I did of Linda DeMeulemeester who is the author of the grim hill series. So it got me wondering if she had any more books published and she did. I borrowed the third book at the public library and hoped it would be just as good as the first and second book was.

I finished this book because I wanted to read on to see who was the person that was putting the town in danger and to see what cat would do to save the town. Another reason why I finished the book was because I wanted to see what kind of myth this book was talking about. I was glad I finished the book because I related the ending with a movie I watched.

I would recommend this book to people who believe in mysterious legends and myths because this book can relate to them. I would also recommend this book to the people who had read the first and/or second book of grim hill series because the third book is just as good.

A well-paced read with enough suspense that it kept me reading ... in one sitting! This is the first Grim Hill book I've read, and I didn't feel "left behind," which can happen when you jump into a series at book 3. Cat, Sookie, Jasper, and Lea are well-developed characters with relationships that (sans magic) are realistic. I also enjoyed the fairy and Celtic lore.

Relatable characters, events, and preteen romance will instantly pull readers into the halls of Darkmont High in this fantasy adventure / mystery.

A great addition to the Grim Hill series. I enjoyed the character relationships very much and by far this is the most scariest one of them all. I especially liked Clive and Cat. The old 'hate/love' crush is common but true. We all know that feeling. When the boy bothers us just to get our attention because if we can't be friends, at least get her to notice you. But at the end when he insults her I felt like throwing the book done. Good thing I didn't though since if you like this series and wish for it to be continued, there is a fourth book coming out soon! Great book for all kids in middle school.

Cat is back, and this time her trial isn't a soccer game, not even a soccer name with boys. It's worse. It's a Valentine's Day dance. In book 3 of this series, Linda Demeulemeester's settled into her rhythm of plot revelations. You know who's bad early on, and so does Cat, the difficulty is figuring out what they are, how they work, and what they want. The answers are, as always, in Celtic myth.

The ending this time around, though, is a poignant coming of age story that has me eager to follow Cat into books 4 and 5, as soon as I'm able to get copies, that is!

This was a good book! Some parts such as when Cat goes to the garden to get the herbs and when she and Jasper are fighting the banshee scared me a lot! Although it starts off at a slow pace the book ends with some new twists. Cat begins to mature in this installment and shows undeniably good taste in fashion (; The romantic aspect of it is really cute and leaves me wanting more <3

I read this book back in elementary school. It made me fall back in love with reading. It's a very mysterious and intriguing story. Thus, I was left on the edge of my seat, wondering what was going to happen next.
