This was the first book I've read by this author, and I wasn't sure how I would feel reading a series written by different authors. I shouldn't have doubted it though as its worked out great. I loved this book as much as the first and am really looking forward to the next one.

One of the best books I have ever read!

I was afraid I wouldn’t love a new series by this author as much as I love the Mitzy Moon Mysteries. I needn’t have worried. I was immediately pulled into this story, what a great start! And it got even better. This new series might even top Mitzy and I never would have thought that could happen! Wow!

The main character, Coriander, is a fairy! I LOVE fairies, I am obsessed with them! And it’s actually hard to find good books with fairies in them. I mean, they’re often children’s books or untrustworthy Dark Fae. To find grown-up fairies in a cozy mystery is not new, but it is rare and I love love love it! And a toad familiar! How cool is that! I loved little Thorny! Oops sorry ThornTON. He is very serious and in that seriousness he is so funny! And he is very protective of Cori.

I really bonded with Cori. Her love for animals, and she’s highly sensitive, plus she’s kind, caring, sweet, and fun! But don’t think she’s a push-over! She can be brave if she wants to be, and has an investigative mind and is clever and resourceful. Her doubts and insecurity about her imperfect wings make her even more endearing and relatable. She’s everything I want in a bookfriend!

A lighthearted tone, a clever mystery, great characters, a fun setting: it has all the ingredients for a great book. And yes, now that I have finished, I can honestly say this is one of the best books I have ever read! I could NOT stop reading! There was enough attention to the investigation and there was lots of magic, lots of imagination!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the Author. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. All Swell That Ends Spell by Trixie Silvertale is about a fairy trying to solve how a mermaid got killed. A great introductory book to Ms. Silvertale's writing.
Will Coriander figure out who killed Delphine?
Coriander
Coriander is a fairy, who grew up in the human world, until she came across the Faire, and now she is a part of the cursed group of magical beings stuck there. We learn a bit more about the sorceress who cursed them all to stay there with Coriander's help. Knowing that was one of my questions since Ms. Johnson's book. Coriander is a young fairy who knows nothing about the fairy part of herself, but she is still learning. She has a job to read people's futures or anything they want to know since Coriander doesn't want anything to do with the fairy population at the Faire.

I like Coriander a lot. She is a cool and awesome fairy who knows her limitations while also learning more about her past.
All Swell That Ends Spell CRThe Mystery
Coriander takes it upon herself with the blessings of the Mer population to look into how their princess got killed and who would kill her. There are a lot of suspects, and a lot of them keep getting taken off the list just to be put back onto it. Coriander has a lot on her mind while trying to solve this mystery. Both Coriander and I were shocked to find out who killed Delphine as I just didn't see the person who could have done it.
Five Stars
All Swell That Ends Spell by Trixie Silvertale is my first book by Ms. Silvertale, and it was fantastic. I love how it weaved right in with what Ms. Johnson has already laid groundwork on with the first book in this series and how this one just flowed right with it. Another thing that I like is how Coriander isn't like the other happy-go-lucky fairy's that are a part of the Faire. My rating for this book is five stars. I recommend it to anyone who likes cozy paranormal mysteries—especially ones with a cursed magical population in a Renaissance Faire setting. :)

The main character of this book is Coriander the Conjurer, who is a fairy trapped in a Renaissance Faire. Cori lacks self-confidence, but finds the courage to help the handsome prince of the Mer solve the murder of his beloved sister. The gorgeous mermaid had more than a few enemies, so Cori has plenty of suspects to question in order to find the killer. This book is the second in the Magical Renaissance Faire Mysteries, but reads as a standalone.

If you are a cozy mystery fan but don't usually read paranormal books, give this one a try. Even though the main characters in the book include fairies, mermaids, mermen, and vampires, the emotions and motivations like wanting to fit in and wanting to be loved, are very human. Cori is such a likable main character with her cleverness and kindness. I enjoyed watching Cori find her confidence as well as the chance for love. I really recommend this book for anyone looking for a cozy mystery that is fun to read.

I received a copy of this book from the author at no cost, but my review is voluntary and unbiased.

I don't think I mentioned that this is a multi-author series. Three authors have created this wonderful magical faire where anyone with magic can get stuck forever.

In this book we meet Coriander she's a fairy, but unlike some when she was 'trapped' by eating the candy it was truly an escape from abuse. The humans who 'adopted' her were convinced she was a changeling and were constantly testing her for abilities. She thought she would be part of the fairies Enchanted Forest, but Queen Magnolia had banned her after a week, saying her 'trailer trash' upbringing just wouldn't do. Coriander actually prefers not being part of that, she enjoys her freedom and has a fortune telling tent and a toad companion named Thornton.

