"Good Morning Malibu, it’s another beautiful day on the west coast! I'm Noely Clark, your host: and I'm in the market for love…”

When the publicity team of the new local restaurant, Going in Blind, began their search for a hot, local celebrity to promote the wildly popular eatery, they couldn’t have found a better person than me.

Outgoing? Check.
Single? Check.
Open to finding love? Check.

I signed up immediately.

A hopeless romantic with an exceedingly demanding schedule, I've found it impossible to find the man of my dreams — so Going in Blind seems too good to be true! That’s until they start setting me up on dates — three very different, very attractive, very distinct blind dates — and only one thing is for certain...

I’m in big trouble.

Good Morning Malibu,
I'm Noely Clark, and I have a choice to make.
The question is who will I choose; the suit, the rebel, or the jock.

When I was in high school I occasionally read books but was consumed by other teenage things so I didn't take the time to appreciate a good book on a cloudy day, wrapped up in a blanket on the couch. It wasn't until I received a Kindle for Christmas one year that my world completely flipped upside down. When looking for books I came across the Contemporary Romance genre and was sold and I haven't turned back since.

You can either find my head buried in my Kindle, listening to inspiring heart ripping music or typing away on the computer twisting and turning the lives of my characters while driving my readers crazy with anticipation.

I currently reside in beautiful Colorado Springs where the sun is always shining and there is a trail waiting to be hiked on every corner. I share a lovely and warm home with the love of my life and my five, four-legged children.

I absolutely loved this book. Going into this book I was thinking a few things, 1) dating binge 2) triangles or quad-angle(ha) love story -or- 3) cheating
I got none of that, thankfully. What we do get is fun, laughs, and a lot of sexy---truckloads of sexy actually.

Noely Clark is Good Morning Malibu’s morning host. She’s tired of trying to find the right man worthy of her attention and she wants to find a man that she can give herself to for life. She is not having any luck on her own. So when introduced to a dating program, she of course has her reservations. Shes determined to be happy and find the one, so why not. She can always just quit the program, so she gives it a shot.

First up, first blind date, suppose to be your perfect match (of men registered in the program)
1. WindsorKnot also known as Jack, or better as The Suit. It was instant attraction and connection. He is Brooding, sexy, secretive, cocky, can tell he usually gets what he wants. I felt a lot of passion between the two of them during their blind date. Jack is very business minded yet he’s super sweet, romantic, loves to woo his girl, and he is a very private man

Next up, Second blind date
2. RebelWithACause also known as Beck, or better known as The Rebel. It was Instant sexual chemistry. A definite Rebel with a motorcycle that rocked the whole hot rod vibe. He’s very closed off from talk of the past. All about having fun with minimal commitment. All full of sexy, making his past something you can’t wait to get your hands on. It was the least emotional connection I felt with these characters.

Third and last blind date
3. IceBiscuit also known as Hayden, or best known as The Jock. Hayden is hot, Big muscles, a total jock in all ways. He’s got mountains of swagger, adorable, and so very patient with Noely. He’s very friendly and so caring. He’s open to talking about his past and retelling of the one that got away. A professional athlete that is kind and pleasing to all.

Three blind dates, three not so good endings yet each person she connected with in some way, felt something with each of them. However she had a stronger connection with one of them. Yet they failed. So how does she get her happily ever after?!? You definitely have to read this one to find out =))

This is a must read fun sweet book. I believe it ends perfectly and she gets the right man. The one that will complete her in all ways. I hands down recommend this read, if you love adventure, if you love fun, and you love happily ever afters, this one is for you!! I’ve enjoyed Meghan Quinn’s books in the past, but this is probably my favorite to date!! This is a stand-alone but I CAN NOT wait for the next books in this series!!

How fun was this book? Seriously, after finishing the audio book I just sighed in happiness. I spent the entire time I listened giggling, smiling, and falling in love with this story! I haven't read many Meghan Quinn books, but she is one funny lady. I can't wait to read the others in this series!

Noely Clark is a morning show host and she's looking for love. What's supposed to be an exclusive new dating set up where you get paired with blind dates that are your 'perfect match' is the route she takes. Noely ends up meeting three guys through Going in Blind. The suit, the rebel, and the jock. It was so hard to choose which guy I loved most. They were all three wonderful in their own ways. I will say, by the end, I was pulling for one specifically and I'm happy to report he got the girl ;)

Noely was a hoot. She was entertaining as can be. I also loved her bff and her brother/sister in law. They were a wonderful entourage of characters. And the guys... the chemistry she had with the suit and the rebel. Sigh. And the jock was just so freaking sweet. I loved them all.

Listening to this on audio was so much fun. I definitely recommend listening vs reading this one. Ava Erikson and Aiden Snow do a fantastic job voicing these characters. They really brought the story to life with their narration. If you're on the lookout for a new listen, I can't recommend this one enough!

There are a lot of laughs in this book but it also has so much heart. I felt for Noely and all three of the guys in different ways. I see that the other two have their own books and this excites me so much! I'll definitely be picking up those audio books as well!

She kisses me so fucking hard that I feel dizzy from lust, lust from this woman, the one who so easily captured my heart and showed me that the saying is true, your mind might be blind, but your heart never is. From the beginning, our hearts knew, we were meant for each other. It only took one date with a suit, a rebel, and a jock to figure it out.

