It's my goal to read all books that are from the Avatar The Last Airbender universe and they might all be for kids but, honestly, I'm enjoying them. The episode that goes with the book is season 3 episode 4, if you want to watch it. The book is pretty close to the episode so there wasn't anything new that I learned but I enjoyed seeing the artwork that went with the story. I feel like the expressions were more prominent and I really liked it since it was definitely different from the show.

Highly recommend not reading this if you have seen the series. It adds nothing to the story or to the lore.

Cute little book, a short but accurate retelling of the fourth episode from the third season of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Sokka's Master. This brings back some memories of times when I had to read these types of books out loud to practice my reading as a child, and also when I read these types of books out loud to younger kids. This is quaint, I really like it and highly recommend it to any younger reader who has shown any sort of interest in Avatar: The Last Airbender. Especially if they like Sokka, or feel like he's left out or doesn't do enough (but he totally has always been of big help! For more than just comedic relief~.)

I actually watched this episode for the first time this past summer. ^-^ I spent a while this summer watching ALL of Korra and ALL of Avatar. Some of it shared with my best friend too, and talked about as well~. I'm happy~.

I really liked this book because Sokka was in desparate need of some character growth, it was getting to feel like he didn't belong in this adventure the way that the other two do. Aang is obviously the Avatar and Kitara is one hell of an amazing water-bender but Sokka seemed like he was just there for the laughs and it was beginning to work against him IMO. Then came along this story and Sokka finally had earned his place on the team. The adaptation was pretty standard, it could have done better at delving a little deeper into the Airbender world but nonetheless it did its job.
