I finally finished this anthology about the Templars. I enjoy stories about knights, especially when the individual tales are presented in a way that moves them into the historical related category.

Reflecting, I've known a few modern-day knights, and although the post nowadays is mostly ceremonial, the true honor, charity, and deep religious feeling is there.

I saw that religious touch deeper in these stories about the fabled Templars, with faith that echoes through the ages.

The pure heart sang through most of the stories, which were written by some highly acclaimed people. There was only one which I felt was a little slow to engage, "Selling the Devil", mainly since it began more like a cheesy detective story from the 1950s. Even that was mostly recovered, though, returning to an ending that was well done, if still a bit cheesy.

This is a good selection for a short down time or just to calm the mind before bed.

Not a bad compilation of short stories, especially since the main subject matter was the Knights Templar. The famous knights have always been a fascination of mine, and these shorties were worth the read, some more than others...when you read it, you'll see what I mean.

This is a somewhat uneven collection of stories, from the highly entertaining and moving to the too-plodding-to-finish.

Recommended to those who like spirituality mixed with their fantasy.
