Love triangle! Comedic antics!! Gang warfare?! You won’t want to miss out on Shonen Jump's laugh-out-loud feel-good manga series! It's hate at first sight when Raku Ichijo first meets Chitoge Kirisaki. But much to their chagrin, the two are forced into a false love relationship to keep the peace between their feuding gangster families.
Raku reconnects with another childhood friend—Yui Kanakura. Back in the day, Yui was like an older sister to Raku, but now she’s the head of a Chinese mafia syndicate! While in Japan, she’s Raku's new homeroom teacher, and she'll be living together with him. Perhaps she can help Raku remember his past with Chitoge, Onodera and Marika…
An unexpected hospital visit starts off this volume. I have no idea what the p9oint of the first chapter was. Very random. But after that we get a new female joining the scene. Raku's "big sister" and new homeroom teacher. However her feelings are not sisterly and she seems to know about the locket and keys. And has a history with each of the other girls. It really added a new level to the mystery. Although hope no more girls enter the scene. We have enough for Raku to deal with! BUt Imust say, she is one of my favorites of the girls.
We also get to see "Black Tiger" all dressed up! I loved it. She really can look quite elegant. was a surprising change. Overall, a decent read but I do think it is time for this series to reach it's end before the story runs dry.
Raku is having a rough time from the beginning of volume as his stomach has been bothering him and it turned out he ended up with appendicitis (and a PSA about the seriousness of inflamed appendixes) putting him in the hospital where his friends can come to visit and offer him enough apples to invite new trouble. :)
This volume also introduces the new girl on the cover as a childhood friend of Raku's comes to visit. Yui Kanakura is not only the head of a Chinese Mafia group but has decided to stick around as a homeroom teacher for Raku and his friends. This could spell new problems for poor Raku but she also has answers to everyone's' past so if she ever agrees to help she could finally expose light on who Raku made a promise to long ago.
Seishirō has to go on an undercover operation that has met unexpected complications. With having to switch her roles Seishirō takes on a feminine roll showing her sexy side. We also get a couple of short comics in how Yui unified the Chinese factions and another volume of Magical Confectioner Kosaki!!
Wow, I think volume 14 is my favorite one so far! We meet Yui, the last girl with a key, who knows something but isn't telling. Not sure how I feel about her yet. Tsugumi takes Raku on a secret Beehive mission, and actually wears a dress (or rather, several dresses) for once. She looked like a knockout, which shocked me bit considering how long it's been since we last saw her dressed up. By far, my favorite part was the career counseling sessions! They were hilarious, and kind of interesting. And then at the end of that... it was awesome! Overall, this was a really great volume. The story is back on track after all of the filler that we've been having lately. 5 stars!
We get a pretty good mix of all the girls in this volume, as well as meet Yui, who has a fourth key. I think she will be the last key holder, since the picture book only had four but who knows? I do wish there was more Haru, Fu and Paula! Tsugumi in all her different outfits was pretty. I also like that we are seeing what these characters want to do in the future, even if most of them are somewhat unsure. This one was about half filler and half actual plot.
This volume was much likethe previous one. It had somereally sweet momentsand Onedara gets a good chapter that focuses on her future. The characters are getting more time to be characters and not just love interests. The new character adds yet another character and I wish the story would just focus on what we already have going on. I'm hoping that I will grow to like them like I have with many of the other characters in this series.
We have a new harem member with a key, so now there are four keys. Should a person honor a promise of marriage made when they were 5 years old? That's the key to this story which rarely reaches the surface. Most of the stories are distractions. Fourteen down and three to go. I'll skip the eight volumes I don't have.
This is a one bc i can't give negative stars on Goodreads
I wish Yui actually was a big sister instead of wtv this hellish object-woman directly descended from an incel's dream is The pedo teacher is awful too The chap w Kosaki asking the others around abt her future job was cute, until it closed on her wanting to be nothing more than Ichijo's wife

They finally got back to the plot, but they added a really awkward teacher x student dynamic by introducing another girl who happens to be their new teacher... Besides that, the rest of it was fan service and filler.
So I really liked it because I enjoy that Raku keeps getting in situations with each girl that makes them fall for him more in a way. Basically I kind of wish I was Raku and had all those beauties falling for me. Lol
This one was kind of annoying thanks to the introduction of Raku's "big sis." It got an extra star for the final chapter where Raku helps Tsugumi go undercover. It was pretty funny.
This volume has a lot of the same episodic comedy plots. Raku gets sick, and everyone comes to visit him. For the perverted plot, Raku and Tsugumi have to pretend to be a couple undercover on a cruise, leading to Tsugumi dressing in several revealing outfits. Each character has to have a parent/teacher conference where they discuss their future careers, and some of them actually have ideas about it.
But, of course, the main plot point of the volume, is when another girl for the harem is introduced. She knew Raku and the rest of them when they were younger, and she’s just a little older than them. But smart enough to be their teacher.
Of course, I’m not a fan of another girl being introduced, when we already have so many possible members who could be holding the key. I don’t think she’s a real contender for that, but still. I wish they’d introduce some new boys for once, even out the cast a little.
I am still reading, as I do still love this series. It’s fun and funny and sweet. I look forward to the next one, always.
A review copy was provided by the publisher, VIZ Media, for an honest review. Thank you so, so much!
I really enjoyed this series at the beginning, but I am getting a little frustrated. Komi keeps adding more and more characters that are in love with Raku, and having so many mini-stories rather than getting back to the heart of the story. It's like he's trying to prolong the series before the resolution (if there will be one). The pull to figure out who Raku promised to be with is what keeps me reading this series. Some of the crazy things that happen aren't as funny as they were in the beginning.
Why in the world must we keep adding in girls? And another one with a key?
This entire issue is dedicated to fan service. Even for a harem storyline this has gotten over the top. With the addition of Yui we can get the older woman/forbidden teacher love angle which only complicates things unnecessarily.
The only reason I'm giving this one 3 stars is for the fact that we managed to get the main storyline lurching forward again, but this seriously is getting old fast. Why am I still reading this? Oh yeah...because I like the characters.
An awesome addition to the Nisekoi series, this one was probably one of the funniest, as well as one of the recent volumes that advanced the story significantly. With the addition of a fantastic new character (one of my favourite new additions to the cast), as well as a downright hilarious ending chapter, this one was great!
I'm glad the story is finally getting back on track after two volumes of episodic tales. We've got another new character to keep track of, but this one might actually have some answers. All in due time, I suppose.
Y aparece otra pretendiente, de china que es amiga de la infancia de Raku, recuerdos selectivos, dos años mayor y resulta ser su nueva maestra. Y también tiene llave.
