I'm so so so so so glad I could get another Rainbow Magic series from the library to read! I'm glad Rachel and Kirsty helped the music fairies because if they didn't help, then there wouldn't be any music. And I love music!

I liked this book because Jack Frost comes and the girls, Kirsti and Rachel, get to see him. I like Poppy because she plays the piano and I play the piano. I wish I were Rachel in these books.

In Poppy the Piano Fairy by Daisy Meadows, Rachel and Kirsty find out on the radio that a town near them is hosting a National Talent Competition. As they are listening, Poppy, a music fairy from Fairyland, interjects the radio station and asks for their help immediately. In Fairyland, they see that Jack Frost's goblins have created a complete mess in the music room. They escape with all of the magical instruments and Jack Frost casts a spell, so the goblins blend in once they get to their mainland. The goblins mission is to win the contest with the help of the magic instruments, but the girls will do everything they can to give the instruments back to the rightful owners and restore the normal sound of music. After some time, the girls found the goblin playing Poppy’s piano. The girls thought of a clever way to capture the goblin and restore the piano to Fairyland. I was obsessed with every Rainbow Magic book as a child and I still enjoying a book or two from time to time. I would recommend this to anyone of elementary age or who loves to escape from reality. There were no diverse characters.

Daisy Meadows and her fairies are my childhood. I collected so many in my youth, knowing all the fairies and their importance, and sticking with the two special girls who go to be a part of the magic.
Years ago I had to give my beautiful collection away, now still part of my childhood school where little girls are picking their favourite fairies and playing pretend. It's fun to hear stories from my old teachers telling me how over the years so many students have grabbed these books and fallen in love with the tales of two girls, Jack Frost and the fabulous glittering magic that is the fairies.
On Christmas last year, my sister surprised me with a boxset of these books, but cause you cannot collect these darlings as easily anymore. I was over the moon!
If anyone has a little one who needs a little magic in their life, wants to read and needs a big creation to be hooked on...it is Daisy Meadows!

Borrowed from the library by my five-year-old granddaughter. Since I hadn't read any of these previously, I read it aloud to her, and her eight-year-old brother. It's a somewhat predictable story of two girls who go to help their fairy friends to recover a stolen piano. Apparently all the rainbow magic series follow a similar plot, and there are around 200 of them in all.

Easy enough to read aloud, and a good pace although I didn't much like the inherent sexism and was concerned by the emphasis on keeping secrets. But as a book to encourage early readers (as intended) it's not a bad story.

Perhaps two-and-a-half stars would be fairer.

I enjoy the idea behind this series. The goblins trying to steal sets of seven items repeatedly does get a bit repetitive, but the idea of Jack Frost wanting to start a band is fun, and the band name is ridiculous enough to suit him well. The first story in this series wasn't particularly memorable, as it focuses more on setting up the series, but it had some funny parts, and Jack Frost's plan to get away with it (in the rhyme he tells) mixes things up enough to keep the story fresh.

I can see the appeal for the target audience of young female readers (like my daughter) but I’m disappointed that the story is not finished. They retrieved one instrument but many others to get in other books. Cash grab?
Disclaimer: this is my first entry in to this series and it was the first in the music fairy series.

The girls actually seem to be lacking in this book, as did the goblin. The tales are becoming quite mundane now.

This is the first book of seven in the "Music Fairies" series by the group of authors who go by the name Daisy Meadows. It's a fun series, especially for young girls who are starting to read chapter books. Our oldest is addicted and I am encouraging it since I am confident that these books will help her develop a love for reading! She reads them on her own and will sometimes read aloud to me. I have been reading them along with her (at first I was irritated by them, but now they amuse me and they only take about 5 minutes to read). We will discuss the plots, her favorite parts and what we think will happen later in the series. We've read through several of these series of books and our oldest is determined to read them all. I love it!

Rachel and Kristy get magically whisked to Fairy Land on a normal day. In Fairy Land they find out that Jack Frost has stolen the music fairies' 7 magical musical instruments. He's going to use them on TV on the talent competition, and everyone will find out about Fairy Land. Rachel and Kristy go back to the human world with Poppy the Piano Fairy. She helps Rachel and Kristy find the magical piano. They find it with a goblin playing on it. Rachel goes over and tells the goblin that Jack Frost wants to see him. When the goblin leaves the piano, Kristy comes out and wraps him with wire that Poppy made with magic. While the goblin is tied up, Poppy turns the piano back to Fairy Land size and she takes it back to Fairy Land.

I was not a huge fan of this book but I know young readers would love it, and this series is definitely one I would like in my future classroom. Two girls are trying to help the fairies save music before it if forever taken away. They also had many pictures and easy text to make it a great transition book for students.

This is a great book for students that like fairies. The main characters are all female and the two friends I would consider might girls, showing sacrifice and courage in the face of danger. This is probably for the younger crowd.

I liked this book because the music fairies defeated Jack Frost. because Jack Frost was mean and
selfish.and the goblins were mean and selfish too. why i didn't like it is because they were being
mean.

It was quite bizzare at times, but overall fine. It's not that I don't like it, but there were other books from this author I enjoyed more. I adore the cover tho.