Like all faires they travel from site to site, and this particular one is having an issue with the merfolk. The owner Carl Rutlish has an unreasonable demand. He wants a mermaid on the shell throne from opening to closing. Not just any mermaid either, he wants it to be Princess Delphine, Prince Hadal's sister. Seems he's a bit obsessed with her and calls them out when they have humans helping out on that throne. He even threatens to double the rent for their space.

Unfortunately for Carl, Delphine is found dead the next morning. The sheriff in his usual uncaring way merely sends the body off to Vern the vampire for autopsy. Cori knows the man won't do much to find the killer, so she wants to investigate. Not only to clear the owner Carl but to find the true culprit. No one wants a murderer running around the faire. First though, she needs Prince Hadal's permission.

Like any good investigator, Cori starts with the coroner Vern, the vampire.

He doesn't have the cause of death yet and frankly he scares Cori. Another of her suspects is Tombolo, he's a merman and his proposal to Delphine was rejected. This she found out from Delphine's best friend Neap. Even though Tombolo was rejected he truly did love Delphine and is mourning her.

Cori works her way through her suspects, only to find more. Vern also has an insight into who Cori's fae parents might have been.

With plenty of twists and turns this is a most enjoyable read with just a hint of romance between Cori and Hadal.

Good

Trixie Silvertale takes a turn at writing the second book in this multi author series, set within a cursed Renaissance Faire- from which none of the magical residents can escape.
In this book, we meet Coriander the Conjurer, a Fae with a lopsided pair of wings, a sad backstory, and a crush on a handsome merman; though rather than conjuring, she’s actually divining in the fortune telling tent!
When one of the mermaids is killed, Coriander is determined to find the killer, partly because of said crush being the Mer-Prince and brother of the victim, and partly because she can’t stand the idea of a murderer roaming the faire unchecked.
With the help of her frog familiar Thornton, Coriander investigates the death of the mermaid, and starts to question the residents of the faire- which is not without its dangers.

Although this is the second book in the series, it isn’t necessary to have read that one first; the three authors writing this series have a shared world, but individual characters and storylines. There are cameos from the other two main characters in this story, as well as a few glimpses of characters that appeared in the first book (the flower child fairies- love the name- and Vern being two such).
Like the first book, this is filled with Renaissance faire fun, a few Ren faire tropes and jokes, and an intriguing mystery about the faire itself that runs throughout the series.
This is a fun, and very lighthearted cosy paranormal mystery. I thoroughly enjoy the setting of the magical Ren Faire, and look forward to discovering a little more about the curse, and about Coriander’s mysterious background. I have to add that I do love her name, and not just because I’m a fan of the herb and spice!

An entertaining and funny series, well worth reading for the paranormal cosy mystery lover, and the Renaissance Faire fan alike.

What a great book to read in this series in the magical cursed Renaissance Fair! Book two has the same magical feel that book one did and I was intrigued by our heroine Cori who is investigating the murder of a mermaid partially because she is infatuated by the dead girl’s brother who happens to also be a prince!

Cori ferrets out clues as to who would do such a thing and the suspect list seems to point in one direction but something just doesn’t seem right when she confronts that suspect.

In her investigation she finds out a little information she never knew about herself and her faerie lineage which would be a great basis for another book in this series!

I recommend this book to readers old and young who love to read about interpersonal relationships between others. You forget with the exception of some scenes that you’re reading about faeries, mermaids, mermen and the like. The story reads like people next door and I for one loved it!! It ended waaaay too soon for me! That’s why I’d love another book to explore these characters more and get to know them better!

This is a delightful series and I encourage one and all to get this series today and just settle back and read a book that you’re going to enjoy and bring back the love of reading again in your life!

Fantasy is the perfect escape and I encourage you to
not only get this series but to check out Trixie’s Mitzy Moon series as well! It’s a series you’ll love and you will fall in love with the characters in Pin Cherry Harbor I guarantee!!

I look forward to the final book in the series in this setting but maybe these ladies can be persuaded to
come out with sequels to their stories here so we readers can find out what new adventures await our new friends!

