No surprise but I really enjoy these books, they are a great read for any age. I love the underlying story of the environment and the bad AND the good we are doing to it. Sweet, interesting, fun, just all around good reads these books are. I've got the sixth one checked out and ready to be read already.

April 25, 2012this book is good so far. one of the things that i have noticed is that the books actuley have a really good lesson. It talks a lot saving the wild and how we do bad things to the earth. IT helps to be in a animals view. Especialy when urajck (how ever you spell it) turs into a different animal. Although the "save the earth" part is noticeable it is mild and does not ruin the book. Any how, in this book the bears finally go onto the ice. Toklo is mad about it and shares it with the world. lusa is un-comfortable with the idea of being far away from trees but optimistic. kallik loves it!

Voor beren die nog even het milieu en de natuur moeten redden, schieten ze in dit boek bijzonder weinig op. Er wordt vooral gereisd en alleen aan het eind gebeurt er iets meer. Ik ben benieuwd hoe dit verhaal tot een mooi afgerond einde moet komen in nog maar één boek...

Ok where to start. the book was really nice and cute but wasnt amazing.
The ONLY amazing part in the begining where they go to the ice, I never thought that I could imagine such beauty from a book.
ok so I'm giving this book 4 stars just because of the beauty of the scenes not the plot.
The plot was good, it was similar to the last book but in a diffrent place and a bit better. In the first three books I felt like the plot is moving normally but in the 4th I noticed that Erin Hunter had to stop the rush in order to make 6 books in the series and I also felt it in this book but this book was WAY better than the 4th. to be honest after the third book I figured out that the plot in't strong at all it's about seekign a place that could've written in a stand alone book but this journey is in details. But it's not bad at all I still find it better than Warriors. The reason why I LOVE the plot of course the characters and learning in every book the huge damage humens make.
Overall I really liked this book but it still didn't beat the first two, since I find them one of the best books I've ever read in my life. I recommend this series to all nature and animal lover and also all readers you are looking for THE CUTEST CHARACTERS EVER.

Hunter keeps up the adventure in this 5th book of the Seekers series. Now the bears are face to face with the oil operations in the frozen north, and having to figure out how to survive on the ice. They must find the motivation to continue their journey, overcome personal quarrels, and figure out what the black smelly stuff is... all while being chased away by "no-claws". I really love how Hunter presents an oil drilling operation, complete with sick animals being cared for not so far away from the rig itself. This entire series has been a great break from deeper reading, while still providing a lot to think about. Looking forward to book 6!

Quick spoiler warning up here, for this book and the next one!
Mid three stars. I don’t have many strong feelings on this book; it was just ok. This was a reread, and I think my thoughts remain mostly the same as last time.
Overall, the writing was up to usual Erin standards; nothing bad, but nothing amazing. Plot wise, the book was also the same as most Seekers books: walking, walking, and more walking. I did appreciate the change of scenery onto the ice, and the scenes in the oil rig at the end were more interesting than I remembered. But overall, the plot is pretty average and predictable.
Character time.
Lusa is interesting in this book, but not because she develops. She’s interesting because this book explores what the group looks like without her bubbly personality. I liked seeing that, but I do wish we’d gotten just a bit MORE from her, or that she had more importance beyond a plot device.
Kallik was actually pretty decent in this book. She had lots of interesting plot callbacks and small moments, like her struggling to hunt on the ice and not being used to leading, that made her feel more explored as a character. I appreciated her relationship with Toklo being explored more, but I do wish we’d seen more of her relationship with Ujurak, since they were alone together for some of the book. All in all, Kallik still has a rather stereotypical personality, so nothing really stood out as amazing with her. But she was definitely better in this one than the last few, in my opinion.
Toklo was another character who got some interesting development, but nothing that felt like a standout. With him, I like his relationships with other characters, but I felt like HE didn’t really change much. Toklo right now reminds me of many Warriors characters (specifically Rootspring), where they have a strong personality at first, then mature into a better, but more boring version of themselves. That’s about how I feel with him right now. He’s good overall, but, like Kallik, he feels a bit stereotypical.
And finally, Ujurak. I actually really liked him in this book. While the ‘hero doesn’t want to use their powers because xyz’ trope is a bit annoying, his reasoning was interesting, and I think it brought much-needed development to him. The Silaluk reveal was also really interesting, and added really cool lore to the story. Ujurak’s time as a human was also super interesting in this one, and I’m curious to see how his death is handled next book.
Overall, good but not amazing. I was hoping for more, but maybe that’ll come next book.

OH GOODNESS
At first, I was surprised by the sudden change in character of the cast. But then, when everything set into motion, they realized that they needed each other. Found family trope at its finest.
My girl Lusa suffered throughtout the whole book. Ujurak was again the MVP. Toklo, while annoying at first, proved to be the best at the end. And Kallik, my beloved. She's the leader we need, but don't deserve.
I love these cubs with all of my heart and I shall defend them forever <3

The fifth book in the series Seekers, was really good, clearly a built up for final book but was more enjoyable than the fourth book before it! It’s left me excited for the last book and the characters have become even more memorable and loveable! Would recommend but you definitely need to have read the first four books for it to make sense! 5/5

I do quite enjoy seekers. This one though just felt a bit slower than the rest. I know there wasnt a major story for Toklo in this one but sometimes I feel a small spark between him and Lusa. It's cute.

This book had a lot of character build up. The characters were always there for each other and never let anything stop them. Sometimes they had to go they're own way, then they couldn't go on without knowing if they were okay. I love how they need each other to finish they're journey. Love it!

I love reading Erin Hunter’s books. The seekers series has not disappointed. Her social commentary about the environment is “spot on”, and using animals in the wild is such a great way. I look forward to finishing this last novel. Great series to read.

This one seems like a repeat to me except on ice. I also thought the characters haven't been as endearing in this book with the possible exception of one tertiary one. I will still finish the series but this wasn't my favorite. It is a fast read though.

Things are shaken up a bit in this episode as leadership roles and provider rolls get turned around once the bears hit the ice and it is a new world for all but one.
