Walter Elias “Walt” Disney (December 5, 1901 – December 15, 1966) was an American film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, animator, entrepreneur, entertainer, international icon, and philanthropist. Disney is famous for his influence in the field of entertainment during the 20th century. As the co-founder (with his brother Roy O. Disney) of Walt Disney Productions, Disney became one of the best-known motion picture producers in the world. The corporation he co-founded, now known as The Walt Disney Company, today has annual revenues of approximately U.S. $35 billion.
Disney is particularly noted for being a film producer and a popular showman, as well as an innovator in animation and theme park design. He and his staff created some of the world's most famous fictional characters including Mickey Mouse, a character for which Disney himself was the original voice. He has been awarded four honorary Academy Awards and has won twenty-two competitive Academy Awards out of fifty-nine nominations, including a record four in one year, giving him more awards and nominations than any other individual. He also won seven Emmy Awards. He is the namesake for Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort theme parks in the United States, as well as the international resorts Tokyo Disney, Disneyland Paris, and Disneyland Hong Kong.
Disney died of lung cancer in Burbank, California, on December 15, 1966. The following year, construction began on Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. His brother Roy Disney inaugurated the Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971.
The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) (commonly referred to as Disney) is the largest media and entertainment conglomerate in the world in terms of revenue. Founded on October 16, 1923, by brothers Walt Disney and Roy Disney as the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, the company was reincorporated as Walt Disney Productions in 1929. Walt Disney Productions established itself as a leader in the American animation industry before diversifying into live-action film production, television, and travel. Taking on its current name in 1986, The Walt Disney Company expanded its existing operations and also started divisions focused upon theatre, radio, publishing, and online media. In addition, it has created new divisions of the company in order to market more mature content than it typically associates with its flagship family-oriented brands.
The company is best known for the products of its film studio, the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group, today one of the largest and best-known studios in Hollywood. Disney also owns and operates the ABC broadcast television network; cable television networks such as Disney Channel, ESPN, and ABC Family; publishing, merchandising, and theatre divisions; and owns and licenses 11 theme parks around the world. On January 23, 2006, it was announced that Disney would purchase Pixar in an all-stock transaction worth $7.4 billion. The deal was finalized on May 5. On December 31, 2009, Disney Company acquired the Marvel Entertainment, Inc. for $4.24 billion. The company has been a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average since May 6, 1991. An early and well-known cartoon creation of the company, Mickey Mouse, is the official mascot of The Walt Disney Company.
[RE-READ] The last time I read this was the summer of 2006 when HSM first came out, and I asked my uncle to buy me this book at a library ice cream social 🥹 #OnceAWildcatAlwaysAWildcat 🦁❣️
Highkey, this was actually such a good read!!! Like they honestly ate with the story telling 🥰 such a good trip down memory lane, I was watching the movie all over again ❤️
Again, another book that was bought for me from a scholastic book fair because of my love for High School Musical *cough cough* .... I mean Zac Efron.... Lol I remember enjoying this book well enough but thinking it was basically just ashorter, summerized version of the movie. 😒 haha but it was fine for what it was! And I appreciate the memories and nostalgia it holds for me.
First of all - love the movies, always have and always will. This was basically just repeating what was said in the movies and nothing else. It told me the thoughts and feelings of the characters but the writing was generally bad in this tbh. The writing isn’t descriptive at all and if I hadn’t seen the movie I wouldn’t have been able to picture anything. Some parts aren’t explained at all. Its overall just a long summary of the movie. Some iconic quotes were slightly changed which bothered me. the parts when it changed to music were done very bad, ive read some very good musical theatre books (the prom & dear Evan Hansen) and the way they added the songs into those were a lot better than this
I know I’m not the target audience for this and maybe I would have liked it when I was younger but for now this is not it
I really enjoyed it. just like the movie, it was sweet & fun. Nostalgia. in this read/watch, Troy reminded me of Bobby Pendragon a lot; Superstar basketball player, brown hair, funny. & you know I love to find common things between my favourite characters. so I double-liked this turn. good times my only (half) problem was the simple, very quick, non-descriptive & jumpy (because changing the movie scenes) writing style. though it had fun moments too :)
This is a story about two teenage couple in pursueing their dreams. As for me,I do like it as my friends had recommended me this book.It first took place in New Years Eve,at the freestyle club.Until Troy met Gabriella, his big dream was to win the basketball championship. But ever since they sang together on New Years Eve,Troy can't get his mind off trying out for the lead role in the school musical-with Gabriella as his partner!Gabriella is struggling, too. The Scholastic Decathlon team could really use her help, but it would be fun to sing with Troy again. All their friends say'it's s bad idea and that Troy and Gabriella should ''stick to the status quo''.In their hearts, they know they've got the talent to play the lead roles in the musical,so why is everyone standing in their ways? Will they follow their dreams of being on the stage?Or will they have to give it all up so that they can lead their teams to victory?want to know? go find out.
Had to be one of the most beautifully stupid books i have ever ready. It was extremely entertaining and i am left with the feeling that nobody apart of the making of this book has ever attended a public high school. This was so weird i love it.
This was basically repeating what was said in the movie, but I watched the movie when I was young, so when I read this sometime later, this book told me the feelings and thoughts of the characters. I did not perceive those when I was watching the movie, so it helped me a little but apart from that, it was kinda useless. So, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, except for people who are like me :)
I've read this book when I was 11 or 12, and after I've watched the movie a dozen of times. all I can say is, it was really JUST a printed version of the Disney movie.
