Endlich bin ich durch. Puuuuh! Aber über 1500 Seiten lesen sich nicht so nebenher ...
Der erste Teil hat mir noch sehr gut gefallen, aber mit Teil 2 beginnt die Geschichte leider zu schwächeln. Viele verwirrende Informationen, die man erst so nach und nach zuordnen kann. Der dritte Teil geht am Ende eigentlich in seitenlangen Beschreibungen von Kämpfen unter, auch das Ende hat mir in dieser Form nicht wirklich gefallen. Daher reicht es in Summe auch bei mir nicht für mehr als drei Sterne.

Interessante dreiteilige Dystopie in naher Zukunft, die für mich jedoch von Band zu Band ein wenig nachgelassen hat (4 Sterne, 3,5 Sterne und 3 Sterne), je mehr es auf dem finalen Konflikt und erneuten Krieg zwischen den Menschen und den Partials (= künstliche Menschen) und Weltuntergang zusteuerte. Insgesamt vergebe ich daher 3,5 Sterne.

Endlich mal eine Dystopie/Endzeitgeschichte wo die Liebesgeschichte nicht im Vordergrund steht. Und nicht ganz unvorstellbar. Bin begeistert :) Wird in ein paar Jahren auf jeden Fall nochmal gelesen und bleibt im Regal!

A hot mess and a disappointing ending to an otherwise great series. The true story could have been condensed into about 150 pages - the rest was full of dead and and filler.

This is the story of Kira in a world that has very little people left due to a virus and a vicious group of synthetic humans called The Partials. The only remaining survivors in North America are now all together on Long Island. For over a decade, every baby that has been born dies within days, so pretty soon, no humans will be left.
Kira, who is 16 years old, and training to be a medic is desperate to find a cure. When one of her closest friends gets pregnant, she knows that she must do anything she can to save that baby. She sets out to find a Partial that she can study because she is sure they are the key to humanity's survival. What she discovers along the way will change her path completely.
As most people know, I am a pretty big fan of dystopian novels. When I can get my hands on one, I give it a try. I got this book in a haul from a friend, and was surprised to see the limited reviews for it on Amazon. (it is an older book). It was a pretty good story. It is lengthy, but it held my attention through the whole book. It is a fresh take which I always appreciate. The plot flows along nicely, and there are some twists you don't see coming. For a YA novel, it has pretty good world building. It keeps pace, and the ending left you wanting more AND was wrapped up nicely in case you don't wish to read the other novels in the series.
I have heard that the next two are dreadful, so I might stop here with this one. It left me satisfied enough that I don't need more if I am not going to get a good story.

This series was the best mix of action, romance, and character growth. These three books have different themes and take place during different parts of a larger timeline. One of my favorite parts about this series is that it feels like one book. All three books are all just as good for different reasons and keep you turning the page or continuing onto the next chapter with the need to know what happens next. If you are looking for a series to read about a smart and strong independent women this is the series for you.

First book was interesting near-future sci-fi set on Long Island. Characters were kind of nothing-burgers but story was ok. I DNF’ed during book 2 because it was boring af. I might come back to this series but skip ahead to book 3.

An interesting collection of stories of some post-apocalyptic Earth with one side willing to do anything to win the war. Sometimes you get more than you expect and unexpected results occur.

I love these books. New twists and turns along the way. I really love the character development that occurs throughout the stories. I truly enjoy the audiobook version as well.

A post apocalyptic series with some dystopic element set in year 2076, eleven years after the human species is almost wiped out during the Break...
A well written and interesting story with a really good set of characters.
The series keeps being good from the beginning to the end and the story never feels dragged like in many trilogies I've read (even in the Hunger Games or in Divergent, which I really liked, there were parts I would have gladly parted with). Also, there is a really good balance between character development and a fast pacing and intriguing story.
The writing style is very good.
I recommend this series to all the fans of the genre.

An astounding sci-fy, medical thriller! The Partials Sequence rivals The Hunger Games trilogy in my opinion. If you love post-apocalyptic, dystopian thrillers, this is a MUST READ.
