A grumpy cyborg weapons master collides with a feisty mechanic from Earth who turns his ordered existence upside down.
Abducted from her exploration ship and enslaved on a desert world, mechanic Bellamy Walsh has fought for her survival. She’s had to fight for everything in her life, and she doesn’t ever expect things to be easy. After being rescued by the tough, deadly cyborgs of the House of Rone, she is shocked to find herself drawn to a grumpy beast of a cyborg. A genius weapons master who prefers his solitude. A man with scars of his own. A man whose brawny arms are the only thing that chase away Bellamy’s nightmares.
Maxon Shaye likes to be left alone to work. He doesn’t mind his fellow cyborg brethren, but he finds people annoying and chaotic. He’s disconcerted by his growing need to keep Bellamy Walsh safe, and thinks she’s irritating and brash. The woman keeps invading his workshop, getting in his space, and…the even more infuriating thing is that he’s actually starting to like her there. What he doesn’t like is her burning need to throw herself back into danger.
Bellamy is determined to help bring down her captors—the metal-scavenging Edull and their deadly desert battle arena—and that makes her a target. She knows too much and the Edull will stop at nothing to silence her. Maxon will do anything to keep her safe, even if that means threatening the growing bond between them. But in order to destroy the Edull’s arena once and for, Maxon and Bellamy will put everything on the line—their desire, their love, their lives.

I’m a USA Today bestselling romance author who’s passionate about fast-paced, emotion-filled romantic suspense and science-fiction romance. I love writing about people overcoming unbeatable odds and achieving seemingly impossible goals. I like to believe it’s possible for all of us to do the same.
I love hearing from readers and you can find me on Facebook, Instagram and my website: www.annahackett.com
Life as a gladiator is portrayed as incredibly dark and perilous, where every moment is shadowed by deception and hidden agendas but they will do anything for the one that has brought them back to life.
With intense action sequences, and the raw emotions of frustration, pain, and suffering, all interspersed with moments of unexpected romance.
Weapons Master (Galactic Gladiators: House of Rone #6) is a captivating sci-fi universe that masterfully weaves together an array of compelling elements. The narrative includes a diverse cast of bizarre creatures, skilled gladiators, kidnapped humans and harrowing trials that put characters to the ultimate test.
The multi-perspective storytelling is a significant strength of this narrative, allowing readers to explore the inner thoughts and feelings of various characters. This depth enriches the overall experience, creating a more immersive and well-rounded story.
If you are in search of a gripping read that offers a blend of excitement and emotional depth, I highly recommend diving into this book.
Weapons Master is the final book in the Galactic Gladiators House of Rone series by Anna Hackett. It’s another great read that completes the overall story ARC in the series and delivers a sweet HEA.
Mechanic Bellamy Wash was kidnapped and sold to the Edull. She was forced to work and fight in the Battle Ring. When she is rescued by a grumpy weapons master and given her freedom she finds it hard to adjust.
I eagerly awaited this final novel. I loved Maxon from the moment he was introduced in the series. Who wouldn't love a recluse grumpy weapons master built like a god. Maxon hides his soft-side. He was hurt in the past and refuses to let anyone get close, until Bellamy. Maxon is everything I adore as an alpha hero.
Bellamy is everything Maxon needs to break out of his shell. She's smart, snarky, determined, and wasn’t afraid to stand up to Maxon or tease him. She pushes him to embrace his feelings and live.
These two are a perfect couple. They had a great partnership that was both romantic and work related. I adored their romance.
I love Hackett’s Sci-Fi Romance novels. I’m never disappointed when I pick up Hackett. She delivers a complete adventure with fabulous characters and heartwarming romance.
The House of Rone series does need to be read in order.
‘Weapons Master’ is quite a ride; think of an amusement park ride hat takes you through a mish-mash of action-adventure classic films and tv series and you’d have Anna Hackett’s Galactic Gladiators in a nutshell.
As someone who’s been held as a slave by some slave-traders, Bellamy’s stubborn, never-say-die, take-the-alien-by-its-horns attitude is enjoyable to read about—paired with the grumpy weapons master Maxon from the Cyborg House of Rone…let’s just say it’s a pairing that Hackett has done pretty well with.