THREE BLIND DATES is going down as my first book to be labeled ”Best of 2018”! I am convinced that there isn’t any way that a Meghan Quinn book could ever disappoint me. This story was absolute perfection from start to finish! I loved the plot, the three possible love interests and most of all I loved the Heroine, Noely Clark! She was spunky, endearingly comical, and had a huge and pure heart. She just might be my favorite Heroine created by the magnificent Meghan Quinn!

Noely Clark is a popular morning television show co-host. She’s a beautiful and vivacious young woman who is at the point in her life where she is looking for that special someone to settle down with. She sees how happy her brother and her best friend are in their marriages and now she’s been bitten by the relationship bug. Noely is going to take a chance with a new dating service called Going In Blind. She hasn’t had luck on her own and figures what does she have to lose with accepting a little help. The process intrigues her. She has to give detailed information about herself and will be set up with an online profile that will not give up her name or post an actual picture of her. The matches will be made for her based on personality compatibility. The first date will take place at a restaurant owned by the matchmaking company and if the date goes well, the daters have the option to go out on a second date which the Going In Blind team will offer possible suggestions for.

Noely ends up dating three men, the Suit, the Rebel, and the Jock. I will tell you this, it was kind of hard picking which one to love the most. Each and every time there was undeniable chemistry between Noely and her suitors. The first dates would knock any woman’s socks off but there was also always something off about each man. Like they had demons from the past that kept them from giving themselves completely to the possibility of a relationship with Noely, and she knew that too. Disheartened from the outcomes from her interactions with the three sexy men, Noely decides to put her search for love on hold.

Just when I thought I knew who was going to end up with the girl, it would seem that none of them would, until Noely gets a cryptic message from a new “Going In Blind” member. Now I am thinking how brilliant the author is for throwing this latest monkey wrench into the storyline. It wasn’t easy at all trying to figure out which man was trying to win back Noely’s heart. I know there was one I was hoping for but in the end, she does wind up with the man that was made to love her the best! The cherry on top is that the two men who didn’t get the girl in this story, will each get their own standalone novel! Color me ECSTATIC!!

Here are my overall ratings on the book:

Hero: 5
Heroine: 5++++++++
Plot: 5+++++++
Angst: 4.5
Steam: 5
Chemistry Between Hero & Heroine: 5++++++

Three Blind Dates is my first 5-star read of 2018!! I knew I was going to love this book because… hello! It’s Meghan Quinn!! ... But I couldn’t predict just how much I would love it.

Noely is the co-host of Good Morning, Malibu but is looking for more than her career to define who she is. She joins a dating service, Going in Blind, which endeavors to set her up with her perfect match. Matches are made based on emotional and personality compatibility. The first match is obviously the closest match, but if things don’t work out, the service works to find you the next best thing. And that’s how we meet The Suit, The Rebel and The Jock. All equally attractive, all with something to offer Noely, and all were hard to choose between. Noely definitely had her work cut out for her.

I don’t even want to go into how these dates worked out because that’s for you to find out when you BUY THIS BOOK!! However, I absolutely loved how much fun each character was. They all brought something to the table, but they were all charming in their own ways. I can’t wait to read their books!! Even Noely’s brother, Alex, had me rolling around holding my stomach with laughter. I could have done without the sex scene with the man who didn’t turn out to be the winner of Noely’s heart, but I get that it was necessary to feed the story.

If you’re looking for a fun-loving, heart-warming, humorous story that involves not one but THREE incredibly gorgeous men who know how to treat a woman right, then look no further. This story is unlike anything you have read before and that’s just one of the reasons why I think it’s a must-read. The man Noely ends up with is to be expected, at least in my eyes, but thankfully the author will be giving us stories for the two men who didn’t win and those will be one-clicks for me for sure!!

I'm laughing so hard at myself right now because how do you possibly review a book you've disrespected so much? You see, when I started Three Blind Dates yesterday it was already past midnight. On a school night. Hours of school during which I can't doze off because, wellllllll, I'm the teacher??? Night before the first school day of 2018, and I dived. right. in.

Alright, now I guess I do see how terrible my decision-making has been, from the very beginning. But what can I say, I do own my fucks-up, so there : this review is not brought to you by a saw-the-light, changed-her-horrendous-ways Anna. Oh, no. This review is brought to you by the unapologetic Anna who's skimmed large bunches of the book because she fucking could and who does not regret it from one second

... and still stamps a 4 stars on it because not to be cocky, but I rocked that skimming like a queen.

Okay okay what do you need to know about Three Blind Dates before diving in, you ask? Hmm. Noelie, the main character, who's obviously single, because duh, agrees to go to three blind dates through that new shiny app whose name I don't recall (I read at night, okay? God).

The Suit.
The Rebel.
The Jock.

And one of them is the One.

I know I know I know laugh your damn full, no offense taken - I'm laughing right there with you. How could it be more ridiculous right? RIGHT?

Wrong.

Because you see, as much as Noelie connects with these three men - on different levels - there is always this little something that makes their relationship-to-be stumble.

~ mild spoilers, I suppose ~

(not sure about that at all - does not qualify as spoilery to me but I'm still getting YOU'VE RUINED MY CHILDHOOD! comments on one of my reviews so I might be a bit prudent, can you blame me)

( NO, I'm not telling you who she ends up with, Jeez. )

OkaysoSuitRebelJockSomethingSomething ---But then, but then, BUT THEN, there's a mystery man, I KID YOU NOT, who starts messaging her to try and get a second chance, in a true You've Got Mail manner (and not like this horrible "retelling" I've read last year, what was it, oh, yeah, Alex, Approximately, you fucker, I still want my time back, ugh). And it was FABULOUS - I smiled, I laughed, I felt, as a friend recently put it - I escaped. Now that's what I want from my romance novels so why is it so hard to find? WHY? I mean in what possible way abusive assholes could be an escape, and no, strangling them and getting a few years in jail definitely does NOT count as an escape?? Jesus.