The second in a series of three set within the confines, or demesne to continue the mediaeval theme, of the enchanted (or cursed) Renfaire All Spell That Ends Spell once again plays on a title of a play written by the bard himself.
This time the physical location of the faire is different and so is the all too human owner of that location and this time the main character is a slightly lopsided fairy called Coriander, or Cori for short. Shy, depreciating and solitary by nature Cori has a huge crush on Hadal, leader of the Merfolk but is far to shy to try and claim his attention. Her chance comes when she tries, unobtrusively, to help in a disagreement between the owner of the land they are camped on and the merfolk. But after a body is discovered Cori decides she needs to discover exactly who the killer is, if only because the Sheriff is no more interested now than he was previously in investigating the death.
During the course of her investigation we discover more about the fairies at the centre of the enchanted Renfaire as well as the Merfolk, just one more group of enchanted beings caught within the confines of the curse as well as why they came to be there. But we all get a further glimpse into the private life of Vern the coroner and his daily struggle against his natural self, Raquel the demon owner of the most popular pub or tavern in the faire and Antonio the apothecary.
Every bit as good as the first book in the series, Much Abroom About Nothing, All Swell That Ends Spell is an excellently written novella and follows on seamlessly in the series. I can't wait to read the next, but hopefully not the last, in the series.

I enjoyed this unusual book. There are a lot of paranormal cozy mystery books out there but I haven't read anything quiet like this book. The whole faire is designed to trap super naturals (not sure why) but once they enter they can not leave, this leads to an unusual and varied cast of characters from vampires to mermaids. The story is well written making them easy to picture and like. The unusual names took a bit of getting used to, as did some of the Renaissance Faire talk but as the story develops you soon get use to it. I loved Coriander and the fact that she isn't your usual confident amprinca sleuth and really liked watching her grow into the role with help from her friends. I had worked out who the killer was, despite all the suspects but it was still a fun read and I look forward to joining Coriander on another adventure in the strange world of a Renaissance Faire.
With a new human in charge of the faire things aren't running smoothly. He is making unreasonable demands and the mer people are up in arms. Coriander a fortune-telling fairy tries to step in to keep the peace and because she has a secret crush on the mermaid prince, who doesn't even know her name. Things get even worse when the prince's sister is found dead, floating at the bottom of the mer show tank. To stop war from braking out and knowing the lazy sheriff and his troll officers won't do more than cover up the fact there has been a murder, Coriander offers to investigate. Can she keep the peace and find a killer or will she be swimming with the fishes?

The second book in a trilogy written by 3 authors that are fantastic! Coriander, Cori as she is called, is trapped in a Renaissance Fair for perpetuity by a curse helped along by the witch who owns the crooked confectionery shop. With the help of her toad familiar, Thornton and her roommate Fraxi, she is learning to fit in and make a life for herself. Cori is a fairy who cares about everyone good or bad and can't help herself from getting involved with anyone who needs help. She also has a huge crush on the merman prince, Hadal. When Hadal's sister, Delphine is found murdered, Cori feels the need to investigate and uncover a murderer. With the help of Thornton, Hadal, the handsome prince, the blacksmith, Vern the vampire coronor, Antonio the apothecary, the support of Fraxi and Rachel the demon bar owner, Cori follows dead-ends and red-herrings as she sorts through the suspects. We are dealing with murder, poison as well as attempted murder as she wades through the clues and miscues. This is a well-written fun second chapter to the series.I love the surprise ending when the murderer is revealed! And I love the punishment given the murderer. I can't wait to see what the third episode in this trilogy will bring. I received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

This was another fun and whimsical, cozy mystery. Just like with the first one in the series I felt all the magical vibes and loved the set up of the Renaissance fair with all these supernatural creatures. With this one, in particular, I felt very immersed in the story with the visualizations, that was on the page. I felt like I was there and going along and visiting all these different places among the fair. And it was pretty cool.

The mystery was interesting as well. I loved how Cori made it, her mission to find out who killed Delphene. As she was following the clues, the mystery became more complex and interesting. It was very intriguing to not only see the motives, but the places that were visited. It was just cool to see her kind of bridge the gap between species.

There were hens of romance and this one that I have thought was very sweet and pure. And it was the reason she got involved in the first place because the victim was the brother of who Cori was crushing on. I like to seeing that build up between them, and hints of what could possibly happen in the future between them.

It was just a fun time just like book one was. Once it got in the thick of it, it was hard to put down because I wanted to know who the murderer was going to be. It was very engaging and interesting. It kept my attention, and it just gave me all good vibes.

