Writers, man. They have overactive imaginations and are slightly manic with a deadline looming. Not that I'd know from personal experience or anything.

Anywho. Teddy certainly has the manic thing going once she settles into her writing groove. Good th

Team 52 is on the job again. This time, it's in the jungle with Dr. January Jones. And who's the guy who's smitten with her? Seth. He's fighting the smite, mind you, but the guy is definitely smitten.

I mean, sure, they poke at each other like crazy a

I wasn't sure what to think when I saw Victoria Peres's book was up next. I mean, the lady is intimidating. Insanely focused and completely dedicated to making sure she gives her all to every case that crosses her desk. Which is understandable seeing ...more

I kinda feel like I say this every book in this series, but it's so true I can't stop myself. THINGS ARE HAPPENING. THINGS! The survivors are learning more about the vague Gizzida plot they uncovered in previous books and THINGS LOOK BAD.

Not terrible

Devlin and Taylor are up this time and...well, things start on a slightly sexy note. Not that being force to mate at the whims of the Gizzida is sexy. But their capture forces Devlin and Taylor to face that there might be more simmering between them ...more

A short story that takes us back to Lacey and Jack involving dead bodies (when DON'T they stumble over dead things, though) and a small town. I have to say I like those two. After everything they went through, they're tighter than ever. A little nerv ...more

Patricia Briggs
“MS. THOMPSON, it said in heavy block letters, PLEASE KEEP YOUR FELINE OFF MY PROPERTY. IF I SEE IT AGAIN, I WILL EAT IT.”
Patricia Briggs, Moon Called

Alan Bradley
“I brought to mind the image of the stranger lying there in the first light of dawn: the slight growth of whiskers on his chin, strands of his red hair shifting gently on the faint stirrings of the morning breeze, the pallor, the extended legs, the quivering fingers, that last, sucking breath. And that word, blown into my face ... "Vale."

The thrill of it all!

Yes," I said, "it was devastating.”
Alan Bradley, The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie

Carrie Ryan
“But then I'm distracted by movement in the Forest, a glimpse of red at the edge of my vision. She's no longer running, no longer even walking or standing, but crawling now. Dragging her broken body across the ground toward me, her fingers clawing at the dirt. Her progress is slow, unbearably so. Such that it's almost sad to see her reduced to this. Her body has used up it's stores of energy and has begun collapsing in on itself.”
Carrie Ryan (The Forest of Hands and Teeth)

Sherrilyn Kenyon
“It's easy to look at people and make quick judgments about them, their present and their past, but you'd be amazed at the pain and tears a single smile hides. What a person shows to the world is only one tiny facet of the iceberg hidden from sight. And more often then not, it's lined with cracks and scars that go all the way to the foundation of their soul.”
Sherrilyn Kenyon, Acheron

Karen Marie Moning
“One day you will kiss a man you can't breathe without, and find that breath is of little consequence.”
Karen Marie Moning, Bloodfever