So what did I skim, then? Hmmmm. I'll only say this : I've been wanting for the mystery guy to be a certain someone from the moment I met him and I really couldn't care less for all the filler to get to him, soooooo... I went through a little heart-to-heart with myself, inspected my soul (I needed to be sure she was on board before committing this reading felony), looked at the clock (4 am, damn it!) and skimmed everything that didn't seem relevant.

I know, I know, I'm bad. Like, really bad and I don't deserve to be called a reviewer and no no no not the review police noooooo. I'M GUILTY BUT I HAVE A SOUL!!!! All this character development, to the trash. All these friendship moments crafted to be funny (but not so much for me, ugh, sorry), gone. I was a woman on a mission and mystery man I reached. In all honesty, I'm not even a slightly bit ashamed : I took what I wanted, what I needed from Three Blind Dates and in the end, I freaking loved it.

I was punished, though : after stopping at 70% (I suppose that as an adult - don't snort - I felt like my two remaining hours of sleep were nonnegotiable) I obviously couldn't fall asleep (yes, today was a bitch, thanks for asking). Yet what better end for a caffeine-filled, all kind of exhausting day that the last 30% of pure happiness? NO-THING.

Why, yes, I'm definitely going to start new books from Meghan Quinn. I guess I'll have to watch the clock more closely, is all.

PS. If you end not liking mystery man, god, I'm sorry, let me offer you a big cup of good taste (I KID OKAY) (DON'T HATE ME) (BUT I'M SO RARELY ROMANTIC, I'M PROTECTIVE) (YES THE ENDING WAS CHEESY AS HELL SO W H A T)

PS2. I swear I'm not writing this review to prove I have a heart.

Much.

This is the 3rd book I have tried by this author. I am sure she is great but she is just the wrong author for me. Her characters, her sense of humor and her writing style just don’t make it for me.

And I am done, I won’t try any more books from her. No sense in trying and DNF’ing it or rating it with 1 or 2 stars, right?

***********************************************

As for this book, we have a heroine who hasn’t had a good relationship with men so far and now she is trying the app of a newly opened restaurant, Going in Blind.

You create a profile and they find the best match for you. You meet your blind date in this restaurant. You got the idea, right? And if the 1st match doesn’t work, you can try a second or a third time…

***********************************************

Our heroine, Noely, goes on 3 blind dates eventually.

The first one is a businessman, she calls her The Suit. The second one is The Rebel (bad boy with a motorcycle), and the third one is The Jock (athlete).

***********************************************

Noely is attracted to her 1st DATE.

I want to know what he tastes like. What the scruff on his jaw feels like under my fingers, caressing the soft skin on my cheek. I want to tangle my fingers into his short hair, to grip tightly onto his neck, and not release him until I’m fully sated by his mouth.

They decide to go on a second date but then she makes a mistake and he ends it.

***********************************************

Disappointed and hurt, she goes on a 2nd DATE, hoping she could find a better option.

She is attracted to this second guy, as well.

He strokes my palm with his finger, running it along every line, making my insides flutter and my breathing pick up with each stroke. He’s so close, his body practically on top of mine, his breath pressed against my ear, his scruff rubbing my skin ever so gently. And me, well, see my hips? Yeah, they’re slowly gyrating in his direction. I would like to blame the margarita, or even the music, but I know that’s not the case. It’s my libido skyrocketing into dangerous territories from the way this man lightly strokes me in just the right way.

They go on a second date but then, again, this relationship also doesn’t work for some reason.

***********************************************
Then, our heroine, goes on a 3rd DATE. Relentless very much!

Of course, she is again attracted to him.

I’m at nipple level, taking in his very broad and muscular chest. Wow . Heat rises to the back of my neck, and I know it’s not the whiskey; it’s the powerful chest right in front of me, and are those... are those his pecs? They’re all defined and large and yummy and ... sigh. Curiosity pops out of me before I can stop myself, and I poke his chest. When I’m greeted with a firm bounce, I giggle to myself. “Pecs,” I mutter under my breath. Yep, yummy indeed.

They get on well but this doesn’t work as a relationship, either.

***********************************************

You get a picture of what kind of a heroine we have?

Whenever she sees someone attractive, she just drools over him and she is hell-bent on making him “the one”. So pathetic!

Noely is a famous woman. She is the host of a TVShow. I mean it is not that she cannot meet a lot of good-looking people. I just couldn’t solve the mystery of that woman, trying to find her soul mate through an app. Whatever!

***********************************************

What is worse is when things with all three of them seemed to have ended, she starts to receive messages from the app from a new account: The Mystery Man.

He says he is one of these 3 men and he has made mistakes and he wants another chance. He just doesn’t want to reveal his identity. He asks Noely who she wants him to be and she has no idea.

They continue messaging for a while and she tries to understand who he is.

Page 250 of 327:

“The Suit, The Rebel, and The Jock. If you had to choose, given they were free of all demons, who would you choose?”

