Chelsea has totally done it again!!!! I could not put this book down. Constant action and suspense. Chelsea makes you feel so connected to the story and characters. Her writing skill is one of the best I've ever read. Every book she puts out I absolutely devour. This series and this book do not disappoint. Thanks for sharing your talent with us again, Chelsea. :)

So I was actually planning on reading a little bit of book two and then sleep. But then I just continued, and also read this book. 3.5 hours later since the time I went to bed, and I had both finished.

There will be a few stuff that I will put under spoiler tags. I just need, NEED, to talk about stuff that happened in this book.

We immediately start off where we left in book 2. It was especially fun now that I read the books back to back, it just felt like I was reading one big book. :P

So right of the bat, I have to say this:

The travel to the next safe zone was filled with dangerous things, not only zombies, but also gangs, cannibals (yes cannibals, I hated them so much). Again, like the last book, don't get attached to the characters. There are some heartbreaking scenes in this one. I just wanted to scream, shout, cry, throw with my ereader. I didn't of course, my boyfriend was next to me in the bed, it was ~2 am + my ereader is pretty expensive. But I would have definitely done the shouting and screaming. :P

The cannibal part was just horrendous, disgusting, and terrifying. Our poor group. :(

We also find out more about the outbreak, how it happened, as we meet two new characters who were there in Chicago when it happened. It was quite a gruesome tale, I can't imagine how it feels when you are at a park, and suddenly gases would pop up, and people would change into meat-eating monsters. *shivers*

The ending, and what happens there, mm, on the one hand I am happy, but on the other hand I had expected something more. Then again, I already had a suspicion of the ending when we were closing in on the last quarter.

But all in all, I did enjoy this series a whole lot. There were quite a few characters that I loved, characters that I grew to love, characters I disliked oh so much. The story was great. The zombie action wonderful and scary. The background story was good (though creepy). And so much more good things. I would highly recommend this series if you are looking for a good zombie story.

I just Loved it. It was a great ending to this Trilogy. Such a world wind of emotions! Adam is amazing, and Rachel is just what you want in the Zombie Apocalypse. Not to mention Nicky he's the best. This was a great read and someone else mentioned if your missing The Walking Dead read this, I couldn't agree more..

What a great way to end the series. I can't say everything turned out the way I was hoping for but it still worked out great. I loved every second of the story. Every happy, heart wrenching, terror, and heart break. It was a great ride. Now on to the next epic zombie Apocalypse filled world!

In the final book of the Zombie Apocalypse series the group is still trying to find a way to a safe zone. The final one still standing is Camp Freedom Two in Las Vegas which is a long way from Michigan. Rachel and Adam grow closer as the group is forced to kill to survive. The group can’t seem to catch a break. Along the way the group meets up with some new friends and foes. Survival is there only goal at this point and sometimes that doesn’t even seem like an option.

I enjoy Luna’s books but was a little disappointed with this final book. The book has some great plot twists that you don’t see coming which made it a great page turner. I would have liked the ending to have more of a resolution than it did but still recommend this book as well as her New England Witch Series as well.

I wasn’t at all prepared for the death and heartbreak that REVENGE & THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE would bring. Not. At. All. My heart is hollow but full at the same time. I wish we could have gotten a little more of an ending. Especially after all we have been through. But I believe the author wanted to do a story on Nicky that never came to fruition unfortunately.

But I will leave it at this...it was still a fantastic, edge of your seat, zombies gnawing your face kind of read. I couldn’t ask for a better zombie apoc story. 5 Stars!!

This is a bit better written than the two previous installments, quick build up with a few one-two punches. The story never really "ends", it just finishes. One major element surprised me quite a bit toward the end, but a good portion of it was somewhat predictable. Worth the read I've you've read the 2 previous installments, but, in the end, it settles into typical zombie fiction.

For what this is, a zombie apocalypse story of survival and romance, it's well done until the end.

There's a lot of good qualities...

• All the characters get a voice and a role. I connected with all of them. While some die, I didn't feel like any of them were treated as disposable secondary characters. To not expect deaths in an apocalypse story is like not expecting ice cream to melt.

• The character's actions were logical, believable in the circumstances.

• Aside from one plot hole, I felt the plot rang completely realistic for the setting.

• Writing is fast-paced. Sentence structure is causal & flows like real life. Technical writing is very well done with few errors.

But, there's a few things I'd have preferred differently...

