Adam Hargreaves is an English author and illustrator. The son of Roger Hargreaves, he continues his father's popular Mr. Men series of children's books. Hargreaves also served as inspiration for the series. When at the age of six he asked his father "What does a tickle look like?", Roger used that question to create the first book, Mr. Tickle.

Today is my birthday and a friend of mine bought me this (as a joke.)

My “obsessive” reading hobby and book collecting means that it is rather difficult for non-readers to find books for me that I do not already own. I think they did well here to think outside the box.

This is the third Mr Men book I have read, and although I feel like the author ran out of ideas for characters when he created this one, it was still a good bit of fun. I enjoyed the ten minutes it took me to read and I enjoyed the optimism and good-will Mr Birthday tries to spread when he organises birthday parties for people.

A fun book to read today!

Mr. Birthday loves throwing birthday parties, totally makes sense right. He’s very good at it, which means he is named well. Well, he overhears people talking about another party and he doesn’t have it on his calendar. He has forgotten his own birthday. I know the feeling. As I age, it really doesn’t mean much to me any more.

Nephew thought this was a great story as it had so many of his favorite Mr. Men in it. It had everyone but Mr. Tickle. This celebrates all the characters. He gave this 5 stars. He also loves a party.

Roger Hargreaves did not write this, his son Adam Hargreaves has taken over the business. I’m not a huge fan of that, but he did well with this one and it was good. The strength is he used all the old characters.

If you have children you must get them the Mr Men books. Absolutely nothing like them in the world! I loved and knew well each and every character.

Mr Birthday holds special memories for me as I bought this for my son for his 3rd birthday, we still have it and it has my message to him in the front of the book. I'll keep it forever.

These books are so much fun to read to and with your kids and to be honest as an adult! We all had our favourite Mr Man - who was yours? I loved Mr Bump and Mr Tickle.

This one is an extra special family heirloom now that I hope my son can give to his first child one day. 5 wonderful stars.

Tonight’s family read was very interactive with Lucy singing Happy Birthday on and off, and telling us the colour of the balloons.

I feel the Hargreaves ran out of ideas for more Mr Men characters and were really stretching with this one. (Then again, maybe not, as I believe in the care bears there is a birthday bear as well). I still can’t quite count celebrating birthdays as a character trait though... Mr Event Organizer or Mr Thoughtful May have been more accurate?

Mr Birthday enjoys arranging birthday parties but worries that he’s forgotten someone's birthday.

The story was reasonable, but the ending was a bit too obvious.

I absolutely loved these Mr Men and Little Miss books. I remember getting them from my granny every week. There was so much from these simple characters, I remember filling my little bookshelf with all these books making sure I had got them all in right order. I wish I still had these books but somehow most of them got lost with many house moves or my mum gave the rest away. If I ever have kids, I will make sure they get the chance to experience these wonderful, colourful books.

I like this book better than the recent additions to the Mr. Men family: Mr. Rude, Mr. Good, Mr. Cool, etc. It's a nice story with a good "lesson" and contains a lot of your favorite Mr. Men characters. A must have for Mr. Men fans.

It was on my bookshelf, so it gets marked as read and gets a review lol. Present from my sister. Not one of the seminal Mr Men books, but very sweet and owning it makes me smile.

Mr. Birthday is the birthday party planner of Misterland, but when he keeps overhearing preparations for a birthday that he knows nothing about, he doesn't know whose birthday it could possibly be.

Mr. Birthday has his own birthday for a change and many of the Mr. Men and Little Misses attend, notably Mr. Forgetful.
