Salutare!
E o misiune periculoasa, dar, asa cum imi place mie sa spun, UN CAINE BUN NU SE DA NICIODATA BATUT!

I had no idea James Patterson also wrote children's books, and this was such a delight to read! Mission ImPAWsible is the third book in the Dog Diaries series (which is, itself, a spinoff of his Middle School series). Seb and I hadn't read any books from those series before, and Mission ImPAWsible can be read as a standalone. However, we enjoyed it so much, we quickly placed a hold on the earlier books at the library.
Mission ImPAWsible follows the tale (no pun intended!) of Junior as his family plans for a trip to Hollywood. Junior hopes to go with them, but what happens when he is left behind? Junior, along with his neighbourhood puppy pals are in for an adventure.
Told from the perspective of Junior, this book is laugh out loud funny. It has a blend of text and images in the style and reading level of Captain Underpants, Big Nate, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Sebastian enjoyed it a ton! He wanted to make sure I added this warning to my review - do not read the back copy or the synopsis with your children. It spoils a lot of details from the story!
We highly recommend Dog Diaries to young readers. We even loved that a few activity pages, themed to the book, are included in the back!
This is book three in the Dog Diaries series. I love these books. They are told by Junior the family dog. They are such great children’s book and I so enjoy reading them and discussing them with my nephew!
In this book Junior is learning more people words and he overheard Mom saying they were going on vacation! He gets so excited only to find out the family and neighbors are going and Junior and his gang are going to an elite dog kennel. Let’s just say his experience is one I could never handle and I would do whatever it would take to escape!
I’m looking forward to the book being released in America in March 2020.
Middle grade readers will enjoy the continued humorous adventures as our dog narrator shares his take on life. This time the family heads off on a vacation and he is crushed to discover he and his dog friends have been sent to a doggy spa that serves vegetarian meals. Hilarious conclusion as the family gets home.
This was a Goodreads win thank you. I hoped I would win this for my grandchild, who I believe will very much enjoy this story about a lovable dog, who had great friends. Especially as grandchild's dog, has a cousin dog called Odin!
Loved the drawings, and the story is about a dog, who is devoted to his master, a young male pet (as Junior calls him) a human named Rafe. One will smile when dog, "Junior" gives directions on how to great a human pal, it is down to a "T" how the dogs in this family great their human pals!
Junior tells the story of how he met his doggy pals. His holiday at Barking Meadows Doggy home, the awful diet they were on, and the great escape.
Miss 5 enjoys the Dog Diaries series book narrated from the perspective of a dog with his sometimes inaccurate interpretations of "People-ish". She likes that he really means well even if he sometimes makes mistakes with hilarious results. She wasn't quite as taken with this book where Junior and his mutt-mates end up on an unexpected vacation; I think she's found his misinterpretations of People holidays more amusing.
Miss 5 and I like to explore different books and authors at the library, sometimes around particular topics or themes. We try to get different ones out every week or so; it's fun for both of us to have the variety and to look at a mix of new & favourite authors.
*this preliminary review is of the copy that I won in the Goodreads Giveaway*
This is the first Dog Diaries I have read, but the authors have done a wonderful job in capturing Junior’s voice and point-of-view. I love having been introduced to Junior’s Doglish dialect, and it makes me want to learn more about and of it. The way that Junior has written a journal about his experiences being “dog-sat” while his humans are away is, I think, a great way to get kids to start writing by keeping a journal of their own (as this book is geared towards children), and I commend this pooch for having set the example! :)

In this book Junior Catch A Doggy Bone is back as his family head off on holiday with their other human pals while he and his doggy friends get excited to go to Hollywood with them they soon get a shock especially when they get served vegetables and not their meaty treats as their holiday plans to awry and an escape plan is plotted and tried!
Junior's stories are always great fun the cast of dog characters are vibrant and unforgettable, an hilarious read!
This book has lots of cute little dog-licious expressions that you'll either love or hate. There is a guide to speaking "Doglish" in the back. It is a story told by a dog about his pet humans and his gang of animal friends. It includes lots of fun drawings and the kind of humor that middle schoolers often love. If you like this, Patterson wrote a gazillion other books that kids love. I will be passing this on so that all of the kids can read it.
Junior is back with another excerpt from his diary. In these passages he shares with his person-pal ( you the reader) about the time his Pet-human and family went on vacation, and left him at what he thought was a swank establishment. Once inside Junior discovers a terrible secret about the place which leaves him no other alternative.
Received this book free from a goodreads giveaway.. My son and i read this together. He really enjoyed it and got some giggles out of it. This was our first dog diaries books and we will def. read some more.
Ahh, the adventures of animals through their eyes and voices. Entertaining to no end for me. Junior and his friends get to stay together while being boarded but still run into surprises. Read on to enjoy their escapades.
I enjoyed this book. it was funny, well written, and lots of adventure included! James Patterson is a VERY talented writer! I would recommend this book for boys and girls from the ages of 7-10. If you like dogs, and are somewhere around those ages, I think you should definitely.
Junior thinks he is going on vacation to Hollywood with his Catch-a-Doggy-Bone kennel family. When he finds out otherwise, he is in for the surprise of his life. Will he survive? Can he escape? What a funny read!
Check,Check...this is WORLD’S MOST BARK-A-LICIOUS Agent Heidi reporting for duty can you keep a big secret no BIG secret no BIG!!!! secret okay here it comes so...ITS THE MOST FUNNY 🤣 BOOK I’VE EVER WEVER READ okay be as quiet fish okay please be😛🤐
I read this aloud with my third grade guy who loves funny book. It was cute, charming, and he was ready to read the next one when we finished it. The illustrations are adorable and the plot is pretty cute!
168 pgs. Another funny installment. This time the dogs get dropped off at a supposed Dog Spa, that turns terrible. Who knew they would serve veggies to dogs, instead of meat? Lots of humor throughout. Kids will enjoy this one. Highly recommended for Grades 4-5.
This was a cute book about a story from the dog's perspective. I like how the dog has specific grammar that he uses for people, rooms, etc. My son and I enjoyed reading this book. Can't wait to read more.
What was cute and funny about the first one feels overdone and boring this time around. I gave it an extra star for entertaining my children, and it is after all a children's book.... But many a children's book can also be enjoyed by adults as well. This was not one of those books for me.
If you’re a dog lover, Mission ImPAWsible by James Patterson is the book for you. It’s a children’s book and funny. The book is part of a series called Dog Diaries, with so many other adventures. The main character is a dog ( if you haven’t noticed yet) named Junior, and his pet humans/owners are Jaw Jaw (Georgia), Mom Lady (Mom) and his FAVORITE PET HUMAN OF ALL TIME IS...... RUFF (Rafe)! I thought it was cute and unexpected when Junior flipped the world upside down when he tries to understand the human language. In the story Junior’s pet humans along with his friend’s pet humans are going to Hollywood but leave him and his friends at a kennel ( a fancy one to be exact ). But once it’s time to eat they have to eat vvvvvvvvve ...... vee ... veget .... VEGETABLES! And they have to find a way out. Does their plan work?
I think this is the last Dog Diaries I’ll read. I didn’t enjoy this one at all. Who gives dogs vegetables?!? Also, what was the mission that was impossible? Plus the Doglish is really starting to get on my nerves.