I press my lips together, trying to compare them in my head, which I’m learning is an impossible feat. “I have no idea, honestly. They were different in their own way but could fit easily into my life . . . into my heart.”

See how indecisive she is… On page 250, for God's sake!

On page 270 of a book with 327 pages, I still didn’t know who she was going to end up with. I just had an idea but it kept changing. So very frustrating!

***********************************************

SAFETY:

She kisses and has oral sex with one of these guys.

She has sex with the other.

She doesn’t do anything with the third one but not because she didn’t beg for it, he just didn’t take things that far.

So decide if it is safe for you. It wasn’t for me.

Even she hated herself, so my hating her is just natural, I guess.

God, there is no excuse. I’m slut-zilla, climbing dicks like skyscrapers. Be disgusted, because I am.

***

To say I’m upset with myself is an understatement. I got caught up in the moment, in the feel of his body, in the way he made me tingle from head to toe. And I’d be lying if I denied wanting that to happen.

But now? I feel stupid. Used. Cheap.

***

He hurt me, made me feel so stupid, and yet when he claimed me, I couldn’t resist. That’s called lust, uncontrollable lust, and now, on the day after, I’m suffering with the biggest regret hangover one could ever imagine.

***********************************************

WRITING:

As for the writing, the book tends to be on the humorous side.

Noely tells the story except for 2 chapters and she makes jokes all the time. I never met a woman who is forcing herself so hard to be funny (I mean the writer forces herself to create a hilarious character but it felt too forced). She is not my kinda person, unfortunately. She is the annoying one in my book!

As for the chemistry between the characters, well, I am sorry but I didn’t feel it. She felt chemistry with all, but I didn’t feel it with any of them. It is because of the writing. When she says it was the most earth-shattering experience of her life, am I supposed to feel it? Nope, sorry. Don’t tell me. Telling is not convincing enough. Show me! I need you to show me so that I can feel it.

All in all, nothing in this book worked for me. Neither the funny side of it nor the other things.

***********************************************

Of course, not every book out there is for everyone and with this book, I have understood that this author’s books are not for me. They say third time is the charm but this is my third book from her and all of them failed for me…

I loved this book! It was a very entertaining read wherein our heroine, Noely, is looking for love and dates three completely different men: the suit, the rebel, and the jock. Each has their pros and cons. One of the three is meant for her and re-enters the picture as the mystery man.

”Yeah, I guess you’re right.” Leaning forward, he bites on his lower lip and says, “Please be gentle.”

The book has just the right balance of humor, mystery, and tension. Noely was really charming and unique to me. Though I haven’t been single in 17 years, it felt like a realistic account of the experience. She was flawed which definitely added value to the story.

”I could show up with a bleached upper lip, looking like Santa Claus with a porn stash, scaring my poor date away.”

I loved all the guys in their own way. It felt almost designed to happen that way, which was great when the Mystery Man entered the picture. There was an extra layer of conflict for me as a reader. She definitely ended up with the right guy for her, in my opinion. I can’t wait to read the story for each of the other two dates!

”He practically humped your leg from afar.”

Safety: No rape or abuse. Heroine dates 3 men, not at the same time. She is intimate to varying degrees with more than one. If you need additional detail before choosing to read please message me.

This was a sexy romantic comedy with a swoony happily ever after!
It's always such a wonderful surprise when a book that claims to be humorous actually makes you laugh out loud.
It was funny, touching, romantic and naughty with some of the best chemistry and hottest smut I've ever read. I utterly devoured it. Looking forward to the next one!

In short:
Hero 5/5 | Heroine 5/5 | Plot (Point, Originality) 5/5 | Writing Style 4/5 | Steam 4/5 | Romance 5/5 | Angst-Suspense 5/5 | Darkness 0/5 | Humor 4/5 | Secondary Characters 5/5 | Drama-Conflict 5/5 | Mystery 3/5 | Twists 4/5 | Pacing Steady | Action 3/5

This book would work better in a choose your own adventure format, where we can make the decisions for the heroine. This isn’t a why choose, she did choose, and she just chose wrong.
But it was ok and I like a love square situation once in awhile.

3.5⭐
Genre ~ romantic comedy
Series ~ Dating by Numbers #1
Setting ~ Malibu, California
Publication date ~ book ~ January 4, 2018, audio ~ April 26, 2018
Est page Count ~ 388 (p + 38 chapters + e)
Audio length ~ 11 hours 16 minutes
Narrators ~ Ava Erickson, Aiden Snow
POV ~ dual 1st, present tense
Featuring ~ characters in their late 20’s, TV host, slow burn, minimal steamage

4 part story told mostly by Noely as she goes on 3 blind dates set up via an app. What a lucky lady finding 3 hotties in quick succession. And to have a connection with each is rare.

The Suit ~ the cocky businessman who is private
The Rebel ~ the heart of gold biker who can't open up
The Jock ~ the too sweet professional athlete who is easy going

The Mystery Man was so blatantly obvious, but I liked how Noely was second guessing herself on who it was.

Side characters ~ Dylan (#bffgoals) & Alex and Lauren (bro & sil), were great.

Overall, I had a good time with this one. I can always count on Meghan for great fun, but I had to round down my 3.5 due to what went on in the dressing room. Even though late in the story I wish it would have happened even later on. Also, didn't care for what happened on the lounger. I mean I didn't hate what happened, I just wish it wasn't with who it was with and the timing of it. Can't say more without giving anything away. I could have went without the lack of communication too.

