Another nostalgic read this Christmas. Geronimo Stilton was a favorite in our house all year long, but we especially loved the Christmas books. These are marketed for kids 7-10, but my daughter was reading these well into her teens and obviously I still enjoy them. The books have great illustrations and the story itself is written with different fonts, sizes, and colors. They also include recipes and crafts for you to do. Highly recommended!! ❤️💚
I think this book is really important for a hero's journey cause it makes you like reading and reading fast, I read the book in one day. I like that has a different kind of book, some are larger than others, and it is for adults and kids. Not only that, but I love this kind of book cause it makes you like reading. Not only that, but I would say that everybody has to read at least one of the hundreds of books there are.
Geronimo family got a invitation from their friend to celebrate Christmas with them in New York. But Geronimo bag get switched with other mouse. He tried to find the mouse in the New York . Another great story!
J’adore cette série destinée aux enfants de plus de 8 ans mais qui me ravit toujours autant par ses illustrations, son texte aux caractères mouvants et colorés ainsi que les notes éducatives y insérées.
I liked this book. I think it would have been better if I'd read it in second grade when my teacher actually gave it to me. So, you could read it if you want to but it isn't the best book I've ever read.
I was hoping for this one to help me enter the Christmas Spirit since I haven't just yet and it didn't particularly although it did have some very interesting information about New York City's places of interest. In this one, Geronimo is forced to travel to New York for Christmas to be with his family but the moment he arrives, trouble ensues. He gets his paws on the wrong suitcase at the luggage hold, which is a very stupid thing to do even if the suitcases are identical, and then proceeds to travel around all of New York City in order to track it down and return the suitcase to its rightful owner. Not much of a Christmassy book considering that it's called A Very Merry Christmas. It's come to my attention that it's probably an extremely sarcastic title and Stilton himself is fuming upon reminiscing about his horrible day in the Big Apple. It was ok overall but I felt extremely bad for Stilton and the title is certainly a misnomer if not completely sarcastic. At least it does end on a positive note and there are several activities one could partake in to feel the joy Christmas is meant to bring.
My students wanted a lot of Christmas themed books, so since Geronimo Stilton remains popular with some readers, I got this holiday related title. It's one of the standard Stilton mysteries; he goes to New York City to spend the holidays with family, but ends up getting the wrong luggage. Turning it in to authorities wouldn't make for a good story, so he travels all around the city, seeing the sites, and looking for "Mrs. Smith". There are many good descriptions of places in NYC, so this would also be good for readers who wanted a virtual vacation. Plenty of cheese is mentioned, and there's the same amount of rodent-related vocabulary like "fabumouse". Not my favorite, since every book seems to be the same and Geronimo never seems to get his act together, but I've had students who were big fans.
A book book you would wish to read before Christmas. It is when Geronimo takes the wrong bag from the Airport after arriving in New York on the way to the MacMouses's house. He looks all around the city with her appointment book, visiting some of the most famous places there. After failing to find A. Smith (The bag owner), he finds out that she is one of the MacMouses and he has a great Christmas with them and his family.
Another worthy installment in the Geronimo Stilton series. Geronimo has a whirlwind adventure in New York City at Christmas time. Lots of fun tidbits about NYC are interspersed throughout the story which I really love!
It was a really quick read for me (about 15-20 minutes, no skimming). Other than the pages introducing each New York monument, there wasn't much educational in this book. There were a few hilarious parts (though I did predict the problem of the story before it was revealed).
This was a Stilton I didn’t like. He cried waaay too much in this one. I’m all for books with emotionally sensitive men but the amount he cried in this book made him seem more like a lost toddler than an actual adult. I did like the facts about New York City though.
Geronimo is going to New York for Christmas. He's back get switched with " mrs.a smith" can you find his bag before Christmas? Or is grandpa going to have his tail.
Geronimo has a very busy Christmas time. But his grandfather has some new planes about Christmas. HE want to celebrate Christmas in New York . Everyone is gone to New York except Geronimo.
I gave this Book a three star rating because WHY IS GRANDFATHER WILLIAM SO ANNOYING?!?! he always seems like he's getting angry at geronimo for no real reason!
This is my favorite book in the Geronimo Stilton series so far. I really liked the setting of NYC and enjoyed all the informational bits on the city. I loved the Christmas theme.