I’m accustomed to Hackett’s style by now and sometimes the pairings do blur into each other given the similarities found in each book. There’s that very familiar tinge of instant love, some campy erotica and well, a huge ton of things going wrong before they miraculously turn right at the end. As a result, I found myself enjoying a little more the expansion of the world-building and the group-dynamic scenes that I’d probably underrated until now (my bad).
Still, Bellamy and Maxon are rather memorable (it’s been a while since I’ve gone back to the Gladiators camp, so maybe it’s the reason why this is also such a breath of fresh air) and in a world that’s struggling to lift itself off its feet, this was a very-much needed chance of escapism.
This book sadly brings to a close the Cyborgs of the House of Roan arc that has so engaged many a reader. I've been thoroughly entertained by all the Gladiators in these thrilling stories and the women who find safety in their arms. The author has already stated that grumpy meets feisty in this story and honestly I could not have put it any better myself. I'm loathe to give too much away because yet again this book highlights the devastation that the truly vile Edull cause. What I can say is if it's action and heart stopping emotion that draws you then you are in for a fabulous time. If you need pulsating passion then prepare to need a cold shower ! What can I say ? This book was a fun read and I love the way the women in this series triumph against adversity. I am a little sad to leave the Cyborgs of Roan behind but things are definitely not over for the humans who find their way to Carthago because I can very happily state that a new character is introduced and I'm very excited to discover more. This voluntary take is of an advanced copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
UPDATE: This was a second read of WEAPONS MASTER for me (and the completion of the series). WEAPONS MASTER successfully pulls together the characters from the previous books as well as completing the story of MCs Maxon and Bellamy. I felt the conclusion for the House of Rone series was well done. I did dock 1 Star from my rating for what I couldn’t help but think was an over abundance of “sexy times” - the settings and action scenes were so captivating that I began to become annoyed each time yet another Bellamy/Maxon intimacy scene intruded into the story. Grrr. So -
MY RATING GUIDE: 4 Stars of Fun and Crazy Adventures rounded down to 3 Stars (because of my annoyance factor). 1= dnf/What was that?; 2= Nope, not for me; 3= THIS WAS CUTE/OKAY; 3.5= I enjoyed it; 4= I LIKED THIS A LOT!; 5= I Loved it, it was great! (I seldom give 5 Stars).
ORIGINAL POST: WEAPON’S MASTER/#6 was fun conclusion to The House of Rone series by Anna Hackett. I recommend WM and The House of Rone series to readers who enjoy fast moving Space Operas, fantasy based action/adventure, gladiator fiction, romance suspense novels, the 2nd Chances trope, HEAs, and are okay with a good does of sexy-steam. I truly enjoyed this Space Opera series but readers who prefer Clean material SHOULD LOOK ELSEWHERE (Reader Cautions* noted below).
WEAPONS MASTER is an action-packed Space Opera Romance with a 2nd Chances theme. The 2 main characters are both fighters with difficult and even tragic pasts. When they come together, they finally discover healing, a place of acceptance, and true love. :D WEAPONS MASTER pulls in characters from each of the previous Rone series as well as characters from the previous Galactic Gladiator series so we get an up-date on their lives.
PRELUDE: For years an alien race, the Thraxians, have been capturing humanoid species in space and selling them as slaves for profit. Prior to the beginning of Sentinel, book #1 in House of Rone, Helios, an earth exploration ship, was attacked during flight by the Thraxians. The survivors were taken and sold individually to slavers on the desolate planet of Carthago (very far from earth) where they then became scattered among the population of Carthago and have been suffering either as abused slaves, arena bait, as actual “lab rats” or live “organ donors” for their various sadistic owners. But a group of focused, powerful and wealthy cyborg residents, known as the House of Rone, hate slavers in general (most once having been slaves themselves), and particularly the cruel Edull. Since first discovering the predicament of the Helios survivors (in Sentinel, #1), the House of Rone cyborg warriors have been making a concentrated effort to locate and rescue all surviving humans from the original space attack and abduction (a mere handful). Bellamy, the only remaining survivor, was last seen in Guard/#5 and still requires rescuing.
MAXON/MMC is a cyborg from the House of Rone. As an intuitive, grumpy yet genius weapons master, Maxon contributes to the House of Rone by continuously creating and designing the highest quality of weapons for fighting and defense. BELLAMY/FMC had been a mechanic on the earth ship Helios. For nearly a year since her abduction, as a slave the Edull have had Bellamy repairing and building robots and attack engines for their Arena of Death in their largest, hidden city, Bari Batu. At the end of the last book, Cyborg Guard/#5, Bellamy was nearly rescued from the Edull, but torn away at the last moment. Angered by this escape attempt, the Edull now plan to punish her. Will help arrive soon enough? And if so, can the House of Rone succeed in entirely obligating Edull’s sadistic entertainment business of processing, maiming, and slaughtering defenseless slaves?
