When Cara tumbles from a ladder in a York bookshop, she locks eyes with a handsome stranger and feels an overwhelming sense of recognition. The powerful connection between them defies explanation—until a Tarot reading reveals they are Twin Flame soulmates, bound through time by an ancient spiritual contract.
Though both are trapped in unfulfilling relationships in the present, their undeniable connection transports Cara to the dangerous court of Henry VIII in 1536, where Cara discovers she's blissfully married to Earl George Cavendish.
But when they're falsely accused of treason and witchcraft, they become fugitives in Tudor England. After a time travel experiment goes wrong, Cara races against the clock to rescue George before the timeline resets—and they lose each other forever.
A spellbinding tale of fated love, time-crossed destiny, and the extraordinary power of a connection that transcends time itself.

She dreamt of being a novelist since she was seven years old and her dream came true at fifty!

Rachel also writes as R.A. Henke where she crafts captivating contemporary billionaire romance novels in the Rochesters series, delivering intensely emotional stories that explore the redemptive power of love.
I was completely enthralled by the romance between Cara and George- you just love them both and want their romance to succeed. The to.easy travel adds an extra dimension and twists to the story to keep you turning the pages to the very end. I loved the trips into history
Just finished this book. I really enjoyed the story line and the twists and turns kept me turning the pages. Also the historical references. Looking forward to more from this author. I really like her writing style and it's very easy to follow what timeline the characters are in. Well done for a debut novel 💜
Absolutely loved Twin Flames. Grabbed me from page 1. Cara and George's love story whisks you away and takes you on an EPIC journey through time. Can't wait for book two!!
Loved it! Wonderful characters. Intriguing plot that hops around. Curious take on time travel that leaves you pondering. All around fantastic read! Well done, Rachel! Thank you!!
I really enjoyed this book. The plot was good and I felt that the romance was believable and realistic. My only setback was by 2/3 in it got a tad confusing with another timeline added in which felt random - but then I seemed to get it again further along.
I liked that it felt more balanced rather than the one sided view you can sometimes get with romances. I felt both George and Cara had their own minds but you could also understand why they worked well together.
I picked this up purely on the Tudor aspect and I was not disappointed. Loved it and cannot wait to read the next one
I found this time travel romp through Tudor England and modern-day York both touching and gripping. The central Twin Flames love affair over five centuries is beautifully told, and the fact that the heroine Clara is a Tudor historian (as I am) and George belongs to the Cavendish family that I researched for my PhD thesis only adds to the intrigue. It certainly gave a new dimension to my views of Tudor England. Who would have thought all that time travel was going on just by reading dry-as-dust Tudor manuscripts? A diverting and entertaining read. Highly recommended.
This a really interesting story about twin flame relationships, past lives, unconditional love and the lengths people go to when they want to save the person they love. It’s intriguing and kept interesting by the characters time travelling, showing how the past can affect the future. A really good read.
A beautifully written tale that flits between centuries, I loved that about the book. I also love the Tudor History in contrast with modern day. Also set around York for the main, a fave City of mine. Now about to read the second book. Well worth a read everyone.
Love the historical fiction and time travel elements especially when it's about Tudor Era and Victoriana time periods! Love the first book in this series and already have the next 3! Can't wait to read them all! Love George and Cara Cavendish! ♡
A really enjoyable romance, different to anything I’ve read before! I absolutely loved the time travelling. I felt Rachel had definitely done her Tudor research. A lovely read.
Dnf. Plot seemed rushed. The characters annoying, committing infidelity then going back and forth between being together and arguing. It got repetitive and dull very quickly.I must be the only person who didn’t enjoy this because the book got so many positive reviews. I love the idea of time travel romance but I’m afraid twin flames just didn’t do it for me.
Loved reading this it had me gripped right from the start, wondering.whether there is a George and Cara . The description of Tudor England, Victorian England and present day ha e you imagining you are there. A fantastic read and I am now off to read the next one in the series.
This was very rough, disjointed and too sloppy-doppy for me so could’ve done with less romance and more action or story.
The story jumped all over the place from present day York to 1536 London then to Seville 1840 and back to York present day so it’s quite difficult to keep track sometimes!
Very disjointed and doesn’t flow but I think I’ve now got the gist of things so am willing to try the second book in this series to see if, now I understand the foundations of the story, I can become more invested in the characters in the sequel……🤔
We will see but I’m willing to give it a try….Things can only get better…. Can’t they??
Loved the idea of this story but could have done with more history and less histrionics. Now that the author has set out the foundations I’m hoping the next book will have more content.
You are in for a wild ride with all these crazy story lines occurring. Plus throw in some epic time travel? As I continue to read the series I’m curious to see how it fits with Outlander. Better or not? Let’s find out.
This could have been a good story but it seemed to move really slow, lots of back and forth with Cara and George trying to stay together and not a lot of storyline.
Not knowing this has a sequel I read this as a standalone. I did enjoy the characters and the storyline although at times it was rather repetitive and predictable.
