Obviously I knew I’d like this book, but it was way more informative than I thought it would be? I’m rewatching the series now in preparation for season 5 in May, and this guide clears up a lot of questions I didn’t think to ask the first time around (like the difference between sorcerers and princesses) and is just a good source of information, like seasons 1-3 at a glance. And it’s just fun—I mean, you get a guide on First Ones’ writing, what more could you ask for?

Contains spoilers for the first two seasons and the first half or so of season 3, nothing about the season finale or season 4.

(Also peep that Catradora letter at the end, like if you cried)

it starkly brought to my attention that the cartoon is supposed to be make for kids fjdklds. very cute and lowkey childish, but it had it's moments (for example, the "he likes fire!" note under Sea Hawk.)

honestly the letter to catra ("i will always miss you catra") at the end and her profile (emphasis on the broken heart and "i miss you :(" doodles) made the entire book worth it like now i'm crying

(of course i was going to read it regardless of it was for 7 year olds or not and so should you)

Perfect, amazing, spectacular, I love this so much. I can’t stop flipping the front cover. The screenshots from the show are so funny to me some of them are such bad frames, why is Adora positioned like a frog. The whole thing was very in character for Adora as well as the other characters who pitched in at the end of the book. Adora definitely wrote this it is a cannon fact. Also, I loved the letter Adora wrote to Catra. Just saying she definitely gave it to her after season 5. That is cannon because I said so. This is the most perfect book ever please read it. 1000000/5

Pros: It's an extremely cute little in-character fact book that I think kids would love to have! It's Adora's observations on her new world in the rebellion, with occasional notes from the other Princesses. It's got a lot of cute illustrations, fun doodled notes, and a generally cute voice. It's got all the info you could get from a wiki but in character voice, and with the occasional smart observation (Adora's comments on Castaspella got an uneasy 'Oooohhh' out of me) or personal details like an unsent letter from Adora to Catra.

Cons: There's no new info; if you've watched s1-2 and part of s3, you've already learned all of this. The only thing I found in there that was new was how to write in First Ones (which was neat). I understand that Tracey West might not have been working directly with Noelle Stevenson or the team to *get* any additional information, but having those little facts about family, or favorite foods, or whatever, are the life and blood of little fact books like this. I've been in a similar position (working on fact guides for shows when all I have is the actual show, no contact with the content creators) and so I get it, but with Noelle so available in general (and answering fans' questions on twitter etc) I do wish that this had a little more additional content in it. As well, it's not really set in time -- it seems to be s2/s3 but it can't be quite either, based on the Shadow Weaver pages but also having Huntara in there.

Basically: Definitely worth having if you or a kid you have is very into She-Ra, but if they're the sort of fans who have been obsessively been watching and rewatching the show, there won't be much new information here. (Even for them, though, the guide to writing in First Ones or Frosta's favorite sundae recipe might be great to have. I know as a kid who wanted to write in codes, writing in first ones' language would have been a huge plus for me.)

This was a really cute kid’s book! It’s written like a journal from the point of view of Adora, written between seasons 2 and 3 (if I remember correctly.)

(Spoiler)At this time in the series, Entrapta is currently working with the horde and Queen Angella is alive and well.(/Spoiler)

Lots of pictures and cute details in this book, including descriptions of all the different characters and places featured in the show, and little “notes” from Glimmer and the other princesses.

I took away one star because I really didn’t like the cover design - it has reversible sequins. But that is a personal preference! I think any elementary or middle school She-Ra fan would love this.

I am hoping that after this last season Dreamworks will consider releasing another book with more content for us older fans!

For the Honor of Grayskull, what cute and colourful fun!

This guide/diary/record/recap book is awash with adorable, sparkly and princessey material (concerning seasons 1-3). It's also well thought out, funny, touching and sad. Like the show, things are complicated underneath the surface.

'She-Ra and the Princesses of Power: Rebel Princess Guide' - A must for fans everywhere! It can't be just for kids!

By the by, I have seen the fifth and final season of 'She-Ra and the Princesses of Power' - today, in fact - and I can assure you that all of this is worth your time, and every penny. Beautiful.

A truly powerful series.

Final Score: 5/5

While this is written more for children, I still loved reading this. It's
a fun recap of the modern She-Ra universe (up to season 3, I think) with info on all of the key characters and places. On top of that, there's new information on some things that make this an exciting addition to any SPoP collection!

Se lee en un suspiro y aporta alguna cosita nueva, aunque me esperaba más datos interesantes y curiosos sobre la que es una de mis series favoritas. Lo mejor, la carta que hay hacia el final y la explicación del sistema de escritura.

My niece loves the show, only natural that she have the guide. This is a wonderful book to accompany the show! My niece loved having this read to her. The book details kingdoms, characters, and events. Reads like Adora’s diary/journal! Worth it for a fan of the show Shera!

Real lazy. There is no original art at all in this lore book for the show, and everything in it is just a screenshot. The sequin cover had more effort put it it than the entire book. I know this is supposed to be for children, but it's so lazily made, and children honestly deserve better.

I loved this book, you can see how Adora perceives things in her new life outside the horde. And it also gives you information, which although it does not affect the series much, is interesting to know. And not to mention Adora's never sent letter.