Narration notes:
Ava did a really nice job. I’ve listened to Aiden quite a few times and he does great, but we only got a little bit of him as it's mostly told by Noely.

It's been a while since I read a Meghan Quinn book. I honestly think the last one I read was Virgin Romance Novelist which was ... like three years ago!

She's a fabulous writer. And so witty and funny. I found myself smiling throughout this book. And I loved (almost) all of these heroes. She does a great job of setting up this novel, and presenting the situation in a way that kept me guessing.

Funny, unpredictable and fan-yourself-sexy - my cheeks still hurt from smiling!

Ooh, yeah! Hell, yes! This book was faaaaaaan-tastic!

description

A different concept than I've read before in a rom-com book and I found it refreshing!
This book had me laughing out loud as well as fanning myself from the steaminess.
I loved the concept of our MC going on 3 blind dates to find true love.
Contemplating which one will she choose in the end...
I must say, Ms. Quinn had me guessing for quite some time.
Well executed!

description

Looks like this will be a new series from Meghan Quinn in which we'll get to see what becomes of the remaining two blind date candidates that didn't win the MC's heart in the end. More hotness from those two fellas... hell, yeah...

This was a delight... It gave me all the feels of falling in New Love and the thrills of what it was like when it was in the first stages...Especially with the lure and addiction of Online Dating...
Because there was nothing like those first times of receiving emails from someone you hadn't met yet...The chatting and flirting....the checking to see if you had a response and then it was there...It was intoxicating... You could become drunk from it all.

Meghan Quinn hit it just right with her 2018 version of online dating.
Noely Clark is a local celebrity as the host of Good Morning Malibu. At 27, she seems to have it all: she has the house, the car and a career which gives her the ability to be herself. Her parents and brother are loving and care about her. She has a niece which rocks her world and her co-host on the show is her best friend. From any one's perspective, Noely should be very happy...

And she is...except there is something missing ...
She wants what her brother has...
She wants to have someone to come home to...
Someone who she can share her day with... and she can be there for that person...

Noely is ready to have her happily ever after...
But being a sort of celeb has its draw backs...The guys she meets are either ones who end up wanting something from her... like air time to promote whatever they are hustling or those who are thinking she is a quick score...So dating for her has been a problem.

But then she found out about this new dating thing called Going in Blind. The idea is creating a profile without your picture and the company's data source runs their program to find the exact person for you. You then decide if the match is a go...and the restaurant which is part of the company is the where the first date is done. If the chemistry is there then either party can offer to go on the second date...and the company suggests second date ideas. After that the couple is on their own to figure out what comes next.

Noely was excited and made the required tape for the site. Unfortunately, she made the tape with the TV Stations lighting, film and cameras. This allowed her ass of a producer to blackmail her into turning this private dating experience into a segment for the show.

Luckily, the company does not allow cameras or any filming so Noely will be able to have private dates but she will have to do post date discussions on the show if she wants to keep her job.

Briefly, Noely has 3 different types of dating experiences due to each man has issues which causes Noely to not go past a second date. The three men are tagged, The Suit, The Rebel and The Jock. Each man has positives which entrances Noely...but each also have things to work out.

We experience it all and share in her wonderful relationships with her family and co-workers. Noely is truly a terrific character. The men she meets are something, too...and each of them make you want to know their personal stories...

There is also a thread throughout this story which all of us can relate to... The movie You Got Mail. It causes us to be in the moment of what it was like to receive those first emails... to exchange your deepest thoughts with someone you never met in person but feel as if you could tell them anything...

Meghan Quinn takes us there and gives us mental stimulation as well as some of the sexiest times ever...She also keeps us guessing till the very end as to who Noely will end up with. Yum.

This is a funny book! I enjoyed it and I really loved Noely. She is a great heroine. I liked the hero, but he isn't the one I thought she would end up with. I won't read the next books about the 2 guys that didn't get Noely. After meeting them in this book as love interests for this h I don't want to see them as someone else's love interest. I'm weird that way😉

Three Blind Dates and three hot men… say lesssss

Plus, a “You’ve Got Mail” twist 👀.

Noely (27) is Good Morning Malibu’s morning host and finds the whole dating scene a struggle. So when the opportunity to sign up for a unique dating experience comes up, she signs up. She makes her video using company resources, and her publicist and producer decide to have her film a segment for the show, called Going in Blind, detailing her dating experience.

She dates three men: the Suit (Jack 31), the Rebel (Beck, 28) and the Jock (Hayden, mid 20s?).

What I liked/loved:
—the references to “You’ve Got Mail”. Sigh. It’s one of my favorite back-in-the-day movies 🥹. It’s a classic 🤷🏻‍♀️. I think I also felt a deeper connection because I remember the struggle of signing on to my aol account 🤣. And, of course, the chat rooms 👀. Don’t get me started in the IM chat as well 🤣. Remembering the movie makes me remember simpler times 🥹. Sigh. ❤️

—dating three men? YAAAASSS please 💁🏻‍♀️😮‍💨. Each one was unique and we got to know all the men’s struggles and insecurities ❤️. Makes sense since the following books are about them

—the tension with each relationship 👀. As the book progresses, we start to realize who might end up being the MMC, but for a little while, there’s a second one in the running 😅. The third one felt platonic from the get go 😬, but I liked guessing and figuring out who the hero was before we get told 😉