All Swell That Ends Spell is the second book the multi-authored Magical Renaissance Faire series. This book focuses on another character trapped within the Renaissance Faire, Coriander (Cori) and her familiar, Thornton. The Faire has changed ownership to a mundane and it appears he doesn’t understand the lives of those who live to entertain the masses. After several heated arguments between the new owner, Carl, and Hadar, the Mer prince, one of the merfolk is found dead in the tank.

Our heroine, Cori, sets out to learn the truth of what happened. She enlists the assistance of the local vampire and, of course her toad, Thornton to help her amateur sleuthing. As she digs into the death, Cori discovers several potential suspects with axes to grind.

I really enjoyed meeting Cori and getting to know her. She’s a kind, sensitive soul who loves and cherishes animals. She’s gentle but can be tough when she needs to be and proves how clever she can be as she searches for the truth. She’s not perfect and that makes her relatable.

All Swell That Ends Spell is a fun, magical mystery novella with an intriguing plot. I enjoyed Cori’s character and her amateur sleuthing abilities. This is a great second book in this book series.

I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy from the author. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

I have read all of Trixie Silvertale’s Mitzy Moon Mysteries so I was happy to read another one of her tales from a different series. This one is quite different but still has a bit of Trixie’s great sense of humor.

Coriander is trapped in the Faire as are all of the other beings who work there. It was interesting to see a fairy working with mer people, a vampire, a demon, and other fantastical creatures all in the same Faire. They keep their distance from each other for the most part, but when a mermaid is murdered, Cori decides that she wants to find the murderer. It would be the perfect way to get an in with the prince of the mer people since it was his sister that was murdered and she has had a crush on him for years.

This is a fun cozy mystery that includes several suspects, a lot of humor, clever investigating, great characters and a little romance. This is definitely a book for anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries. I don’t think I’ve read one before with a fairy as the main character!

The second book in an excellent well worth reading series of three books All Swell that Ends Spell once again takes place in the enchanted, or cursed, Renfaire of the first book. The faire has moved to a new human location and this time the main character is a slightly lopsided fairy named Coriander, or Cori for short. Shy, solitary, Cori has a crush on Hadal, leader of the Mer people, and tries - unobtrusively - to help when they become embroiled in a disagreement with the owner of the land where the Renfaire is currently camped. After a body is discovered Cori decides to discover who was responsible, the sheriff being no more interested now than he was in the previous novello. During her investigations we learn more about the fairies responsible for the entire enchanted curse keeping them all locked within the walls of the Renfaire. We also get a glance into the lifestyles of the Merfolk, now they came to be in the Renfaire, and also more about Vern the Coroner and his struggle to maintain a normal - or not normal - life as well as the owner of the gingerbread house and the apothocary.
Every bit as good as the first book I can't wait to read the next in the series.

Totally fun

Light, imaginative mysteries set at a Renaissance Faire, where actual magical beings are ensnared by a curse, unable to leave the fair. When humans come to the fair, the magical beings disguise themselves as humans in costumes. But the real life of the place happens when the gates close. In the first novella included in this book, Adelaide visits the fair, but can’t leave because she’s eaten the enchanted candy that traps all magical folk inside. This is also how she learns that she is a magical being. She’s snapped up as an indentured servant by an unscrupulous witch almost immediately, then must solve that witch’s murder in order to save herself from being executed for the murder. As with all of Erin Johnson’s stories, charm abounds, with endearing characters, an interesting story, and a cozy resolution. The second novella is set in the same fair, but focuses on fairies and merpeople, one of whom has been killed. Coriander, a fairy with second sight, resolves to solve the mystery and get closer to her merman crush. I’m looking forward to more stories set in this Renaissance Faire.

Loved this book!

💖 Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
📚 Genre: Fantasy cozy mystery

💕 Positives:
* This book wins for most unique setting in a cozy mystery - a magical ren faire.

* It's focused mainly on mermaids & mermen!!!

* The mystery was interesting with plenty of twists and turns.

* Cori is such a sweet character. It's neat having the story told from a fairy's point of view.

🚫 Negatives: None.

⚡Content Warning: Bruises are mentioned but not in detail nor described. It's just "the dead body had these on it" and nothing else. Easy to skim over.

🌟 Overall, I flew through this book in three days.  It was so good! It was nice that this story spent more time on explaining both the magic and the curse of the ren faire, since I had some questions about both from the first book. Also, I've never read a book that was from the viewpoint of a fairy before. Witches and vampires of course, but never the fae.

Loved the characters, the mystery was fun and I really enjoyed the inclusion of the mermaids and mermen. Definitely looking forward to more of Cori's story later on in the series.