• The romance needed smoother transitions. For example, the change from Cage to Adam was awkward. I mean it really wasn't even discussed and just goes from one to the other in the blink of an eye. I agreed with it, but still, it needed more attention during the change and it at the very least deserved an actual convo r/t the change.

• The RV park seemed like a gigantic plot hole. For a group of 30+ people to go to that extreme in just a week's time?!? And, for them to have killed that many people for that purpose in such a short time and to be completely detached from it?!? Ehh, that just didn't reason well.

The Ending

This is spoiler'y ... Beware!

This author chose to end her story in 'momentary safety.'

I hate when an author takes these types of stories and closes with pink ribbons and chocolates, but I equally hate when I feel like an author doesn't finish the story and I feel like I've read a clip out of someone's unfinished diary.

They make it to the best safety in reach, but the threat is still present. There's no plan for resolve or true safety. Their fates are as fickly destined as ever.

And, the last image of a bartender, Gardner, and carpenter just doesn't ring true to the fighter these three have proven themselves to be over the course of three books. Readers are basically left to imagine the characters doing mundane jobs as they await the next horde, which may or may not be big enough to penetrate their safety. I needed more than mundane and uncertainty to be okay leaving these characters in a destroyed world.

I'd give the series as a whole 3 1/2 stars and the end 1 star.

Chelsea Luna what have you done to me?!

It was Nicky that endeared me to Lindsay. She really grew on me and just... ugh, I got so sad! Like I said for the second book, people are SO messed up. I wasn’t surprised about Cage either, the kid’s a good guy. As much as this book hurt me, I really enjoyed it and the series as a whole. I love me a great zombie apocalypse!

Well, I was hoping the characters dialogue would have gotten more realistic through the trilogy butttt...it only improved marginally. With the exception of Nicky (who is developed to be the type of person who makes left field comments) most of the other characters said the stupidest things. Despite that, I still looked forward to picking up where I left off and reading the storyline. Although it wasn't the type of book where I was unable to put it down, the important thing is I still enjoyed it. It is definitley a good read for the off season of The Walking Dead. Had the characters been a little more believable & developed, I feel this would have been a much better book. I was actually really glad to see one character in particular bite the dust, because the things they said were just so stupid and un-realistic!

Great series

I read through this series so fast! I never wanted to put it down. It's a good story with some romance . I just really enjoyed the fast pace. Nicky is a pretty cool character . And I love it when one of the girls in the group , like Rachel , can kick serious zombie ass! But it's just a group of strangers that become a family through watching each other's back and loss. Great series. Want to read more from this author.

Satisfying conclusion

More death, more zombies, more love and heartbreak.
As in most apocalypsess with zombies or without, it is the calculating evil of human beings with out laws who are to be most feared.
This gave us a satisfying end. Thanks to the author for not drawing it out, although I did hate to see a good book end.

Such a good ending to a series. Wish the books were longer so I didn't have to see this one come to an end.

I've been so shit at writing up reviews lately, especially when it comes to a series, and zombies, I inhale the first book, then jump right into the next if its a winner without sitting down and typing a review up. Ughhhh..The life of a reader lol

So I will do better moving forward...

As we see one relationship fade to black, another better pairing blossoms. Both like minded, both leaders in their own rights.

Never, Ever, get attached to characters within the zombie apocalypse because you never know who will die a sudden death.

This book was brutal. Two main characters died, one at the hands of such a horrendous act as the others watch under lock and key helpless to do anything. The other as a sacrifice to save not only the group but hundreds of other survivors.

This series definitely kept me on my toes, action packed, annoying as all hell female character, gangs, cannibalism, love in the apocalypse..

I wish we'd seen them scavenge more, house to house, but these guys lived off fumes, they went hours, days without eating.

Plus because I'm a greedy bitch I wish there was more. I can never get enough of this genre. And it's even harder when you form bonds with a group of survivors.

Good ending to the series though i would have liked maybe a bit more detail into what happened after.

Adam and Rachel did my head in a fair bit in this one with many stupid decisions and there were a few unlikely moments and scenarios but altogether this was one fantastic series. Nicky was my favorite character of the series and i liked how he was portrayed at the end he really came full circle.

Will definitely be reading more from this author.

Great series

This series was so great. It kept you wondering what was going to happen next. No one is safe. I don’t read a lot of zombie books but I’ve read a few. This is one of my favorite series.

This book was every bit as gripping and fast paced as the others, but some of the content wasn't my favorite.

I can't say anything about it because... spoilers, but I needed to leave myself a note so when I come back in the future I know this series probably won't be a reread for me.
