The end to a pretty cool retelling of the classic tale; Wizard of Oz!
I enjoyed how much of the original story was present but there was still a little something that made this version different and fresh.
There were a lot of flashbacks in this volume. I sort of wish they had been spread out throughout the whole series. It kind of felt like the writer was trying to play catch up and give us a little more exposition to create sympathy for the secondary characters.
Sure, it worked for me but that's just because I'm a sucker for that sort of flashback story-telling!
I will say there were parts of this story that were predictable but overall, I enjoyed the tale it told and seeing the new characters introduced within this manga series.

The end of the story is nigh and hope is a heartbeat away.
With the darkness quickly closing in on the last remnants of Oz we get to see the truth at last about the world, the witches, Oz, and Dorothy as we venture to the past. Rediscover lost memories and tie strings to those destined to care for one another. All in all it was a good end to the series but one thing in particular that bothered me was how Oz (see Oscar) meets Dorothy for the first time. Regardless I particularly enjoyed how Dorothy discovers there are more books in the Wizard of Oz story after returning to the real world and potentially offering a chance for her to return even though the silver slippers are now gone. Only time can tell if hearts reach out to each other in this magical story that reaches into naother world. :)

4.5 stars 🌟 A feel good, light read with a twist on the classic Wizard of Oz!

This was an alright series! I did enjoy reading all of them and I enjoyed it very much! That being said with most 4 volume series, they are very rushed, but I was kind of expecting that. I was only disappointed because this got recommended to me because I like the Alice in the Country of Hearts series(which is a reverse harem) and I had walked into this book believing it would be that. But it wasn't which might be my fault of misinterpretation but because I had believed this manga to be one type which it wasn't I can't give it more than 3 stars!
If you know this isn't going to be a reverse harem book this is a quick, easy, and entertaining manga to read, albeit rushed(which should be expected with 4 volume manga series), and if you don't mind one guy endings this is for you!

With this volume, we learn the truth behind this version of the Wizard of Oz. It's actually a little heartbreaking, the back stories for each of these characters.
I really liked this ending, which ties up all the loose ends and gives you a short epilogue.
If you like The Wizard of Oz, this would be a good manga to get into. I'd even hazard to say this would be a good one for manga newbies as well.

The payoff! Everything comes together, and everything from the darkness to why the characters look like humans pretending to be Oz characters is explained. Myself, I enjoyed the explanation, and thoroughly enjoyed this series!

2020 Read #371
This concluding volume made up for all the confusion prior. I really appreciated the depth and touch of darkness to this reimagining of Oz. I think this is a series I will revisit at some point.

This really tugged at my heartstrings and I was really satisfied by how it ended. Only downside I felt was I wanted a little more about background characters and possibly even more volumes of everyone just being happy. Overall super fun and just the light reading I wanted.

Two things: The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and romance manga. *chef's kiss*
This series is like if The Neverending Story was set in Oz, with shoujo reverse harem aesthetics. It's an amazing self-insert meta fanfiction that I never knew I needed.

I wish she ended up with a different guy but otherwise a sweet ending.

Beautiful illustrations and such an interesting take on a beloved story! Great ending, beautifully woven tale.

Seriously!? That’s how it ends? How disappointing! Honestly, it’s just as bad as the “fight scene” in Twilight’s last movie.

THIS WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL/UNIQUE TAKE ON OZ! HOW DELIGHTFUL!
MY Ozian heart is SO happy!

As I feared, everything plot-wise was shoehorned into this single volume. Plot twists kept happening when there was virtually no hints in the previous volumes, or if there were, you would never be able to connect that to what actually happened. It would have been 3 stars if everything wasn't just crammed into one volume. Also I didn't like all the coupling of the main cast at the end. Every character doesn't HAVE to have a romance.

I think this is a good ending to a good series. I'm not obsessed with this series but I did enjoy my time rereading it.