WEAPONS MASTER read quickly, bursting with action and adventure with fantastic elements requiring an open mind (think fantasy fiction). The romance stewed and sizzled throughout while the intensity continually increased toward a much deserved conclusion to this series finale. The House of Rone series contains 6 books (Oct. 2020). The author recommends reading the books in order. WEAPON’S MASTER/#6 could possibly be read as a standalone novel (no cliffhangers) but the overall story arc, and the interweaving 2ndary character interactions would be missed - thus less enjoyment. Anna Hackett’s Galactic Gladiators Series precedes The House of Rone in order. I plan to complete that series next, as I wasn’t originally aware the series overlapped when I begun reading.
*Reader Cautions - Violence - Assassins, hand-to-hand fighting, w brutal antagonists yet the story manages to avoid becoming too dark - similar PG-13 Fantasy/Sci-fi movies. Profanity - Yes. Strong language used. Sexual situations - Yes. Steamy On-scene intimacy between the 2 main characters occurs frequently (a lot) as their relationship develops.
*Not recommended to those who prefer Clean fiction or YA readers.
The finale for Galactic Gladiators! A very enjoyable read and I highly recommend this book. Maxon and Bellamy make a great team and finally end the Edull's reign of terror. Plus, lots of hot sex and grand adventures.
Series: Galactic Gladiators: House of Rone #6 Rating:5 stars - I loved it!
Mechanic Bellamy Wash was kidnapped and sold by alien slavers. Now she fights for her survival against the Edull and their Battle Ring. When she is rescued by the grumpy weapons master she struggles to adjust to her freedom. One thing that will help is bringing down the Edull and their terrible arena.
“I’m the weapons master here.” “You’re the grump master.”
I have eagerly been waiting for this book since Maxon was first introduced. I loved the idea of a grumpy cyborg who creates amazing weapons. I am very glad to say this book did not disappoint. Maxon Shaye was a grumpy, annoying, and protective cyborg who has been hiding his softer side. He was hurt in his past and refuses to let anyone close, until Bellamy. I adored Maxon. He was everything I look for in a hero.
“Love doesn’t need to be flashy and loud. It can be quiet and solid...Love is fierce and strong, soft and gentle...And I’m seeing it can also be a little grumpy and bossy.”
Bellamy was just the woman Maxon needed. She was smart, snarky, determined, and wasn’t afraid to stand up to Maxon or tease him. She pushes him to embrace his feelings and truly live. I loved her determination to embrace what life throws at you and to roll with it. It has definitely made her a strong woman and she embraces happiness when she can find it. She doesn’t wallow in the past all the time or the “what ifs” of life. I really love that in a character and try to embrace it myself because it is a good thing to learn.
“What ifs are fucking useless. We have to make the most of whatever life throws at us. Move forward.”
These two were just the perfect couple to me. They had a great partnership that was both romantic and work related. Bellamy could easily see things that Maxon was missing during his weapons building or help him work out an idea. I love when characters connect like this. This type of supportive relationship always makes me extremely happy and I feel it makes the romance better too.
In preparation for this book, I have spent the last two weeks rereading both the Galactic Gladiators and the House of Rone series. This is one of my favorite alien worlds to visit and I am sad that this book is the last in the House of Rone series. But this book was amazing and a great way to end the series. I look forward to what is going to come out next, especially since it might be in the same world.
WEAPONS MASTER brings us the conclusion of the House of Rone series and it was nice to see all the cyborgs in love and all the humans rescued from the Edull. I loved Bellamy's resilience and her fire; she's a strong woman who has been through a lot, even before she was kidnapped by aliens. She sees Maxon for who he really is under his gruff and growly demeanor and Bellamy finds a way to get past his hard outer shell. Together these two begin to heal and find someone they can be at peace with. While I liked the story and the characters, my lower rating is mostly because the books in this series were getting pretty repetitive in overall feel.
This is the final book in the House of Rone series, and it’s a doozy of an ending. While the final book in a series is NEVER a good place to start, this is a GREAT place to finish!