—the 🔥. Oh this is slow burn, but it’s oh-so-good. She does 🔥 stuff with two of the men (kissing, oral, and smex), and I was fine by it 👀. It’s rare to find books where we see the FMC with more than one love interest, and I was eating this up like candy 😮‍💨

—the 🔥 scene that happens at 72% was 🥵 AF!!! It needs its own bullet 💦. Luckily, we get another one in the epilogue too 😮‍💨

—the 🤣 moments 😅. From the tag on the dress, to the perm-failure no one can see, the communal mashed potatoes (a la Friends 🤣), the secretly googling the Jock, the reading of her palm, the messages, the lack of shaving, the statement necklace, the sibling obsession with the Jock, and the FaceTime, I was giggling 🤭

What I wanted more of:
—more 🔥. NGL 🤷🏻‍♀️. Only 2 full scenes, 3 if we count the non H 🔥 scene

—a better epilogue 😒. It’s only months into the future 😒 and we don’t see/hear them say their “I Love You”s 😑. Maybe if the epilogue was a year or so in the future, this would’ve been clearer, but it’s not 😐. I’m assuming we’ll see their HEA more in the future books, but still 😏

—more H/MMC time. If we had a better epilogue, I wouldn’t be complaining 🤷🏻‍♀️
🤣🤣🤣🤣

Overall, I really enjoyed this 🥰

⚠️safety squad⚠️
-no cheating/sharing
-H1’s very private
-H2’s divorced
-H3’s an athlete
-OWD- the h sees H1 on a date with a voluptuous blonde when she’s on her date with H3
-OMD- the h dates three guys. She has oral sex with one of her dates. She goes all the way with the real H, multiple times
-condom/none in the epilogue and on
-biting/dirty mouth

I just....blah. This felt like it took forever to finish and I don't think the book is even that long. But I was in the constant position of forcing myself to sit down and read this. I have legit had nothing else to do since I've started reading this and still I preferred to make myself busy enough to hold Three Blind Dates off.
I found this insanely predictable and couldn't find myself caring for anyone except maybe the five year old niece and that was only on occasion. This and anything surrounding this series is a mayor pass for me.

Surprising and unpredictable!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙❤️💜💚
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📔📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌍
Character development: 😊😘😟🥰
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Noely - she is the host of a tv show called Good Morning Malibu. She is a regular girl who would like to date a regular guy. When she hears about a new restaurant that focuses on blind dates, she is immediately interested in using their dating service and going to the restaurant.

The Heroes: The suit, the rebel and the jock - Noely’s three blind dates.
Jack (a.k.a. the suit) - he is a charming businessman with dimples. He is tall, dark and handsome. He likes Tom Hanks movies and is a gentleman with an air of elegance about him.
Beck (a.k.a. the rebel) - he is adventurous, likes motorcycles and is a philanthropist. He is surprising and funny and likes to live in the moment.
Hayden (a.k.a. the jock) - he is a rookie and latest star for the Quakes pro hockey team. He is also very nice and genuine.

The Story: Noely uses company resources to make her introduction video for the restaurant, and her boss finds out. He wants her to do a new segment on her show called Going in Blind, which is the name of the restaurant. She starts by signing up on the restaurants dating app which matches her up with her dates. Filming isn’t permitted in the restaurant, so she is glad that part isn’t going to be used in her segment.

I liked the fact that all of Noely’s dates are good dates and that she gets along well with each of the men. Though I know in reality, the chances are minuscule that she would go on three blind dates and liking all the men and having good dates. Being that there are a lot more losers in the dating game than good guys. These guys were all good, just at different places in their lives than Noely.

This book was really cute, and I liked all of the guys, and especially the journey to find the one. I thought the book would go a certain way and was really surprised when it took a complete u-turn and went a whole different way. Though I did guess who she would end up with, the journey was one I never would have guessed. I really like it when a book can surprise me like that.

This audiobook was done in dual points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Aiden Snow and Ava Erickson. These are two of my favorite narrators and both of them always do a terrific job. Aiden has a deep yet soft voice which is so sexy. Ava has a clear, feminine voice that is very youthful and pleasant.

Noely Clark is a successful host of a talk show Good Morning Malibu, she has everything going for her in every department with the exception of romance. When Noely decides to throw caution to the wind and join a dating program set up by a new local restaurant, Going in Blind, in search of publicity – they set her up with three very different, very attracting blind dates.

This was a cute story. I really enjoyed meeting the three very different men in this story and how they effected Noely as a character and her romantic life. I enjoyed watching the story and the romance unfold and found it very believable and relatable.

Noely was a hard character, not to like. I found her very real, endearing and relatable. Her and her best friend were just a real joy, I loved the banter between them.

I enjoyed that this wasn’t the perfect romance from start to finish. A part of it is about Noely growing in her romantic life as she meets and gets to know these guys before she gets her happily ever after.

That being said, I absolutely ADORED the second half of the book after the three blind dates. It was so cute and sweet and ugh.

Quinn really knows how to lace humor into her books with fun, realistic characters, easy storytelling, and just overall general appeal for romance lovers. I adored that she used references to You Got Mail and as someone who liked the movie I did appreciate that.

The small gripes that I was also one that I liked, right, I know, that doesn’t make sense. I felt like Noely’s obsession over movie felt too much at times and basing your relationship around that felt a bit like a fairy tale and unrealistic at times. And also a few things didn’t work for me, but they were minor and not really worth mentioning.