It's just it.
Anyway, I really liked the movie that time, and I became a huge fan of Troy and Gabriella. But that was years ago. :)
High School Musical greatly reminds me of my pre-teen years.
I have finished this book. I enjoyed the main character that wouldn't give up because she wanted to do the talent show at school but she was too scared but her friends told her she could do it so she did and won 2nd place. I recommend this book

Love the story so romantic. Reminds me of my child hood just perfect. You will not find a better available in the market this.
This book is about love and the last year of school and all the memories you build. I fell in love with this book because of how deep it was and how meaningful it is. I recommend this book for someone that is single and reads love story’s and is from the 2000s
continuing my nostalgic good time novelization reading. this is really cute and fun (listening to the soundtrack while reading added to the Experience), i lowkey enjoyed it more than i expected to, but man, what a disservice it is to not include the “what the heck are those two doing in a tree?” line.
High School Musical, La Novela.
Just as a warning, I did not complete the novel. Not that I have any wish to. The writing was so…unimpressive. The author kept putting in larger, fancier words, like "cavernous" and "poignant" when it was clear that smaller, plainer words would have done better. It felt like I was reading something that was trying to be more intelligent and more thought-provoking than it actually was. The characters felt more like archetypes than they did well-rounded, likable characters. Troy is the stock popular yet unhappy "heartthrob" that falls for the new girl. Gabriela is stock new girl who is, at first, shy and nervy, but becomes sexy and alluring towards the end. Sharpay was the stereotypical mean girl, Corby was the classic "goof" of the group. Surprisingly, the only character that evaded stereotyping was Ryan- which is very ironic considering that he was the token gay in the movie. This is the kid's version of a chick-lit. May be entertaining, fluffy, but ultimately devoid of anything that would make a book a classic. Which is, good writing, three-dimensional characters, and challenging themes.
I'm secretly convinced that anyone who does not like High School Musical is actually a robot. I mean, who doesn't like High School Musical? Everyone likes High School Musical. It has all the ingredients for a perfect movie: ridiculously attractive guy who just can't make up his mind, pretty smart girl with stage fright, meddling friends who just want them to stick to a very rigid "status quo" that is so ridiculous it's funny, evil drama bitch who is very pink, obviously gay but not gay because this is still a Disney film in the late 2000s with great hats, and adults that just don't understand. Add in fabulously ridiculous musical numbers, and you have the perfect plot.
Okay, so maybe I really want High School Musical to obtain cult movie status. Can you blame me? It's so campy I honestly can't help myself. The only way to enjoyably watch HSM as an adult is to acknowledge and revile in the weirdness of it all. The same goes for reading the movie novel.
Not very interesting but after I watched movie, I think the story is fun and I am gonna read High school Musical 2 next time. The Characters are Troy Bolton, Gabriella Montez and their friends Chad, Taylor and their classroommates, but not very friendly. Troy and Chad are the basketball boys, and Taylor and Gabriella are very goot at Mathematics and Science. And in East high school, where they all goes, is not a place where all of the students join together. In there, only the friends whose interest is similar are hang out with. And not others. But, after Gabriella change her school to East high school, This school changes. Something strange, that had never happened before is happening... And that's the POINT of this book.^^
This was a great middle-grade adaptation of High School Musical. I haven't watched the first movie since middle school (how time flies!) so reading this brought back a lot of memories (including the songs, which were stuck in my head all day after reading this).
---------------------------------------------- Part of a personal challenge to read all of my boyfriend's and his sister's childhood books before we donate and give them away.
A group of high school students are fighting, loving and getting to know new world over the main roles in a school musical. I think this is a very bad example of books based on movies since this book is only okay. I do not really know what to say about it, it was so short I barely noticed I read it. So I am pretty not sure how to rate this one! On the other hand, if you like the concept - the movies might be a source of joy to you!
This book was about a boy and girl named Troy Bolton and Gabriella. They come form two different worlds. Troy is a big time high school basketball player and gabriella is a awesome singer. They meet at a party and start to like each other but Gabriellas not the only one who likes troy. Sharpay Evans despieses Gabriella and does anything to get her man.
my greatest shame is admitting that I read this book along with the revelation that I've watched this over a thousand times when I was 11 or 10 (I'm not sure). it is also my greatest regret to say that I knew every lyric and every dance move to every song. this was a very huge part of my childhood.
from what I remember, this book did not differ from the movie itself. that'd be all.
I have to confess, I`ve never watched HSM. Ever. However when ten years ago a 12 year old me stumbled across this book series, I decided to give it a go and honestly I really enjoyed it. I would recommend reading this while listening to HSM soundtracks and trying to guess which song is supposed to be playing during the moment you are reading XD
This book was Amazing. I love all the characters especially Troy & Gabriella, they're SO cute. Well, without Sharpay I think the story was kind of boring. She's the wicked girl there. Therefore, she brought something ''BAD'' and because of that the storyline become MORE INTERESTING.
High School Musical - The book of the film is just one long summary of the movie. Eventhing that happens in the movie is written in the book. The book is missing the spark that the movie has, and the spark is the reason that the movie is amazing and the book is just ok.
