The end just kind of felt a little off.

Overall, a good book and well written as always but the ending felt rushed. As I got towards the end of the book, I thought there must be a fourth book as there was no way they were wrapping everything up...but turns out they did. Apart from that, it was a good book, not the strongest of the trilogy (1st one was strongest, just) but still a good read.

I enjoyed the whole Z:2134 series. The final volume includes a LOT of carnage and mayhem, and many people are killed, but there's a satisfying end for some of the characters that gives hope for the future of the world even if nothing really changes by that point.
The origins of the zombie outbreak are explored, but only briefly; if the authors ever decide to revisit this world, they'll have plenty of room to set a story before the outbreak and detail the creation of and release of the zombie virus. (More details on that would give out some spoilers, even if it only plays a minor role in this series.)

This third series was a whole new world. By now, you know the characters like the people from your neighbourhood... You've witnessed their lives through the first two installments and you've watched them grow. Ana & Adam started off watching their father thrown into the Darwin, they've been through their own stories and now they're all grown up. Z 2136 isn't as heavy on the zombies as it's predecessors but focuses more on the other dangers in this post apocalypse... Mainly, the danger brought by humans.

I bought this before I realised it was the third book in the series. Then when I went to buy the 1st and 2nd book they were unavailable on kindle which was soooooo annoying!! Luckily, the beginning of this book has a very good ‘previously’ section which allowed me to catch up with what happened in the first 2.
This is a solid, action filled, twisty book and a good ending to the series. I liked the characters and didn’t see some of the twists coming. The previous reviews are right in describing this as a mix of The Walking Dead, 1984 and The Hunger Games.

A great ending!
Z 2136 is the final book in the Z 2134 series and it has an amazing ending! There is lots of fighting, betrayal, killing, bandits, and even some forgiveness. If you enjoyed the last two books in this series then you’ll love the final book.

I enjoyed the series and it's good to reach an ending but the ending felt a little contrived as if the authors were glad to be able to end the series.

Exciting to the end
What an amazing end to an action packed trilogy. This is the first zombie series that I've read and it was great although the ending was a bit abrupt.

I wish there was a book 4 😭 ending was rushed and felt like a book 4 could have happened. I wasn't ready for it to end ☺️

A zombie virus has ravaged the land and those who oppose the order of the state of the cities must be punished by being forced to compete in the Darwin games an extreme and deadly competition where innocent people compete against criminals and Zombies for survival in the barrens and the outback using whatever means necessary. After the events in Z 2134 and Z 2135 where Ana Lovecraft watches her father get murdered on national TV, she with her boyfriend Liam an ex city watch guard and Katrina a warrior rogue journey to City 6 to rescue her brother Adam who is forced to play in the games. Will they succeed while their enemies are secretly stalking them in the shadows? Read on and find out for yourself.
This was a pretty good post-apocalyptic zombie novel as well as my first ever novel I have read by Sean Platt and David Wright who are the hosts of the self-publishing podcast online. Having not read the other two books in this trilogy, I was able to familiarise myself with the storyline by reading the recap of the first two books that were included in this one. It was a very action-packed story with the chapters each focusing on a different character. It was originally made out as a serialised story for the Kindle too. I was so glad that I had chosen this book as one of the prizes at my local library's winter reading program. If you like action adventure post apocalyptic zombie novels, def check this book out. It is available on Amazon and wherever books are sold.

I enjoyed this book pretty well. This books is like The Hunger Games meets Zombies. The plot line is interesting although some parts of it could have been better. I liked most of the characters, I felt like some of them could have used some more development. I also liked the environment and the way it was described, it really give you a feel of the characters harsh living conditions. The writing style was also nice and descriptive, so this book would be good for readers who like more depth in books. I would recommend this book to people who like distopian game like books (Hunger games, Battle Royal, Maze Runner, etc) and zombies.

This third and last book in the Z series took a while to get me immersed and interested again, but once it did, I couldn't put the book away.
The series as a whole isn't one of my favorite Collective Inkwell stories (if you're new to Platt and Wright, start from Yesterday's Gone or WhiteSpace instead) but it does have all the elements I like in Platt and Wright's work: action, cliffhangers, characters who aren't black and white.
So, I'd say this is a solid book and a good ending for the series. Fans of Collective Inkwell and zombies will like the book.

Remember in Z2134 that the State was able to implant a chip in your head to make you believe what they wanted? I think Platt and Wright forgot that we readers don't have this chip and would never believe that bullshit ending. The rest of the story seemed the same as before but Keller? That just wasn't at all believable. I think they got tired of writing this story, realized there were too many story lines and the only way to tie it all up without writing another book was to change a character...drastically. Boo

This was the final book in the series and overall it was an enjoyable read. The ending was a little on the anti-climatic side for me, but all in all I am happy with the series. I loved that nobody was "safe" and the authors were very good about keeping you on your toes the whole time. The writing was good, not great, but then again this is a book about zombies so it is what it is. Overall 3 stars for the series.

It took me ages to get through this, it didn't flow as well as previous books. And then the ending! It reminded me of writing an essay, and realising you're over the word limit before you've started your conclusion. Before the final chapter we heard every inconsequential detail for each character POV. Then, all of a sudden, it's over. No questions asked or answered.

This installment was filled with action and jaw-dropping moments from beginning to end! Great end to this series~ Platt and Wright have done it again!

The end wasn't really an end :/ they left unanswered some of the biggest questions. It's not a total cliffhanger but... meh... expected more.