Overall, this was cute and definitely great for people who really love romances. The person she picks in the end is pretty clear despite the fact that it might feel like a love triangle, but it’s really not.

Genre: Romantic Comedy

FINALLY!!!! I have found a romance that SPEAKS to me. Three Blind Dates is an utterly FABULOUS book by one of my all time favorite authors, Meghan Quinn. This book is quirky, fun, and deliciously charming. I found myself smiling like a goofball, laughing until it hurt, and swooning over the ending. It's just an all around perfect romance. Having had a hard time with the genre in the last few months, I knew Meghan would take me out of my romance funk with her endearing characters and addicting plot. Our heroin, Noely, is a girl after my own heart and I could see myself walking in her shoes. Her three blind dates, all completely different from one another, were absolutely perfect as well. I can't wait to read their books in the coming year.

MORE ABOUT THE STORY

I am sure many of you (myself included) have been on some HORRIBLE dates (blind or not). Maybe we set out expectations too high? A little too low? Or maybe we just hoped for the best but got the worst. Well, this is what I thought we would get in Three Blind Dates- but we don't. It's not a book about dating mishaps with men who make us cringe but rather, a book about timing and finding the right man at the RIGHT time. It's a story about a strong and independent woman who wants her happily ever after and goes out to find it. All of her dates are fantastic in their own right and each of the men hold a certain charm factor, but timing here is key. One man is more ready then the others... And it's up to Noely to figure out which one is her soulmate.

Date #1: The Suit He's a strong business man with a good head on his shoulders and a life that is almost figured out. All that he is missing is "the one". Will it be him that she chooses?

Date #2: The Rebel Before reading this book HE is the one I chose. I like a man with an edge and the rebel certainly had that quality and much more. But, is he ready for a serious relationship? To start a family and live blissfully and happily ever after? Maybe he is... Will she chose the rebel?

Date #3: The Jock Hayden "fucking" Holmes. Star hockey player who doesn't mind a few drunken shenanigans. Has his life figured out, a great career, and an awesome sense of humor. Will he be the one she settles down with? You'll have to read it and see!!!

OVERALL THOUGHTS

Meghan has written this story in such a way that it is completely enjoyable to go on this journey with the main characters. In fact, I wouldn't mind being a wing-man (or is it wing-girl) with her. It's all just too good to pass up!

If you're looking for a fun and lighearted romantic comedy that will steal your heart then you need to pick up Meghan's latest novel, Three Blind Dates. And don't worry, it doesn't end here. Although this book is a complete standalone, the two bachelors that don't win over Noely's heart will have their own stories coming out in the next few months? Can you say EXCITED?!?! I can't wait!

"...your mind might be blind, but your heart never is."

This book was so much fun!! It was like eating a never-ending box of chocolates!

Noely longs to be in love. When an opportunity arises for her to participate in a brand-new "Going in Blind" dating program, she jumps at the chance to try something new--maybe she'll meet "The One".

The program sets her up with three possible matches:
-Jack aka The Suit.
-Beck aka The Rebel.
-Hayden aka The Jock.

Three entirely different guys; all drool-worthy in their own way. What's a girl to do?

This was romantic comedy at its best. Watching Noely wade into the nerve-wracking--and often frustrating--world of blind dating was nothing short of hilarious. Despite her nerves, she dives into it with an open mind (and an open heart!).

I kept going back and forth over which guy Noely would end up with. The author definitely threw some curve-balls in there, but I was so happy with who Noely fell for in the end.

A great book for me is one that not only has engaging main characters, but also solid secondary characters. Meghan Quinn does a fantastic job of fleshing out the supporting characters. I loved Noely's family and how wacky they were. Her best friend, Dylan, takes the prize for best one-liners.

If you are in any way a fan of the Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan movie You've Got Mail, this book will be a treat for you.

Loved the book so much. Can't wait for the other two guys' books. Keep 'em coming!

5 "You've Got Mail" Stars!

I. Loved. This. Book! Color me surprised, cause I was not expecting to add this to my 2018 faves. MQ always writes my fave heroines and Noely is no different. This book was a goodie. It was fun, captivating and hilarious. Definitely made my rom-com faves list.

When it comes to dating, the Malibu morning show host Noely needs all the help she can get. She decides to try a new Going In Blind dating app. Through this app she meets three men...The Suit, The Rebel and The Jock. I loved reading about Noely navigating the dating world and at the same time trying to figure out who she would end up with.

This story was unique and so refreshing. I definitely recommend it to readers and rom-com fans:)

DNF @ 16%.

If I can't be tempted to keep reading a book after a week, it's not a good book for me. The premise of this story is interesting. But I'm not a fan of more than 1 option for the heroine. It's about how she goes out with 3 diff men to find her one true love. Firstly, the attention of the novels gets spread across at LEAST 3 diff men. That means whoever she ends up with, if it's one of the 3 or someone else, that love story doesn't get center stage enough for my liking.

Plus, it's supposed to be hilarious. I barely cracked a smile in 16%. So... guess it just doesn't tickle my funny bone.

4.5 "You've got mail" stars!

Gaaaahh. This book gave my heart pitter patter from start to finish.  It had me laughing at loud, smiling like a fool and sighing at how romantic and good it is.  Thank you, Cyndi for this one :).

See, I am in love with our heroine, Noely.  She has what other people think successful.  A house, a car, a celebrity status but what she wants the most is to find love.  That special connection with someone.  She's in the market for love and decided to try the app that would find the perfect match for her.  And so the search begins and she ended up dating three different guys.

