The students of East High are preparing for the SATs, and Gabriella has the unfortunate honor of tutoring Sharpay, who shines much more brightly on stage than she does on her practice tests. Luckily, everyone has the school's upcoming Halloween party to take their minds off the SAT crunch. This year's theme is "Future Fantasy" and the students will wear costumes that represent what they would like to be someday. Gabriella and Troy wonder what kind of future the other foresees, but they'll have to wait until the party to find out. Will their visions match up? Or do the two of them have different ideas about where they're headed?
Not as good as the last one, but interesting and funny at times.
That's about it.
The SATs are coming up and Gabriella is the person that will be hosting -- basically -- the studying sessions. At the same time, there's a Halloween dance coming up. 'Future Fantasy' is the theme that's been decided and every student going needs to go as what they think they will be in twenty years. This stresses out several of the familiar characters. Troy also has a big game coming up and it doesn't help that the couch -- his dad -- decided to tell him there would be a talent scout from the university to watch him and his team play. Sharpay is tempted to put the SATs on the backburner because she's more interested in the three play options that the drama teacher is juggling. There's a new annoying character named Nathan in the SAT group that thinks grades are more important than people. Ryan has a small random part that doesn't really seem to have much of a reason aside from being nervous about the SATs as well.
First off, that's not the Halloween Dance Theme that I would've chosen. I didn't think it was necessarily a horrible idea, but not the greatest, either. Secondly, all this book seemed to do was imply that "studying is cool." Also, Gabriella getting Sharpay to focus on studying for the SATs by getting her think of it as her portraying some grades nerd in a play was not very believable.
Honestly, it wasn't the worst thing I've ever read, but I'm going to give it 2 stars. It was anticlimactic and not much really happened. What did happen was kind of stupid.
i think this one most accurately captured the essence of each character so far. like this is exactly how i’d expect each of them to act about the sats and the future (tho lol okay chad the hip hop wannabe, where did that come from). also, this literally sets up hsm3, specifically troy’s dilemma so well.
Lowkey, this book is for Sharpay enthusiasts - proving that she's just as smart as Gabriella, she just chooses to apply herself in theater instead of academics.
Another good book in this series... Looks like N.B. Grace does a great job of capturing the essence of the characters from the High School Musical films... I feel like this is a mini series to the films and I look forward to reading them every time.
This one was eagerly interesting, I love how Gabriella managed to trick Sharpay into revising for her SATs. And the entire focus on Troy's future, some people know what they want to be when they grow up, but as Troy's dad said, the average person changes careers four times in their life, so at 17 you don't need to focus on your future careers.
I remember looking at uni courses, totally unsure of what I wanted to be. If I had read this book back then, I think I would've found it easier to choose courses to look into, but I don't think I would've chosen any other course than the one I'm currently studying.
I learned quite a bit from this book, surprisingly. However the cover is very misleading, it should be Gabriella and Sharpay on the front, not Gabriella and Taylor. Especially since Taylor wasn't even in this much!
I felt nostalgic reading this book... Might just get the HSM films and watch them all over again!
To me,i like this book as it is funny for SHARPAY the demon had changed into an exact different person.and again,it took place in east high wilcats. The students of East High are preparing for the SATs,and Gabriella has the unfortunate honor of tutoring Sarpay-who shines much more brightly onstage than she does on her practice test.Luckily, the school's upcoming Halloween festivalis taking everyone's mind off the SAT crunch. This year's theme is Future Fantasy, and the students will wear costumes that represent what they would like to be someday.Gabriella and Troy are both wondering what kind of future the other foresee, but they'll have to wait until the party to find out. Will their visions match up?or do the two of them have different ideas about where they're headed?.........go & read it if you're interested in finding out the ending.
The students of east high are preparing for the SAT'S, and Gabriella has the fortuneteller honor of Tutoring Sharpay. And Sharpay isn't a very big fan of school or anything that has to do with school besides being on the stage. Luckily the new upcoming Halloween Festival is taking everyone's mind of of the SAT"S crunch. Will the halloween festival ruin gabriella and taylor's freindship? This is one of those waste of time to read books but it still is pretty good!
Again, I'm not a fan of the books. This book is about the school getting ready for everything. From SATS to a basketball game! I'm not a fan, but it was alright, good writing, just not my kind of story. Where was this in the movie?
There is this one kid who is obsessed with the SAT test, and he wants to keep taking it over until he achieves a perfect score. Talk about a perfectionist.
Lol, the way Sharpay imitated Gabriella seriously just cute but stupid. I never saw HSM series even for once, so I don't really know about Sharpay, was she annoying? because I think she wasn't annoying, just being immature and act-like-diva. I like this book better than the previous book.
I LOVE all the East High Series. At first, when i first bought the book, i thought it was an imitation. Slowly, i began to like it! EVERYONE should try it!
Lecturas para pasar el tiempo, como he dicho antes, Ni bien ni mal, son para recordar mi infancia más que nada, son algo entretenidas, pero no son lecturas memorables. That's it.