The House of Rone, with their allies in the House of Galen, have finally managed to lock down the whereabouts of the illegal arena being operated by the sand-sucking Edull. The Edull don’t literally suck sand, but they do make the Tusken Raiders of Star Wars seem as cuddly in comparison. The Edull are tinkerers and engineers, actually rather like the Jawa. But the Edull have turned their engineering talents into the creation of weapons of mass destruction, and they hone their skills making battle-bots that seem to be as lethal to their riders as they are to any enemies.
As this story opens, the last refugee from the ship Helios has been rescued and brought to the House of Rone for healing, because that’s where most of the Helios survivors have wound up. But the healing Bellamy needs is to fight back and face her former captors – no matter how dangerous it might be.
No matter how much Maxon, the House of Rone’s genius weapons master, wants her to stay safe back in the city. Even if he can’t figure out why he’s so protective of this one, particular, and particularly annoying human.
It’s not so much a beauty and the beast romance as it is a grumpy vs. snarky romance. Maxon wants life to go back to the way things used to be, before all these humans invaded the peace of the House of Rone and brought all of the cyborgs back to life. He doesn’t want to feel all of the emotions his cybernetics have suppressed. Because they hurt.
Bellamy pulls Maxon out of his self-imposed isolation. He manages to both make her feel safe and to understand the restlessness inside her that requires payback and closure – not that he ever got any for the wrongs that led him to the House of Rone.
But their shared interest in and genius for engineering and weapons creation leads to a whole lot of emotions that neither expected to feel again.
And to the deadly, shattering conclusion to this kick-ass series.
Escape Rating A-:Weapons Master is a fitting wrap up to this marvelous epic science fiction romance series. It manages to both close out this particular subset of the Galactic Gladiators series, finish rescuing all of the refugees from the Terran ship Helios, set all of the cyborgs in the House of Rone on their way to their well-earned happy ever afters AND provide just a teasing hint of what might happen next in the space lanes around Carthago.
It’s been a wild ride so far, from the rocky beginning – for the survivors – when that errant wormhole opened up near Jupiter and spit out a whole horde of Thraxian ships intent on taking prisoners back to their home base in far, far away Carthago – as slaves for the Kor Magna Arena. Or for whomever is willing to buy.
The wormhole closed behind them when they reached Carthago space. It’s a one-way trip.
Both the House of Galen, the heroes of the original Galactic Gladiators series, and the House of Rone have spent blood, sweat and tears, as well as time, money and expertise, to rescue every single one of the Terrans who were brought to Carthago. Or at least, they’ve rescued every single one they even have a hint about.
One of the beauties of this series is that it’s all too easy to imagine that in addition to Jupiter Station and the ship Helios, the Thraxians or some other bunch of intergalactic low-lifes might have brought other groups back that the gladiators don’t know about – yet.
I have it on good authority (Thanks, Anna!) that we’ll be back to visit this part of the galaxy sometime next year. And I’m definitely looking forward to that return trip!
This is a fantastic story! Bellamy has been held as a prisoner by the Edull (a slaver-race) for a long time. She was almost freed a short time earlier, but they recaptured her. Maxon fought by her side on that day, and watched her get recaptured. He has been worried about her ever since, and is persistent in trying to find her again. The House of Rone has finally gotten some new information and think they may know where she is, so they mount a rescue attempt and finally succeed. Maxon is the Weapons Master for the House of Rone, and is gruff and refuses to tolerate fools. He’d rather be inventing a new weapon. Bellamy isn’t bothered by his gruff attitude, and Maxon doesn’t treat her like she’s fragile, and they both appreciate those qualities in the other, especially after the things each has suffered at the hands of others.
This story is difficult to put down once you start reading. It has a lot of action, some tough situations, a few near-death experiences, some kidnapping, lots of escaping prisoners, and some death and destruction—all the things one expects in an Anna Hackett book set in the world of Carthago. There is a lot of tension, and the pace is rapid, so consider yourself warned. It’s a fast read of a few hours, so leave some time free to finish this book in one sitting. This is the final book in the House of Rone series, but there may be more stories from this author set in the far reaches of outer space... This reader can hardly wait!
