Overall, it provides a good overview for UX designers to start with, but I prefer more sophisticated methods of advertising. Each chapter ends with advertisements for courses, which makes it feel less like a book. E-books should be considered real books, and I don't see how something like this could be printed. Once again, the information is okay, but it does not feel like a book.

Як кароткае оверв’ю ў прафесіі цалкам нармальна, але гэта не сапраўдная кніга, яна не напісана з мэтай быць кнігай. Яна напісана з мэтай прадаць курсы.

Well structured and covers definitions of key UX terms; the different stages of the design process and how they are not sequential and the types of research methods including their pros and cons. The only thing that would enhance this book would be case studies but it is after all a guide that covers ‘basics’ and more detail can be found in the foundation’s courses.

There is nothing bad about this book. There is also nothing particularly ground breaking. It lives up to it's title- it is a basic guide- good for beginners but not worth reading if you know anything about design thinking.

The book provides a succinct and sufficient summary of the process- perhaps more suited to the title of a pamphlet or brochure. It touches on the important aspects and methods, but does not provide enough detail- so the reader is compelled to go off and read about the methods separately- which perhaps defeats the entire purpose.

It does not do a good job in weighing advantages vs disadvantages of the research methods, discussing only one side of the story- why they should be used. There is a lack of depth in the content and I did not learn anything new. The diagrams, however, are very clear and are widely used in industry because of their simplicity.

The book seems have been published only promote Interaction Design Foundation's online courses.

Brief Overview of UX

If you know nothing of UX but want to learn what it is, why it’s important and a few methodologies, this primer is for you. If you’re a seasoned UX professional skip it.

Greatly written book

The way the content is written and organized is perfect. I enjoyed reading it and I recommend it to anyone who would like to get some basics in User Experience Design, as the title states 😀

Very brief introduction to fields of UX Design. Really useful if you have zero experience with the field and want to have big picture. Otherwise I can't recommend to read it. Also I didn't like the fact, that it is connected with advertising for their courses.

This “book” is actually what is written on their website put into a PDF file. While informative of some basic terms, I expected to receive more in depth knowledge of the topic. On the contrary, I was greeted with ads for their courses.

Easy read for anyone to understand UX

Clear Titles supported by good and simple narratives.

Real life examples give the perception of process application as well.

Before reading anything, start with this book.

Not so much of a book, but rather a booklet. It explains briefly the basic terms of the field. If you have no experience or previous knowledge of UX, it's okay. If you do, skip it.

This book is more like a gloosery for the couses. It's very vague. As a beginner UX designer, I feel like I did not learn anything form "book" itself.

Lo que menos me gustó fue que en todo momento te venden cursos pero de ahí en fuera pienso que es una buena introducción a los distintos ámbitos que cubre el UX.

Boring and not very informative. The same information provided in this so called book is available on their web page as well. Don’t waste your time.
