This was a great short biography of George Handel. It is filled with funny cartoons which keep your attention. There is plenty of information without overloading you with boring facts.

Basic information about the composer, leaving out PG13 details like castrati and his soprano soloists private life. Illustrated with photos, period engravings and delightful colorful comics. Map, timeline, glossary and a quiz, although oddly, the quiz is fun further info, not a review of the short chapters. My daughter bought this whole series to use in a home school music class, playing sample of the music. The kids were spell bound by the humorous information included and delightful comic pictures.

Basic, sanitized, easy to read. I read these with my kids before introducing them to the music of great composers. They can be read very quickly. The pictures and illustrations could have been more interesting, and my kids very rarely find any of the jokes funny (most of the time they don't even understand them), but in terms of biographical info these books get the job done.