Maxon is the last of the cyborg gladiators to remain single. Weapons master extraordinaire, he is part of the House of Rone on Carthago. Bellamy is the last of the lost humans taken as slaves. The evils Edull have captured her, putting her mechanics skills to work. In the last battle between the cyborgs and the Edull, Bellamy, who helped some of the other humans escape, is recaptured, and the Edull are not happy with her. Maxon found Bellamy fascinating, and he is determined to rescue her, and put an end to the evil slave ways of the Edull race, but he and Bellamy are fighting a race against time... Another exciting installment in the Galactic Gladiators series, series to an end. Both the house of Galen gladiators, and the ones from the House of Rone have found their human mates, and all of the humans who ended up on Carthago have been rescued. The evil-doers responsible are found and punished, and we are also gifted with a happy ending. In true Anna fashion, we are treated to a lovely epilogue featuring our favourite gladiators, and a peak into their lives. An enjoyable finish to the series, and a little introduction to what looks to be an intriguing future series! Recommended for fans of sci fi romance, and aliens! This is not a stand alone story, it is part of an ongoing series and background story, so I recommend you read them in order.
It's time for grumpy Maxon and determined Bellamy to do their thing. He's gloriously anti-social, talented at crafted weapons, and not looking to get involved in ANYTHING that involves interacting with others. She's one of the abducted Earth women who's been making trouble for the Edull while trying to figure out a way to escape their clutches.
For all Maxon doesn't want to get involved, he's been drawn to Bellamy since he first laid eyes on her. When she fell back into the hands of her captors, he was driven to rescue her. And once she was safe? Well, he's still protective and grumpy and somehow that's exactly what Bellamy needs.
Well, she needs a protective, scowly weapons master AND to exact revenge on those who held her captive. The lady has STYLE when it comes to wholesale destruction, btw. She's good at causing messes. Especially when she has the right tools at hand and allies at her back.
I've been loving these books since we were first introduced to Carthago and the gladiators who worked to help others behind the scenes. This arc might have ended (gloriously, might I add), but it looks like there's more in store with the introduction of one hunky king. I CAN'T WAIT!
Bellamy, the last of the women from the Helios that had been imprisoned by the Edel. Beaten, bruised but not defeated. She almost made it to freedom when the House of Rone came to rescue her and another from the horrors of captivity. While the others made it out she did not she did however meet Maxon. She was immediately I trigger by him and his ability to fight She left him with a parting kiss that he could not get out of his mind. Maxon is the weapons master of the House of Rone stoic, grumpy and on so wonderful! When he finally rescued Bellamy he found himself completely drawn to her. His curiosity, turned to attraction which turns into a passionate love. Together these two work with the House of Rone and the House of Galen to finally being down the Edul. To make sure that everything they hold dear and love will be safe and secure. As always Anna Hackett blends the right amount of action adventure and passion to create a fantastic story. Her would building is amazing and you can't help but love the characters she creates. I'm looking forward to the new series Galactic Kings !!! And the promise of seeing more of my favorite gladiators on my favorite desert planet Carthago💖💖💖💖💖 highly recommend this book and this series💖💖💖💖💖💖
Weapons Master is the sixth and final installment of The House of Rone series. Bellamy Walsh was rescued from but then was recaptured by the Edull. Maxon Shaye is the Weapons Master in the House of Rone. He is bad tempered, short tempered, grouchy and doesn’t care for, doesn’t matter who, their station, their wealth; Maxon doesn’t like anyone. In Cyborg Guard, Bellamy was rescued and fought along side Maxon but the Edull managed to separate the pair and recapture her. Maxon liked the spirit and irreverence for the short time she was with him. Taking her rescue on as a personal quest, Maxon is pushing to free Bellamy and bring down the Edull full stop.
Bellamy is done with the Edull, she wants Bari Batu destroyed and the Edull eradicated. She does every thing she can to bring that about from inside the battle arena, but being only one person, she is having little effect. The Cyborgs of the House of Rone return and free her a second time. Maxon tries to distance himself from Bellamy but we all know that the tattooed, take no prisoners Earth woman isn’t going to let go.
The House of Rone is determined to bring the Edull to Cyborg justice and Bari Batu to ruin. A new ally comes to help and the plan to destroy the illegal battle arena is put into action.
What’s next? Because I need more from this world. I have loved all the interesting and wonderful characters in Carthago, this gladiator world created by this author. From the first book to this last book, I have just simply enjoyed the ride and celebrated when these strong, smart women have overcome adversity and slavery, with these supportive and amazing men by their sides. I have loved the partnership that these books showcase- the female and male characters support each other equally and they rise above their challenges and obstacles.
