Loved this alternate version of Princess and the frog. So many twists you couldn't predict what would happen! Lots of action, and magic to get into. If you are looking for lovey romance this is not it. If you love the fables in general though this is for you. I don't like to go into details of the book to give it away. So just take my word for it that you should read it!!!

The stories {to do this without spoilers just giving the titles} are 1 Thread and Spool, 2 Wolves and Paths, 3 Frogs and Princes, 4 Towers and Braids, 5 Poison and Mirrors, 6 Swans and Silence, and 7 Glass and Death.

Didn't think about noting down errors, because usually don't expect as many, but this {see below} comes in single and sets, and had a lot of grammar issues, repetitious {as in literally repeated information as if it wasn't proofed right/at all}, and don't feel like going back through this or any of them just to suffer through all the errors and issues again. Could have been better and should have been better. This was the same case in 1 and 2, by 3 was jotting down loads of notes.

Needs to definitely be proofed a bit better; there were parts that were the same {literally, an indential repeat of a previous sentent/sentences}, some things that didn't make any sense {garage doors can be opened from the inside, without the romote, they are built that way}, places where a charcter is right behind someone and then way back down the trail, areas that are not misdirection they are just contradictory, and so on. How can a park be 3 streets away, half a mile away, AND 5 minutes away all at the same time? And how one minute is the girl saying yes she'd hold on to the wand, then x amount of time later, it's in the guy's pocket? PROOF for consistency. BTW, not saying something 'out loud' doesn't really matter a lot if you thought it and are with a mind reading frog. GET THE STORY STRAIGHT...you see the wand on the table, then mention that when it's picked up you hadn't noticed it on the table, what?

The third book in the Twisted Fairy Tale series follows main character Candice as readers are dragged, along with Candice, back into the world of Fable. Surprises and revelations in every chapter, and an ending to die for, Holly Hook is really taking us on an adventure of a lifetime through all of our favorite fairy tales, with of course a twist! I enjoy the fact we get a fresh set of characters in every book, following a different fairy tale, and I am always so excited to see how they then intersect. I can't wait to start reading the fourth book in the series!

That frog! Hated him so much to the point it made me struggle to keep reading. But then somewhere along the story those plot twists captivated me and I loved reading this book. It's a great addition to the series and although these retellings are not my favorite, I really love this series. The way Holly writes is easy and captivating. And without those annoying love triangles that come with so many books these days. So, to me, all her stories are for all ages.

Another great twisted tale. This one follows Candace as she finds out that she has to do something that is very unlike her to save a kingdom she didn't know existed at the beginning of the story. I love her attitude and the twists the author puts on the classic story.

Frogs and Princes
by Holly Hook
Candice just learned she has a prince in her future. Too bad he's the most insufferable guy she's ever met...and he's also a frog.

Candice has never liked being the rich girl in town or the fact that the most irritating guy in school, Shorty, has a huge crush on her. And there's one more thing that drives her up the wall: she can hear frogs talking, a fact she's had to hide since she was a young girl.

But when a frog begs her to save him from the dissection table in biology class, she can't help but step in. But her act of kindness attracts the anger of Shorty, who seems to have it out for this particular frog. When she tries to release the frog in a pond, she and Shorty are sucked into a world called Fable, where the fairy tales are real and magic exists.

Candice wants nothing more than to go home and escape Shorty, but there's a problem: she's a princess, and the frog she rescued is meant to be her prince. But the frog prince is far from a happily ever after. He's a possessive, entitled jerk who views Candice as nothing more than a prize, and if she doesn't free him from his curse and agree to be his bride, the entire kingdom will turn dark and fall into the hands of the most powerful dark wizard in Fable.

So together with Shorty, Candice must unravel the secrets of her story and save a kingdom—and herself—from darkness and despair. And it turns out Shorty might have some secrets of his own, secrets which might destroy them all.
I received an advanced copy of this book for a fair review.
This book can be read as a stand alone but its handy too read the first 2 books to give you idea of who's who and what fable is why things are happening and a lot of the stories seem to be link together in the overall story.
I didn't get into this book as well as the others I found it started of good and then dipped but then peeked up again and stayed well and kept me reading.
I enjoyed the main characters shorty and Candice they have grown to be my favorite characters in this series nd i look forward to the next twist in fable as I don't think this will be the last we see or hear of them..... Well I hope its not anyway.

I received this book free for an open and honest review.

Candice can hear frogs speak. She has been able to since she was a little girl. She is in Biology class and a frog starts talking to her and asked her to save them. Candice dumps the jar with all the frogs in it and gets sent to the Principal's office while Shorty, a fellow student, escorts her there. Turns out the frog jumped into Candice's backpack and leaves the school with her. Candice's friend, Franco, takes the frog with him to get rid of him all while Shorty is chasing after them to get the frog. Candice receives a text from Franco that tells her to meet him at the pond in the park. When she gets there, she finds Shorty and Franco fighting. All of the sudden the pond starts changing. Before they can get away, they are in the portal on the way to Fable. Only Shorty and the frog, Lawrence, knows that they are in Fable though. Candice and Franco think they are both nuts. Lawrence tells Candice that she is a princess and that this is her kingdom. Candice and Franco go check out the castle while Shorty is still looking for the frog. While they are in the dining hall, Candice looks up and there is a big portrait of her father on the wall. It is true. Her Dad is a king and she is a princess. A princess that is supposed to marry a frog prince. They run back to the pond to find the frog and a water nix comes out of the water and takes Franco away. Lawrence promises to get Franco back if Shorty and Candice take him back to his kingdom so he can make Candice his bride. The three of them go through many trials while going through the woods to get to Lawrence's kingdom, including dark spots where evil is overpowering, a witch, and Aldric himself setting the woods on fire. They finally get to Lawrence's kingdom and things go very bad for them. You will have to read Frogs and Princes to find out if Candice and Shorty can save Lawrence's kingdom without Candice having to marry the prince!!

