The art is great as always while the story not so. Love the nice little twist about the lightsaber and its wielder shown in a "b/w" photo. Wish they make Jedi Quest into comics with art by the same artist because he's amazing.

Finally the flashbacks make sense and don’t feel out of place. The climax was definitely rushed, an unfortunate side effect of having such short volumes.

3.5 ⭐️ I enjoyed this series although sad it’s a little short. The artwork was gorgeous and I always enjoy delving deeper into the events in between the cannon of the films.

Smart of Obi-Wan to lure to Republic to Carnelion IV by mentioning Tibanna gas. It's also touching that he would leave the Jedi Order if Anakin were to leave.

Kind of a disappointing conclusion, but overall the issue was good and this was a surprisingly enjoyable mini series. The artwork gets a 5/5 for each issue.

3.5/ 5 ⭐.

"Closed... Open... They spare no one. Well, what are you waiting for? Get down there and kill them!
"Sera... There is something else you need to know. Jedi... Whenever possible... They spare everyone"

"The Republic did not come here because of Obi-Wan Kenobi. They are here because a Jedi called. Being a Jedi is not just about power, or lightsabers, or even skill with the Force. It is about connection. Being part of something bigger. I am stronger as part of the Jedi Order than I could ever be alone"

"I don't know where I failed. I have done my best to teach him. He belongs here. He's not ready. He's too young."
"As are you, Obi-Wan. As are you. Your fault it is not. A child Anakin remains. His path before coming to us... difficult. His questions... natural"

"For the Jedi Order only, Jedi training is. Understand, do you? Anakin's departure, its consequence?"
"Of course, Master Yoda. If Anakin leaves the Order... Then I must leave it as well."

"The Road lies before you, Anakin Skywalker. Will you walk it alone?"
"No, Master. As a Jedi.If you'll show me the way."

Not me crying over a comic again. I hate Star Wars.

“Being a Jedi is not about power or lightsabers or even skill with the Force. It is about connection being a part of something bigger. I’m stronger as part of the Jedi than I could ever be alone.” - Obi-Wan Kenobi

The saddest part of all of this is Anakin inevitably ends up alone. Everything Palpatine did was to isolate him from the Jedi so that he felt there was no one to help and he could only rely on himself which is foundational for the Sith. It inevitably would turn him to the dark side if he believed only he has capable of making the right decision. His lack of faith in the masses would ultimately destroy him. Interestingly, it is Palpatine’s belief that only he can save the Republic that is what destroys it. Their loneliness is a weakness.

It’s heartbreaking really that Palpatine was able to convince Anakin that he couldn’t trust anyone when he always would have had Obi-Wan, always. Obi-Wan would have left the Jedi Order for him. I really just hate Star Wars because no one deserves this suffering. Anakin believed he could fix anything but he couldn’t do it alone, but he grows up to believe he has to and that is what destroys him. But it wasn’t true. He was never alone.

I think the conflict between Open and Closed wrapped up a bit too quickly BUT the parts with Obi-Wan and Anakin was SO good.
Obi-Wan willing to leave the Order to follow Anakin? Anakin choosing to stay? Anakin learning why being a Jedi is so good because it connects you and goes directly against Palpatine trying to say it’s easier to do things alone? Just the entirety of getting to explore a snip bit into Anakin’s training and Obi-Wan trying to keep his vow to Qui-Gon??
I loved it!

I honestly love Obi-Wan so much in this collection. He's selfless to a fault, and even Yoda can see how his vow is breaking him. He was still a padawan himself when he was pushed to train another -- who also happened to be the kid Qui-Gon traded him for at the drop of a hat (sorry, Qui-Gon, I will never forgive you for that!). Even at this age, Anakin is self-absorbed and unable to see the great sacrifices people make for him.

Felt like a rushed ending, with so much wasted potential between the two planetary powers at war within this comic book series.

Overall this series is amazing sci-fi and I could easily see this being transformed into a video game or TV show nicely.

Super fun and unfortunately short series, that I would definitely recommend to any sci-fi/Star Wars fan.

Cierre perfecto.

The story concludes with Obi-Wan revealing Anakin the most important thing about the Jedi. Obi-Wan is one of the best characters, he's righteous and always helpful. The art is really well done!

I enjoyed this series, though in truth I think Obi-Wan's voice was a little diminished. He's way more sarcastic and generally cheeky.

The art continues being beautiful, though I found the conclussion quite disappointing. Anyway, is a series I have enjoyed, and I hope to be able to read more comics or books about Obi-Wan, my favourite Star Wars character.

(#5) “Obi-Wan & Anakin” by Charles Soule

Fortress of the scavenger is a shrine to the world that was.

“Being a Jedi is not just about power, or light-sabers, or even skill with the Force. It is about connection. Being part of something bigger.” - Obi-wan