Another fun mystery solved within the magically cursed renaissance faire where all those magically gifted were cursed to live in the kingdom of Elbion forever. A small fairy called Coriander and her familiar, Thornton the toad are bent on solving the murder mystery of Delphine, the beautiful mermaid and sister of the Prince, the gorgeous merman, Hadal who made her heart go all aflutter. She risked her own life asking questions as she moved down the names on her suspect list, as not everyone enjoyed being questioned. However nothing daunted our little heroine who never listened to her wise toad, but stuck her neck out too recklessly. I really loved that Cori did not like kids, at all as I could totally empathise with this fairy in that regard. I also loved her naïve outlook on life and her readiness to accept that people are innocent till proven guilty. I also loved the surprise murderer once this became known and the punishment dolled out which was well deserved. I am really enjoying these mysteries at the faire and look forward to book 3.

I am thoroughly hooked on Trixie Silvertale’s Mitzy Moon cozy mystery series, so am always eager to read any other book she publishes. She is known for her fun, snarky, vulnerable female protagonists. This book did not disappoint!

I was immediately pulled into this story by the delightful Coriander the Conjuror and her familiar Thornton “Thorny” the toad. Cori, a fairy with slightly lopsided wings, is trapped in a cursed Renaissance Faire, as are other magickal beings. When a mermaid dies, she must work within the realm of the faire to help the merfolk find the killer.

I always enjoy Trixie’s secondary characters, as they themselves are unique. Here we have a vampire who is the coroner, a demon tavern owner, and a handsome Mer prince who sets Cori’s wings aflutter. I laughed out loud at her description of Shy Rennie - “a man so shy and unassuming that a mirror couldn’t be bothered to show his reflection.”

I look forward to reading the other two books in the series even though they are not by Trixie.

This is the second book in the Magical Renaissance Faire Mystery Series. I am enjoying this new series. I find Renaissance Fairs to be magical places in real life. Finding a series of books that revolve around them was an unexpected treat!
In this book we meet fairy Coriander and her friend/pet, Thornton. A mermaid has been killed. Not just any mermaid but a princess who was the sister of Cori’s crush, Hadal. Cori begins investigating the murder and soon finds no shortage of suspects.
I love how we get to meet so many different magical beings. One of my favorite characters is Vern the undertaker, a vampire. I also love that the authors are showing how everyone has a dark side as well as a good side. I think this is a realistic concept. The mystery was very well written. I did not guess who did it until close to the reveal. This book is a definite thumbs up. Grab your copy and enjoy all fair has to offer!

*I was provided an ecopy of this title for review consideration. The review is based upon my enjoyment of the book and is voluntary.*

I enjoyed this cute tale about a fairy, Coriander, and her special merman who didn't know she was alive until his beautiful mermaid sister drowned. Cori is a sweet fae who is always concerned about everyone's welfare, wants to help find the killer. Many other types of magical beings stuck in the Renaissance fair because they ate magical candy willingly help Cori and the Mer people, in part because she points out the danger for every magical being. The fact Cori, who has been trying to get the Mer Prince to notice her, now has his attention because she is investigating his sister's death is a source of amusement for the coroner vampire and the handsome, strong ironsmith. The suspense builds as powerful magic candy threatens the well-being of the Vampire and Cori's roommate. Cori's puts her life in danger as her investigation proceeds. Will her innocent trust be her downfall? She learns she should trust her familiar Thorton the toad. I received an ARC of this book and willingly reviewed it.

This is the 2nd book in the three book Magical Renaissance Faire series. Each book is written by a different author and although the Faire is the location for all of the books, the characters and situations are different. So, each book can also be read as a standalone. In this book, we see another aspect of the diversity of the Ren Faire as a lot of this story happens in the mer-people entertainment and living pods areas in the Faire. The main character, Coriander or Cori for short, is a fairy. There's an incident with the merfolk and Cori wants to solve it, in part because she is very much attracted to the mer-prince. This is a fun and entertaining cozy mystery read. Although there are currently only three books in the series, I hope that each author continues and writes more about each of their characters. I would enjoy seeing how each character changes and develops over more storylines.