I really enjoyed this book!! I am not a fairy tale genre person, but I am enjoying ready this series. I think this was my favorite of the three so far!!! I look forward to the next book.

Advance Reader Copy

Well, not only is the cover art for this novel stunning, but the inside is full of unpredictable twists that keep you flipping the page.

Frogs and Princes mainly follows the story of Candice, a young girl who is forced to return a frog -claiming to be a prince and her future husband - back to his kingdom after he convinces a water Nix to imprison her friend.
With the help of new and unexpected allies, Candice follows her story and returns the Frog Prince home only for everything to suddenly turn and change for everyone involved.

This novel was very unpredictable to me even when I thought I had finally Sussed the way things worked in the magical land of Fable. But no. Of course Holly wouldn't make it that easy. Frogs and Princes will keep you asking questions as an original story is altered (especially when you least expect it.) The ending to this novel caught me off guard. I did not see that coming to be completely honest.

I wish we could have read more on the reunion but apart from that it was a fantastic read!

This time I didn't want to go into more detail on the story to avoid spoilers but again I will say that if you are a fan of twisted fairy tales or even just fail tales overall, Holly Hook is an author for you.

Great story as always - I cannot wait to start Towers and Braids. In fact I might just start now.

Frogs and Princess the third installment of the holly Hook, A Twisted Fairy Tail Series. This twist on the classic fable is chalked full of action, adventure, suspense, villains, and magic. As we'd allow Candice from saving frogs in her biology class in the real world into her story in fable we are caught immediately in mystery, danger and a love triangle. Much like real life not all is what it seems and you can not always tell who is the villain. Finding out who you really are is a journey for everyone but for Candice well there is an evil wizard.
Will she save her kingdom? Will she have to marry the frog? Is shortly shady? Will the Evil Wizard Alric win and turn even more kingdoms dark? Once I pick up this story it was hard to put down until I found out.
This installment in the series was in my opinion the best. The story development, the pace, the characters, and the twist drove the story and even made me wonder which fable will be next as it possibly tied in a few to come. I am anxiously awaiting the next arrival in the series.

Frogs and Princes is book 3 in Holly Hooks A Twisted Fairy Tale series.

This one has been my favourite instalment yet.

We mainly follow Candice as she gets sucked into Fable destined to continue her story of The Frog Prince. Only it doesn't quite work out how she (and we all) expect of the story.

She runs up against a shady character, Shorty, gets sucked in with her best friend Franco, has to deal with the thoughts of an arrogant Royal-turned-frog Lawrence and all the while, stop Alric the evil wizard from getting exactly what he wants and ultimately rule Fable.

This tale is fraught with danger for our main characters, as well as twists and turns throughout. It has a nice suspense element to it, that I really appreciated. The story developed so much better then the previous instalments in my opinion and I was instantly drawn to all the characters.

A very worthy addition to the series.

I was gifted a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Ms Hook has brought us The Frog Prince all dressed up in this century, well kinda. A great rendition of the old story with a wickedly unique point of view as we travel back to the land of Fable with Claudia, Franco and Shorty who isn't what or who it seems to be. A great tale filled with twist and turns. Claudia learns that things are not always what they seem to be and neither are people. The Frog Prince remains totally and completely arrogant, self important, and determined. While Shorty, well Shorty does a lot of things including learns a whole lot about himself and that he can choose his ending. The thing is does Claudia have what it takes to change hers. Great fun and a good rendition of an old favorite done very well. I would definitely recommend it to all.

I'm not a big fan of the Frog Prince as a tale so I tried to take that into account when leaving my rating. I do think Holly did a good job offering a twist on the tale, but I feel like this story leaned a bit too heavily on the same plot structure as the last two books without more than a surface reason why. I actually did enjoy the story (minus some of the more magical things that happened), but I kept wondering why the character was motivated to continue and why she didn't question things more. Regardless I still want to read the rest of the series! :)

OMG Holly has done it again. this series has had me pulling out my hair with all the twists and turns that Holly is know for and this one is no different. Frogs and Princes is an awesome book about a rich girl Candice, who can hear frogs talking. when she helps a frog in her science class it lands Candice in Fable, what she doesn't know the frog is evil, Shorty a guy in her class that has a crush on her along with Franco her friend end up with her there. what comes next is classic Holly with Twists you didn't see coming. this has to be my favorite book in this series so far, well until I read the next one lol.

Interesting twist on a fairy tale where the prince is not so charming and the reluctant princess has other plans. I do like these stories that I grew up reading as a child have now become a different tale and the typical happily ever after is up for a review. The ending was a bit abrupt and not what I expected as I would have like to have read about Franco being rescued and the story expanded more to entail a complete tie up of all the loose threads.

Each book in the series ties together to the previous one. This one is fascinating and full of surprises! I loved it!!!! This series is amazing.
