What if, for once, the losers won out against the über-cools? GeekGirl gets GreekGod? It'd turn the school upside down.

But that's what Zoe's World, a website that Eberly's eighth-grade girls check out daily, is suggesting. Only Anna, Eve, and Syd know that the cards -- the mysterious tarot deck elderly Mrs. Rosemont left Anna (along with a psycho cat, Mouli) are responsible. Or may be responsible . . . if you believe in that sort of thing.

this book was okay. it was kind of cliche and and 80% predictable. just your average teenage girl that isnt part of the "cool" clique and is helplessly in love with this guy and argues with her friends. the kind that makes me embarrassed to be a teenaged girl. oh well. ill read the sequel anyway xD

It was a typical chick-lit book. Very predictable. At least I can check this book off of my list.

I picked this book up mainly becuase of Meg Cabots review which meant that the book would atleast be readable and it was exactly as I predicted.
The story revolves around a girl Anna, who lives with her mother and seven year old brother Russel. After one of her neighbors pass away she receives a deck of tarot cards and a psycho cat. Anna decides that she wanted to know what faith has lined up for her and Declan ( Former Geek turned Greek GOD) and these cards don't lie!
Anna finds her life has been altered forever and perhaps were going to see a new Anna!
It was fun to read, very easy to finish and predictable at parts but yet still something nice to read if your in the mood for some nice young Adult book. If you've finished up all your Meg Cabot books then i suggest maybe you should try it out.

Life was pretty simple for Anna. She had two best friends, Eve and Syd, did pretty well in school, and actually didn't worry about all those boy problems. Life was so simple, until Mrs. Rosemont, her neighbor that she used to help, passed away and left her a deck of tarot cards. Well, that and the crazy cat, Mouli.

Of course Anna didn't really believe in tarot cards. It seems impossible for a deck of cards to tell the future. But when Anna and her two friends put the cards to a test, the answers are more accurate than she would have imagined. What exactly did Anna ask? Or rather who did Anna ask about? Well, none other than Declan Kelso, the geek who grew up over the summer and became the "Greek God." All the girls at school are beginning to fall for the new and improved Declan, and unfortunately for Anna, so is she.

But the cards do say that Anna does have a chance with Declan, just as long as she gets a new look and can actually get Declan to notice her. Let's just hope that the girls read the cards right, because a wrong misinterpretation of the cards could possibly spell disaster.

The first in the series, LOVE takes high school drama to another level, a supernatural level you might say. Mariah Fredericks creates a cast of characters that are hilarious and total opposites of one another. The reader can't help but start to laugh out loud at all the embarrassing moments that the characters face. Waiting for the next novel in the series now seems like a full-time job.

"In the cards Love", Anna has a crush on a guy that used to be a geek. Declan Kelso used to be a total nerd. He would wear his glasses all side ways, then he would put his pants all the way to the top of his waist. Now that everyone came back from summer vacation, Declan Kelso gave a surprise to all the ladies on the very first day of school. Since all the girls are all over Declan, Anna has to find out a way to get him to ask her out. Will Anna accommplish this or will she live as a pretty geek for the rest of the school year.

My text-to-self connection would have to be That when I was in Six grade I liked this guy so much. Truth is though I never got to talk to him or even at least be friends. Just like Anna the guy thought that I was a nobody. This is my text-to-self connection between me and Anna.

I really liked this book. I actually gave this book 4 stars. And the reason why is because It reminds me about my crush in sixth grade. And I actually really liked that particular moment. The second reason is because I really liked the cards theme. It makes the book mysterious. My third reason is because if you read and look at the cover carefully, you can see that part of the book has friendship in it. And finally my last reason is that I love books that are romantic and at the same time kind of funny with a lot of inside thinking. The person who I would recommend this book to is a person who like mysterious and romantic type books

I read this when I was 14. And you know what, it sickenly bored me to death and I was dozing off the whole time!

It's just about a 13 year old girl named Anna. She lives in an apartment and her neighbor is an elderly lady named Mrs. Rosemont. She passes away and leaves Anna a deck of tarot cards that you can ask a question and they will show you the future. Anna asks if she will be with Declan, a guy she likes. The cards say she will. At first Anna doesn't believe it, but when Declan starts paying more attention to her, Anna starts to wonder if the cards could be right. Anna also starts to wonder if she read the cards incorrectly when things start going wrong.

Stupid Girl Anna depends on the tarot cards of the possible outcomes of her love life. Also "assuming" so much on Declan's feelings, and then in the end her emotions were left like a rotting wheat of cream.

Freaking annoying. 1 star for author's effort.

Standard teen story of a shy girl who doesn't think she'll ever be noticed by the guy she likes, until she does a tarot card reading that indicates otherwise. But her success in love temporarily has her neglecting her friends, until she comes to her senses, and realizes what is truly important.
Comes with the usual cast of supporting players - the goth best friend and the shy best friend, the nasty popular girl, and the boy everyone is interested in. Because of the tarot card angle, there is some discussion about fate vs. free will, which elevates it slightly above your usual teen romance.
For teen girls only.

This is the story of Anna whose elderly neighbor dies and leaves her a cat and a deck of Tarot cards. Anna has a crush on the hottest boy in school and wants to know if there is a chance for them to get together. This is a great story that realistically portrays what it's like to not be with the "cool" kids. It frankly discusses bullying and what students, and school staff, can and should do about it. Anna struggles to maintain her friendship with Eve and Syd, her own identity, and her relationships with her divorced parents and younger brother. This was a really good story, if a somewhat easy read.

Despite the fact that I am not a big "chick lit" fan, I enjoyed this book a lot. I thought the voice of the main character, Anna, was true to life and that she accurately expressed the angst of an 8th grader going through her first crush and the struggles of coping with cliques. She ended up making good decisions and learned valuable lessons about friendship and priorities. The scene with her dressed up as the Thanksgiving "Tammy Turkey" was funny.

This book is what got me so invested into tarot cards. Every girl wants to fall in love- or know what it's like to be loved exceptionally and spectacularly. When you could make a wish for it to maybe hurry up a littl bit- would you wish for love?

I like this book. I hate some of the choices she makes based on the cards, but middle school girls aren't always known for their logic. I love when she decides to be who she really is, and she stand up for Nelson. I enjoy the girls' friendship and the learning that takes place.

It wasn't the best written, but it had a good story and I can't wait to find the second one of this series. I would definitely recommend it.