In this book, the Weapons Master, Maxon , meets his match in Bellamy, the final Earth woman who was kidnapped into slavery. Together, they try to figure out a way to stop the evil aliens from continuing to exploit and inevitably murder many innocent people. The two characters are smart and strong and really likable even when grumpy. They have difficult pasts but find solace in each other and a family in this land of gladiators and cyborgs. I also loved how this book brought so many characters from this series and the prior series together- revisiting old friends was such a true pleasure. And we meet new friends that will be part of a new series. So there is hope because I’m not ready to leave this world for good!!
“Weapons Master” is a phenomenal story-line with a cloudburst of emotions, hair-raising action, bated breath suspense, quick wit banter, life-threatening issues, and molten-passionate romance. Gladiators, Cyborgs, earth women and more are superheroes on the planet Carthago. A thrilling unputdownable read and I still craved more at the superb happy forever.
Maxon is a genius weapons master of the House Of Rone. He’s a cranky hot cyborg who doesn’t like anyone in his workshop. The barbaric Endull enslaved Bellamy a bold, intelligent beauty. Being rescued by the House Of Rone gives her hope of a new life. Maxon and Bellamy have distressing pasts. The endgame is to destroy the barbaric Endull who prey on those who can’t defend themselves. Bellamy has Maxon in a tailspin and protecting her becomes his priority. Together they face the horrific danger to reach their happy forever.
Enthralling well-written read with admirable characters and powerful, vivid scene descriptions. Maxon and Bellamy are a perfect match and their romance is genuine. Bellamy’s courage shines in this read. The author shows how compromise and letting go of the past are pivotal in a relationship. Introducing a new alpha male promises another intriguing story on the horizon. Relishing this read, I voluntarily reviewed a pre-release copy via the author.
I really don't think Anna Hackett knows how to right a bad book. She has a way of story telling and world building that just grabs you and doesn't let go even after the book is over. Her stories are so full of adventure and excitement that you are sorry when them end. This is the last book in the House of Rone series that is also part of the Galactic Gladiators. I am definitely sorry to see those delightful cyborgs go but can't with to see where she takes us next. Another House was introduced to us as well as another character that isn't part of the gladiators at all, so it's hard to say which way she direction she will go but oh it will be fantastic! Maxon and Bellamy's story is such a great one and is about learning that it's OK to trust someone and you just might find your soul mate on the journey. This book, as usual, has everything that you could want; comedy, action, drama, conflict, intrigue and of course hot, hot romance (it is Anna Hackett after all). You will be sorry if you miss this book as well as another other that she has written. I received an advanced readers copy of this book and have volunteered to give an honest review.
Maxon, like all the best kinda heroes, is grumpy. But the grumpiness hides a heart of gold that he doesn't want to admit to having. He cares about his fellow cyborgs, their mates and children, and even the other humans who have found their way to Carthago.
Bellamy got under his skin in a moment and he won't rest till she is back under House of Rone's roof, safe and sound. Bellamy is not an angel of perfection. She can grump with the best of them and she has more shard edges than smooth curves. Being a slave to the Edull can do that to a girl. But she will embrace all those edges to put down the Edull once and for all. But can she do it without losing her heart to Maxon on the way?
Maxon and Bellamy are ideal partners and they both have passed they'd like to forget. Bellamy takes no crap from anyone, she even takes on rich idiots who have the audacity to look down on Maxon, even though they are the ones who left him behind. There are a couple of intriguing allies we haven't really met before and I am soooooo intrigued by them. Warrior Kings from Space for the Win! Gladiators with green cloaks - ooooooooooooooooh
Bellamy was once again living the Edull's nightmare, but it wouldn't be for long, because her big, surly and resourceful cyborg was going to take care of them. That, she was hoping for. The monsters were scary, but the Gladiators’ force was more powerful! Bellamy and Maxson, intense, stubborn and highly skilled, were struggling with powerful feelings and emotions that had molded them. Their supposed loved ones had rejected and let them down so, trust had not been their strength but now they had a second chance, together. I liked Bellamy’s strong character, how she liked to tease Maxson, their amusing banter and the heated passion. The grumpy and bossy Maxson didn’t has a chance to outwit the fierce and fearless woman! Action-packed story with all the gladiators aboard, adventure, suspense, interesting twists, drama, strong emotions, violence, machines that seemed to never end, romance, passion and a lovely HEA. Voluntarily reviewed this interesting and entertaining story that I enjoyed.
