I could put his whole head in my mouth if I wanted to. He hated it when I did that.

No comments, I'm laughing too hard to talk.

This is obviously a sci-fi kind of book. Alien and human, of the sort of Claimings, Tails, and Other Alien Artifacts but much more hilarious and mischievous. It's like Han Solo and Chewbacca living in marriage in the Millennium Falcon together, only that it's much less hairy and the human is the grumpy one.

Trevor and his husband from outer-space make ends meet by accepting errands, mostly jobs from people who don't want to get their hands dirty: blackmails, cargo transport, etc. Don't ask, don't tell, and they do it. Suddenly there is an offer they cannot refuse, above all when the extra-terrestrial creature sees that with that money he will be able to provide his human the best and retire together just afterwards.

But this assignment is not the usual one.

It goes without saying this is not the ordinary story. It's funny and witty, a great sense of humor I could not resist. But it's also terribly adorable. These two beings, having a routine together, their banter and their interactions, make your heart squeeze. Companionship and even erotic moments, because they have found the way to make it work, not only good, but very good. The alien being happy with whatever Trevor fancies all of a sudden, he just doesn't care what his human wants or even that his ideas are pretty crazy and insane.

He will just make them come true and spoil him forever.

I thoroughly recommend this book. It's quite short, 18 pages only. You can find it here: Makes Three free story.

This was a delicious fun read. Rarks is a lark. Their banter was funny with a wealth of emotion and love flowing underneath. Would dearly love to hear more from them.

Domashita does it again. I can't believe I missed this editon on S2B2 to only to see it now with her AO3 update.

NB - I added this book to goodreads - took the liberty of cropping the pic to keep it nearer worksafe.

Anyone who enjoyed El Presidio is going to love this, there's the same irreverent humour bouncing through the story.

The narrator is the seven foot alien, his love interest a 'little' (in comparison) psycho human. Their interactions are hysterical, the whole starting scenario made me grin and then there's those sneaky touches of sweetness that Romero manages to add without turning things soppy.

I wont include quotes because that would spoil the fun of reading this, but there's some good ones.

A quick light read with dynamic characters, go read it - I'm laughing too much to say more...

Wow, the art for this one's a total win!

Looking for a fun romp with a gigantic alien and a tiny human, who "weighs about as much as one of the alien's more substantial shits", look no further!

This is your typical Domashita entertainment injection. Though I can't deny that I'm often dissatisfied with her shorter short stories (18 pages), because they leave little room for anything more than a few glimpses of brilliance and are basically over before you've had a chance to adapt to her world and make yourself comfortable. I much prefer her 40 pages stories.

*3.5*

Very cute and charming, but since they are already an established couple, I found myself wanting to read their "original" story. It sounded like the way they met was quite interesting!
A bit too much of unwritten things hinted at for my taste, but still very entertaining for such a short read.

Now, this was recommended to me and I saw the title..so I assumed, well let's just say I made the wrong assumption.
Lol, it happens.

I'm not a huge sci-fi/alien fan but I will read it, and this one is so silly, funny, ridiculous and cute and definitely worth the few minutes it takes to read.
Gotta love a huge 7ft thorny, scaly alien and a freaky crazy tough little human.
“I forget how little you are." I could put his whole head in my mouth if I wanted to. He hated it when I did that.

This is true love people!

First book of the new year and it has a seven foot tall alien and his husband with vestigial nipples that confuse said seven foot alien.

This was so much fun.
This was so adorable.
This made me laugh out loud and fall head over heels in love.

I am so glad I liked the picture and checked this out. I'll just leave this here...

"You know, if baby me had met baby you?" I said, and Trevor raised his eyebrows at me. "I'd've eaten you. Whole."

He grinned, laughing silently. "Yeah, I know," he said. "You're sweet like that."

Funny and unexpected, which always gets a win from me. Short and to the point, cute without being ridiculous, and sweet--in its own way. Plus, there's interspecies sex.

Thanks feed, or Sheziss who got to from Meep :)

Kind of a fluke for me and Domashita, but I just wasn't feeling this. Probably the same reason I don't generally read books with a pre-existing relationship. First I had trouble following cuz I didn't know if the narrator was the human or the alien. Then they're all bantery with little inside jokes that I didn't find all that cute or funny since I wasn't emotionally attached to them yet. Then the climactic story-line turned out to be pointless. I did like their last little convo , but this just caught me at the wrong time.

They alluded to the fact that they met when Rork was hired to kill Trevor, I would have rather read that story.

Not bad, but I needed more. It felt like a chapter out of longer story rather than one that could stand on it's own merits. I needed more about the characters before I could care about them or their situation.

I'm so not surprised why people have loved this short tale.

In the spirit of Firefly this was all sorts of fun!
-Outer space shenanigans
-Alien love
-Campy humor

I need a whole series chronicling the crazy adventures of these two, starting with how they met! More please!

A thoroughly enjoyable short story, recommended by Sheziss (aka Ms I Recommend Weird Stuff You're Gonna Like). Thanks for bringing on the loopy and bizarre!
I found myself laughing out loud at the adventures and unusual relationship between a 7 foot alien and a soft- bellied human. Married and gallivanting across some universe far far away trying to earn a living, they take on board unusual cargo to transport.
Even if alien/human MM stories are not your thing give it a pop. You won't be disappointed