Coriander was raised by humans who thought she was a changeling and were horrible to her. When she was finally rescued from them at the Renaissance faire by a dayad . She found out she was a fairy. Since her change was forced upon her by magic her one wing came out bigger than the other to which she is embarrassed about. Combined with her rotten childhood and being abandoned by her mother she is shy and has very little confidence. She has long had a crush on the mer Prince. When his beautiful sister is found murdered Coriander or Cori convinced the Prince to let her look into it
This is the second book in the Renaissance faire series! This book was a wonderful addition to the series. It was very well written. I loved the way she dealt with the whole faire of suspects and narrowed the suspects down to one very methodically especially since Cori had no previous experience! I loved the stories within the stories! I loved the multi themed story about rising above your past, how the kindness of one person can change a life, romance, facing ones fears, courage and perseverance against all odds, appearances can be deceiving. I can’t recommend this book highly enough! It was a pleasure to read. Beware once you start reading it you won’t be able to put it down. Looking forward to reading the next book in this series!

A fun fanciful read with lots of interesting characters and developing plot with twists. Although I have never read this author before I'm definitely interested in her other books.

Poor shy Corinder she's just so sweet she pines for her prince a merfolk prince what is she going to do. Every day Cori tells people's fortunes at the never ending Renaissance Fair for all things special humans come and go never realizing what lies behind the glamor and magic of the place. Cori finally has her chance to help her prince unfortunately there's been a murder his sister can Cori find all the clues with the help of friends and her familiar a very proper toad.

Loved this cozy read it was humorous and I couldn't put it down. I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.

A fairy whose wings are a bit off-kilter and her toad familiar are the keys to solving the mystery behind a mermaid's murder in this the second entry of this multi-authored series. Silvertale is a favourite author of mine, whose paranormal cozies - one I'm just in the midst of reading in fact - skillfully combine intrigue, deceit, and murder with just enough magick to make you wish it were real.

All Swell That Ends Spell is no different. A refreshing mix of supernatural beings makes the reading of this one super fun and presents the solution before you know the story is done.

A great, quick read; I thoroughly enjoyed Book Two and look forward to Book Three in this series.

Coriander is a Fairy in the Magical Renaissance Faire. She had been raised in the human world until going to the Faire and eating the witches candy and being magical is trapped in the Faire. She tells fortunes for her living and is enamored of the Merman Prince. There is a new human owner of the Faire and he threatens the Merfolk and demands one of the women sit on the plastic throne during the day while the Faire is open. Several days later, the body of the Mermaid Princess is found floating in one of the tanks. She has been murdered and there are quite a few suspects. The question is, how did she die and of course who killed her. Coriander approaches the Prince and offers her abilities to search for the killer.

I am voluntarily reviewing this book after receiving it free from the author.

This is the second book in the Magical Renaissance Faire. This is a delightful and cute book and quick read featuring Coriander (Cori), a fairy with a Cinderella type story. Cori has lopsided wings and suffers from low self-esteem, but pushes herself. She has a crush on the Prince of the Merpeople and when a mermaid is found murdered, she offers to investigate to help out Prince Hadal. With help from her friends and a few scary supes that run the Faire, Cori looks for answers, but will she solve the murder or end up like the mermaid? Thorton, the frog, was quite funny and the descriptions of his little shoulder saddle cracked me up. I'm glad we learned a bit more about Vern the vampire and coroner, as he helped Cori with information about the body. I'm hoping for a book with Vern as the main character, in the third book or if there are more books in the future.

I knew this series was written by a team of writers, so I was a bit surprised when this book barely even mentioned the characters from the first book. I love the idea of a round robin type series similar to the Winter Witches of Holiday Haven series.

In this book, we get to see the Renaissance Faire from the perspective of the fairies and mermaids/mermen. I loved the hippy dippy fairies. I hope we see more of them in the upcoming books by Trixie Silvertale. (Love her Mitzie Moon series.)

I was already a fan of both Trixie Silvertale and Erin Johnson. Nova Nelson is new to me. I'm looking forward to seeing what characters she will add to the mix and how she might make use of the ones we've already met. I'd love an interview (podcast maybe) where these three authors sit down and talk about their collaborative process in writing this series.

"All Swell That Ends Spell" by Trixie Silvertale the 2nd instalment in the Paranormal Magical Renaissance Faire Mysteries. A dubious festival. A fatal swim. Can this fortune-telling fairy herald the true killer?

I enjoyed this 2nd instalment, and visiting the cursed Renaissance Faire again. I found it to be a fun read and Cori and her talking toad Horton are delightful. The characters are vivid and lively, even when one is a talking toad! The mystery in the plot is well thought out, with many twists and turns. I liked the Mermaid aspect as well.

There were plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing on who the culprit was. Overall this was a great paranormal cozy and I hope there will be plenty more to come.

We get a happy ending but know that we will soon revisit this place, and I for one, can’t wait!

I highly recommend this series to all my friends.