Guy1:  The Suit.  Handsome and suave.   Who wooed her with messages.
"I guess we're popping each other's cherries."
"Yeah, I guess you're right."
"Don't worry, I'll use lube."

Guy2:  The Rebel.  The motorcyle driving, salsa dancing with an alpha attitude.  Their sexual chemistry is hot but the rebel is very closed off about his past.

Guy3:  The Jock.  Adorable, sexy, intelligent, thoughtful and athletic.

Who will win Noely's heart? Wanna find out? Read the book.  You won't regret it. Hilarious, sweet, romantic. The dates with the three guys are exciting.   What I love the most is Noely.  I love her personality and the people in her life, I want to be in them too.  Dylan, her best friend.  Her brother and sister in law.  They are the best.  I want to meet them!

I thought Noely chose the right guy for her. I am glad there will be stories with the other two.

"I wanted it to be you.  I wanted it to be you so badly."

He's my very own love story 😍

So I picked up Three Blind Dates because I was slumping, but hey what's new? Slumping is my normal state. Anyway, I needed a light, fast read and I knew Meghan Quinn would provide. This is my second read by the aforementioned author and so far, she has not disappointed me.

As the blurb states, Noely participates in a dating show. The guys she meets, The Suit, The Rebel, and The Jock are each special in their own way and I loved all three! Noely eventually settles for one of them, which was predictable and I'm quite satisfied with her choice, despite wanting her to pick another guy, but it's okay I guess. The two other men will each be getting their own book, which is super exciting! Meghan's writing is fun and easy. The book was very entertaining and humorous with fun, lovable characters. The book is just what I needed at the time and it definitely helped me out of an impending slump!

“You want your forever.”
“Yeah, I want my forever.”

What can I say about Meghan Quinn that hasn’t already been said in my other reviews for her books? The truth is…probably nothing because I pretty much say it all OVER and OVER again! This woman is an INCREDIBLE storyteller. No matter the genre, she BLOWS MY MIND each and every time. Her pure raw talent shines through with each turn of the page, and she makes me love faster, laugh harder, and smile greater than any other rom-com author out there today!

When I saw the cover for THREE BLIND DATES and read the synopsis I was so incredibly giddy! I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this hilarious masterpiece! If you are familiar with Meghan’s work, you know that you are in for a real humorous, sexy, and emotional treat. I can’t say much about the actual story, because there is NO WAY I’m giving anything up for you guys. Just know that this author has never disappointed me and if you were addicted to her writing before, you have no idea what you’re in for with this gem!

I can tell you that THREE BLIND DATES is a laugh out loud, entertaining, and sexy rom-com that will pull at every single one of your heart strings. It has witty banter, sexy chemistry, passion, emotion, and tons of heart. It’s told in four parts, but don’t let that scare you, each part is just has incredible as the last and the flow of the story moves effortlessly making it a truly enjoyable read. Noely Clark is our heroine. She is sassy, smart, strong-willed, and independent. I envy her, but I can also relate to her in many ways. I think everyone will absolutely ADORE her and will definitely want to be in her shoes when she meets the suit, the rebel, and the jock. Each date brings more and more truth. Her choice may seem as close to impossible as you could get, but in the end, there really was only…and I can’t wait for you guys to try and guess who it will be!

Tread carefully through these reviews as I wouldn’t want it to be spoiled for you, because the more surprised you are, the more enjoyable the romance will be! Happy Reading!

You know that amazing feeling you get when you're flirting with a cute guy, and he's flirting back, and your stomach is in knots and you drink too much because you're nervous and you're wondering if you look okay and hoping that he has good credit and then he kisses you and you die? Meghan Quinn managed to bottle that feeling with Three Blind Dates. Grab a drink and go in blind, you won't regret it.

Cheesy, a bit predictable but also fun and addictive adult romance chick lit. A big bonus: the romance (romances?) was great and in no way unhealthy as it is in so many other novels out there. Definitely going to pick up the sequels as I also really liked the other two guys.

Three Blind Dates by Meghan Quinn ~ 4.5 Stars

Noely is a TV show host for Good Moring Malibu. Noely is content with life and seems to have everything she wants except a little romance. With a busy work schedule, it is impossible for Noely to find someone to share her life with. Noely decides to sign up for the “Going in Blind” in search for “the one”. Noely is matched up with three blind dates: the suit, the rebel, and the jock. Who will she choose?

Got to say, I was a bit worried at first that I might hate the book if Noely ended up with someone I didn’t like. This was not the case. The three guys are so different and unique in their own way – so there is no “wrong guy” here. I would have been happy with any of the three heroes. Besides, this story is lighthearted and fun and the dates she went on were just that – a date. Nothing too serious developed so I didn’t feel invested in one guy or the other. In the end, Noely chose the one I personally love the most so it really is a win-win situation for me. I love all three men. The suite is broody, confident, and a bit intense. The rebel is fun and carefree. The jock has a good heart, sweet, sexy. The heroine is also adorable. I like her good natured, independent and sassy attitude.

I love that this book references the movie You’ve Got Mail because that is one of my very favorite movies. I enjoyed the hilarious banters, the awesome chemistry – believe or not scorching with all three men. Three Blind Dates is a light hearted, flirty, sexy romance. You can’t go wrong with one of Meghan Quinn books – highly entertaining and guaranteed to have laughing out loud and swoony moments.