Maxon only met Bellamy briefly before she was recaptured by the Edull, but he can’t get her out of his mind. When they find out she has been sold to a man who uses slaves as fodder for his pets, they rush to the rescue but find the place on fire. Bellamy had fought with a couple guards and got her hands on a flamethrower... she was happy to see the cyborg again and after a short fight, they leave victorious. There is a failed kidnapping attempt, and she starts to get through Maxon’s gruff manner. They have a map supplied by Seren and Xias and a plan to gain tickets via a visting king from a nearby planet.. They have to disable magnets supporting the illegal race track .. Maxon had some hidden in his belt and they blow it up.. cue the fireworks! Another baby boy is born, and another one is on the way. The king returns to his planet... they have a war going on... Magnus and Galen pledge to aid him if he requests it. I loved the characters and storyline. Bellamy is my favourite. I am sorry that this series is over. But there is more fun to come! Galactic Kings!

Here, I think is the final instalment of the Galactic Gladiators. We meet raw ever grumpy Maxon the weapons master who is obsessed with getting another Earth woman out of the brutal hands of the Edull and to the safety of the House of Rone where her friends are living happily with their mates. In the previous book, Bellamy, the female protagonist, had met Maxon briefly, only to be snatched away by the Edull. Maxon immediately feels a connection and in t his book his obsession to rescue her is second only to her obsession to destroying the Edull's brutal arena. A fabulous read. A grumpy anti social cyborg meets his match with Bellamy, a strong, fearless and practical engineer with some sexy tattoos. How c a b he resist her. Maxon tries but who can resist the resourceful Bellamy. What a fun read. Loved it from start to end. Thrilling Read!!
I have loved all these books from the very first one. The cyborg series wasn't just about finding and saving the captured women of earth. It was about accepting that even though they are cyborgs they too have feelings. That they are not a bunch of unfeeling machines. This book was the conclusion about the Edull, a race of aliens that enslaved and forced them to fight in underground battles to the death in various battle bots. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the downfall. I always liked the characters in these books, the women that are fierce, strong willed, and determined to live. The men or cyborgs in this case that are equally strong, protective and willing to save others. These characters are not faultless, they do mess up from time to time which makes them feel like a well rounded character. Overall a nice easy read with a happy ending. I look forward the the next series in this world.
Last book in this series but this was season two we met king overload Rhain at about 60% in this book his series is next and I'm sure gladiators will be called to help.that the thing about aliens and spaceship to off worlds, you can have other planets series but link them to the same world and people.I like this author loved Norcross series and team 52 (they all link) and I love supernatural but not a fan of aliens and there plant.or living in space.(not sure why I just don't enjoy them much) so that might be why lower rating from me,but to be far this series was a repeat of last but add cyborgs, when you get into characters it's sad when it ends so this can be good because we still see them in this series adding more but for me sometimes I felt it was already played out.The ending was good classy and not rushed to be the end and no 6 month or 10 years later.just hits of a new series with king overload Rhain
Maxon and Bellamy are both master craftsmen of weapons and both know the pain of not being loved by those who should love you most. Maxon is determined to see her freed from the Edull once and for all and to ignore his desire for her. For so long, Bellamy had only her herself to depend on. She's grateful to the House of Rone and her fellow Earth kinswomen who never stopped looking for her. She also know the surly, sexy weapons master is too delectable to pass up and she won't let his bad attitude keep her from what she wants most, him. Maxon discovers cyborg or not he's built to love - Bellamy. Together they'll fight to destroy the Edull once and for all and for each other. Like the other books in this series there's plenty of sexy time and Maxon is a machine in bed. I'm pleased to see there's a spinoff series.
Amazing story about the weapon master and his human
Maxon has been obscess with Bellamy since he first saw her. At the battery arena Bellamy did repair work on the battle bots for her slave masters, the Endul. She was rescued and wants to destroy the battle arena. Will she, Maxon, and other do it?
The characters are grumpy, intriguing, and wanting revenge on the slavers. This action drama is fast paced with a twist. I like the characters and the continuation from the other books in the series. I specially loved the path that it doesn't end with this l latest book. I am so looking forward to the next series titled Galatic Kings.
